Getting lessons consistently in the beginning is really the best way. Get the swing down, short game and then course management and you are playing great golf
One of the best books for the “Mind Game” while playing ….. “The Inner Game of Golf” - Tim Gallwey All about trusting Self 1 vs Self 2. Brilliantly done and a metaphor for life.
I’m surprised that nobody has mentioned this already. After Tim’s second shot from behind the tree you can clearly see that his ball ends up in the rough. Cut to his 3rd shot and it off the fairway. So either really bad editing or he is cheating and they picked the ball up. Don’t want to be a hater but not sure you can believe he actually parred the next hole based on this.
You are right. Chippies out to the semi, approached from the fairway.....Not only that, but I really cannot see how his pitch from the greenside position landed anywhere near the green - let alone the hole....😅 We all know golf is a tough game - if he'd taken a month of intensive training and then gone out there it would still have been a big ask.... Great to watch, but ultimately disappointing.
@@akinoshoko4258 I agree with your point on the chip beside the green. No way that ends up where it does. Totally agree. Would it really have been so bad to just admit that golf is too hard to learn that quickly. Or maybe have a challenge to try and par a hole against what the max handicap is. Which is probably where Tim is after his couple of days.

18:00. The magic of editing. One second the ball is clearly in the rough, the next it magically appears in the fairway! I love TF but didn’t know he was a magician!
STOP!!! AT 8:50 THIS GUY JUST PROVED HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT!!! I WAS A PROFESSIONAL CADDIE FOR TEN YEARS. HE HAS YOU CARRYING THE GOLF BAG BACKWARDS!!!!!! HUGE RED FLAG RIGHT THERE!!!
hahaha Timo, ur such a dork in your golf attire. Nice vid, and as a decent golfer/addict, I really enjoyed your process.. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PLAY; it's a game that keeps on giving back to us, multifold.
The tee shot for par had a still body-center motion. That same thing works tremendously for me. When I concentrate to stop head and shoulder sway I can hit it purely.
I made two pars in the first three holes I ever played (happy accident). No disrespect as I appreciate your work but you still have a very long way to go with golf. A more meaningful experiment would be to see how quickly you could break 100, 90, 80, etc. over 18 holes.
Tim, I ran an experiment in 2022. I wanted to see how good I could get at golf if I quit my job and used two years of savings to play every day. I learned so much man. I can get you good so fast haha. I went from a 12 handicap to a +2 in two years. Hit me up!!
Very interesting and entertaining video. Having gotten into golf seriously the last year and setting my 2024 goal to break 80 I really enjoyed this. Next suggestion for the experiment......big game hunting.
Take advice from major champions Tom Watson & Paddy Harrington. 85% or more of our clubhead speed comes from our arms & esp. wrists so focus on them, you can even practice w/ feet together or on 1 leg to quiet the body down & maintain your balance. The great Ernest Jones was a par golfer on 1 leg, not much body action there.
Swing with freedom and the understanding that inertia allows the club to do the work - enjoy it with friends who also know how to laugh at themselves. 🙏🏼
Huge fan since you double-book dropped 4-hour body on EO Detroit, I think you should emphasize the scores on those two holes you played. 8 followed by a legit birdie putt is awesome, welcome to golf!!!
He scored at least 9......His 2nd shot landed in the rough from behind the tree, he must have chipped onto the fairway, played fourth to the greenside, pitched on (or so they'd have us believe) for 5, and took 4 putts to get down... That's a 9 minimum......
few points... golf is harddd as shit so fair play for even giving it a go, i got down to scoring around 85-90’s a round and it’s a difficult labour of love! stressful, expensive, sometimes disastrous with english weather 😂 feels to me like you tried a thing and found THE thing, they tell you to try lots of things to find out what you are good at... turns out you’re crap at golf but half decent at bowling 😂😂😂 lose the clubs, buy some bowling shoes, enjoy your leisure time! great watch again tim 👏🏻
How to quickly learn golf? Master the backswing , a short backswing gives you more consistency and control. spend 3-6 months everyday at the driving range until you have a reasonably good swing, then start playing at golf course every 2-3 days. After 3 months, take your handicap test, and congrats, you’ve just mastered golf to play at a level that people have spent over 10 years and with coaching. To get to a mid level handicap, spend hours and hours on the green and master short game, putting and chipping. And that’s it.
Hate to say this but this is the quickest way to learn with an unlimited budget. World famous coach + $100k initiation fee to get into Lake Merced Golf Club.
Just my opinion, but if you are wiffing on the tee, you don’t belong on the course. Spend a month playing simulator golf. Transition to the course comes when you are mostly making solid contact and have a repetitive motion.
Before watching; With Golf, she is a cruel mistress who always calls you for a booty call. You've gone too far this time Tim! 🤣😂 Also, Terry underlines most of my experiences with pro's at the high end golf clubs, being, Terry and compadre's are kinda dicks! 😂
I wonder how many attempts it took Tim to get par on the second hole, especially after clearly seeing him cheat on the hole before. As someone who started playing golf 4 years ago, this is a load of BS!
This is ridiculous, and yet I can't say untrue - but definitely not reality or recent. More deceptive marketing to help himself, and lure others into fantasyland. Sure it's possible to hit a good shot on a short par 3 and make par, but the 8 on the par 4, even with the editing is a lot closer to reality. He's such a disappointment. I really wanted to like him. Honestly, disappointed that Terry would let him post it this way, but I guess that says something about him too.

