I have so many happy childhood memories of Kingston. My late grandparents had a shack directly across the rd from the beach. It was very emotional for me to see the beach and light house again, being there with my grandparents. Its changed A LOT since i was last there. Its massive now, it was only a tiny little country town. It didnt have those wall paintins, or the history trail when i was there, But it was nice to see the light house, the IGA and the 2 pubs again, and it was especially nice to see the beach again and Larry the Lobster. When i was a little girl, i loved Larry the Lobster. Before me and my nanna knew his name, we called him Lollie the Lobster. And when i found out that he was bought by a private owner, i was worried like the locals that he was going to get removed, but i was super glad that he got to stay where his always been. It wouldn't be Kingston wothout Larry welcoming you into Kingston when u arrive 🦞
Yes the town has certainly grown, but its still a lovely place. Larry the Lobster was a real highlight for us; he looks great on the highway, welcoming everyone to town. Thanks for sharing your memories! 🙂
