Dong, excellent report. There's an orchestra on Titanic that kept on playing musical pieces boldly to soothe the panic mood of the passengers on the doomed ship as it went down. Seems China will go down with Xi as a ship captain would be like Titanic, with little pinks playing a chorus of nationalism and patriotic sentiments.
Loosening control, or losing control, and perhaps starting to fear citizens and how much bigger and more frequent will protests be. There needs to be a lot of obvious changes, but those changes require some type of admission that the previous policy or direction was wrong or has failed, and governments are always bad at admitting faults.
Your video provides an insightful analysis of China's economic situation, but there are a couple of areas to refine for clarity. The claim about the yuan dropping below 7.3 is accurate, and it strengthens your argument about economic pressures-though some earlier fact-checks missed confirming this point. However, your framing of Xi Jinping as entirely "hands-off" might oversimplify the situation, as evidence suggests cautious interventions in markets, like propping up bond yields and the Asia market. Your discussion of censorship is compelling, but it might overstate how much influence economists like Fuang and Gaan have on the broader public. Overall, your analysis is strong, but a bit more nuance on Xi's strategy and the economists' niche audience could make it even more impactful.
This echoes what occurs in the west. We don't learn even with the advantage of hindsight. Furthermore the unfortunate reality that humankind is still tribalist regardless of education. History just echoes or rhymes. A real shame. Thank you 🙏

Americans may not be able to endure hardships in times of peace, but historically speaking, they are able to endure quite a bit during times of war. I wonder if China may make the mistake of unifying the Americans from their partisan politics by turning this into a hot war.
Understanding American politics....both republican and democrats are in favor of stopping the ccp. If this were to become a war, it would be like world War 2. It would be disastrous for all, but the ccp would be wiped out.

If Don Xiang was purely attempting to gain money and fame on RUclips, he would have given up a long time ago. I enjoy his analyses of China and regard them as equal to the best available.

2% doesn't even compensate for inflation, let alone return any yield
Currently, in China, inflation is running at 0.2%, highest rate was 0.7% in Feb this year, so it does make sense.

Once things get back to somewhat working those with harsh things to say about the CCP will have a hard time.