This feels like 2006 discover channel. I love this Tim!

If I had to guess the TV network cut it down to get to 21 minutes and thought no one would notice
Yeah I noticed that too.
Lowkey I waited so long to watch some of these episodes. Glad you were able to finally get them on RUclips !

I love how bad looked at literally everything he tried, but still put it out there.

I rather see him to take a basic lesson from a pga coach, not a scientist

Your 18:00 shot went in the rough, your next shot the ball was in the fairway. Bruh come on, really?
checked the comments to see if anyone else noticed this - Golf is BRUTAL, show allllll the pain we go through :D
Great content… That said, you made me feel better about my golf game.
The tee shot for par had a still body-center motion. That same thing works tremendously for me. When I concentrate to stop head and shoulder sway I can hit it purely.

Sounds like the book "Paper Tiger"

Video I didn't know I needed but loved every minute of it! thanks Tim!

Just what I needed Tim. Fantastic
Brilliant as always anything is possible... definitely should do more.
To get control you need to give up control. Thats what my coach said. Being in control makes you tense and you loose flow.
those trousers.... whoa
Welcome to golf Tim! ⛳️
I recall Tim tried this 5-10yrs ago. I laughed because deepok chopra and Tim both thought they could speed learn golf like learning Spanish. 😂
We learn something new everyday! Mine is that Tim is my neighbor 😂
*was (he's in TX now)
"Alright Mr. Demille I'm ready for my closeup...closer...closer...closer." *eating camera * "Pewfect"
few points...

Excited to see this
I'll teach you golf. You teach me how to not be obese. Deal?

And that’s it.
As proven once again, success at golf is all down to your clothing.
It's one thing to "learn golf quickly" it's another thing to actually play golf well.
Learning golf is easy. Doing it well consistently is difficult.
Sorry Tim, despite recruiting elite-level help, golf chewed you up and spat you out.. welcome to the long road 😜
Golf really is the hardest
Tim is invited to come on Big Boy Pants Golf, RUclips’s Hottest Golf Channel, to discuss his new book The 4 Hour Golf Swing.
BRILLIANT
So cool ~ we’ll done
Haha, you’re hooked!
very cool!
All brains and no steez
I learned golf in 10 minutes
“It just feels right” welcome to the dark side my friend
Wise man once say…. Golf is hard
these vids are so old yet tim still looks the same nowadays, perks of being bald from the beginning
I hate to say this, but that is the worst way to learn how to play gold! The quickest way to learn how to play golf is without hitting the golf ball!!
Hate to say this but this is the quickest way to learn with an unlimited budget. World famous coach + $100k initiation fee to get into Lake Merced Golf Club.
Do snowboarding
Cool
Man why not just go out with your buddies and learn over time and have fun
Interesting. Didn't realize Tim was so un-athletic... Which sport do you think produces the best athletes?
Just my opinion, but if you are wiffing on the tee, you don’t belong on the course.
Spend a month playing simulator golf. Transition to the course comes when you are mostly making solid contact and have a repetitive motion.
you picked the wrong teacher.
wow
need money to pay for all that
How about chess?
There is Zero quick way to learn golf. Next subject

Good call reposting 10 year old content as new! Still entertaining tho.
Golf is not something that you stop learning
I wonder how many attempts it took Tim to get par on the second hole, especially after clearly seeing him cheat on the hole before. As someone who started playing golf 4 years ago, this is a load of BS!
It was a real par haha. 8i on green. Chunked putt next to the hole.

Dude... He had you carrying the bag the wrong direction. Clubs in front of you!
Why is the first physical assessment guy wearing a suit and tie?
