spent many a day at Duffields, rode my bike all the way there from Centereach. Never quite forgot the day some kid jumped on me from the the 8 ft dive . I almost became one of the lakes many victims. Turners had a small amusement park there as well. Raynors ,Green, Hollywood, was some of the other lakefront places . Ice skated there as well .Caught my first Largemouth Bass there. . Yellow Perch were so plentiful you could fill your stringer in less than an hour .Learned to swim in the lake . The lake was clean but you could see the decline by the mid 60s
