There's been so much coverage of the youth unemployment rate. I would be interested to see what the overall unemployment rate is and for older age brackets to gain a broader perspective on unemployment in the PRC.
Interesting insights, Don. I have heard many others mention the youth unemployment problem, but no one mentioned that Chairman Xi was jealous. This makes sense too. Because Xi's experience in the countryside during the cultural revolution was pretty tough. Even though he carried 100 KG bags of wheat for 3 miles up and down hills without stopping!
China's economic crisis feels like a bad mixture of the US '07 housing bubble (massive speculation and overbuilding real estate) and the early Great Depression (overproduction driving prices down, falling consumption).
Wall Street is booming and doing just fine. The American economy is on the upside and manufacturing is going* to bring back employment. Look8ng at the steady growth of the US economy we are going to continue to be the biggest and strongest economy for at least the next 50 years.
China is becoming Kenya, exact same problems with overeducated youth but no jobs for them, and systemic corruption, even though the latter has different causes.
More like industry needs to fund their own training programs to get the skilled workers they say they want. For too long they relied on government education and poaching competitors for labor.
Thanks for the forecast! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
It’s too bad the youth of China are so passive about protests. Pressure would result is a change of direction to what every economist learns 15:56 Y = C + I + G and in mature economies Cis the biggest

Great show, Don!
Thank you, Don. 👍
Too many old people, too few young people. Is this a huge problem for China?
Yes, it's been extesively by many sources under the topic of "China's Demographics Crises."
of course it is. just look at the demographics,
Very interesting, thank you.
If the CCP continues to mismanage the economy you would expect tension between the people and the government to increase.
What is the demand for knowledge workers in a country where knowledge is illegal?
Well said 💯
Being young today sucks worldwide.
They’re all about their selfs no pity for the youth .
don't worry, when you grow older, it would get better
Thank you Don, another very informative video.
As a fellow human being, and college graduate, I feel terrible for kids facing this type of job market.
China is in such a mess in so many ways.

Industry and academia need to align with each other. Teach what industry and local business needs requires. CPP needs to mandate policy.

Gaslighting, the universal constant
