Nice work Blades, enjoying the series so far!
Regarding your comments at 45:52 , I think Misery mode is fantastic, and it's a great way to introduce more of the playerbase to the no-regen style of play. However for that 0.1% playing NOGOA already I don't think it really works because it's so much easier to get established with all the free health. gotmilkanot and I have been doing OuterMisery runs and it's quite a bit easier than OuterNOGOA, so I think PON will remain the gold standard for now.
Technically you're right that endgame Misery is harder than endgame NOGOA but the endgame is the easiest part since you already have all the clothing, skills, tools, etc. My hope is that someone will come up with a custom challenge to stack on Misery that will be tough enough to justify the early condition regen, and also scale well into the mid-late game.

@@ArchimedesLP agreed! Early game is of course easier due to health regen but late game is gonna be tough with no stim regen, no cooking 5, less carry weight, colder etc
However more plants and renewable birch is very nice, even if it doesnt heal
I do still think 500 will be harder on this mode compared with when i did it on pre-recipe nogoa but i guess i will see

It’ll be interesting if they add the afflictions into the custom menu. Being able to add them in to other challenges in some measure could make really cool challenges possible

Just for reference here is the exact transcript of what Raphael said about Misery: "Misery is the culmination of our work to ratchet up the challenge and difficulty of the punishing interloper even further. While we are sure there are still some TLD players out there who will find a way to master Misery, we believe it will live up to its name for the vast majority of our players even the really hardcore ones. Misery is really really hard."

@@BladesTLD The mental transition from using condition as a resource to not being able to will probably be the hardest part of Misery.

@@SlippedGear yeah i can imagine its a big shift for a lot of people. Luckily ive played more without health regen than i have with health regen so i have some experience. That being said, i havent played for a few months so im a little rusty

32:25 Day 100 is also my ultimate goal, but anything over day 60 on my first run and I'll be totally stoked. Barring any random wolf attack or whatever, I think you'll make it at least 100 days. But crazy things can happen.

If you’re not going to keep the bear meat, is it worth quartering or should you just harvest the hide and guts separately?
