I don't have a lot of cosplays, but here in Brazil 95% of us don't have garage/attic to store so personally I keep most of my thinks in my cospartner house who has a guest room which we use part of her closet to store the clothes and accessories are in boxes all labeled so we know what is where. My wigs are under my bed(I have one of those boxes to store things inside, with my lolita dresses(because why have one expensive hobby when you can have two?!) and bags and hats some college stuff I should trow away but I like to look from time to time. Store anything is much harder when we don't have space hahahaha
I'm so mesmerised by the idea of the clothing bags! I keep losing my cosplay stuff, so I loooove the idea of just having absolutely everything together (except for styled wigs). I often use pieces of my cosplay out of cosplay, but I can always take em out and put em back in.
My way of organizing is this: I have a small space (veeeery small) in my closet dedicated to more delicate costumes and longer costumes. And if a costume is really long (like my Angelica Schuyler dress), I put it in a plastic bag, and hook the bag handles on the hanger. Any delicate costumes go in a garmet bag. It's just my way of organizing.
For smaller cosplays I like to use those laundry mesh baskets and put everything that I need for that cosplay in that bag. It’s really handy for traveling to different places
Your so lucky, your pretty, you can go to conventions, your creative, you can cosplay without being judged just for wanting to, you have a wonderful personality. I hope you never stop doing what you love!
Thank you. But I work hard and save enough money to go to cons, and judgement frequently comes my way. As it does anyone. It shouldn't let stop you from doing something you want to. I hope you continue doing what you love bb ❤️
This is a huge inspirarion, esp the garage--- I mean CLOSET, aspect!! I don't have much room esp for cosplay and I'm slowly taking over an area of the garage from my brother and father. Unfortunately I'm so scared of dust and etc getting on everything due to sharing it with two construction workers in the family, but the garmet bags look aMAZING and SUCH. A GOOD idea. Can't wait for the next episode!!
I legitimately thought I was the only person who said floof haha. I do a lot of the same things with my cosplays, so nice to see that great minds think alike.
Now I feel like going through my closet and reorganizing my cosplays. Because my cosplays are strewn everywhere rn. I started putting my wigs in a plastic storage box, but then realized I have too many wigs, so I moved it to a cardboard box. I have been meaning to go to the Dollar Tree to get their suit storage covers. Now, this video just reminded and inspired me to do just that.
This makes me feel so much better about my (similar) not-so-glamorous ways of storing costumes. 😂 May we all get a glorious large storage space one day
I feel you on the limited space, I got one of those like cloth closet things, and keep all my wigs on top of my library either on wig heads if they are styled or in the box next to it if they aren't.
Also I love the kiki-bow slide into frame, you crack me up. Can you give any advice / tips for storing armor when it's hot outside? in the Midwest, we can get up to about 110 degrees and I worry about worbla and 3D printed, painted parts. Also do you have a Overwatch tracer wig tutorial you'd recommend?
It can get into the 100s here in so cal too. And I've never had my armor melt or disform while wearing it or while it's stored in the garage. Only 1 thin piece of just worbla (no foam under it) curved slightly when i forgot it in my car the whole day. But especially if you have craft foam under the plastic it will hold up. And I have a Tracer wig tutorial as part of my Tracer series :)
I love this! Didn't even think about those bags. I just went to a con and forgot 2 parts of my Cosplay cause it's all in different boxes and closets. So using this idea. I have a small closet too ,can't walk into it that's for sure. So I bought a huge Ikea closet that takes up most of my room Just to store more Cosplay stuff. Ha
Are you still working on the video for the Rose Quartz/Stevonnie shield? I've really been looking forward to it. I love the organization ideas for your costumes.
Thank you for all your tutorials! They have helped immensely. I am following your Harley tutorials because me, my cousin, and friend are gonna be Harley, Poison Ivy, and the joker for SakuraCon in Seattle next year. I have a question about to store heavy shoes or just shoes in general. I have several heavy shoes such as Ed Elric of FullMetal Alchemist boots, Grell from Black Butler, and Hikaru from Oran High School Host Club. Ive got them currently just on the bottom of my closet but just cluttered and Im worried that the paint job will come off of shoes such as Grell and and Ed. Could you give me some advice on how to store shoes?
I really enjoy watching videos like this and brainstorming how I want store everything together and maybe in their own special are rather than my "everyday" items, but right now that is all it is. Brainstorming. Because I'll be moving in a couple of months with no idea yet what kind of space I will have (though hopefully I get lucky) but for now I feel you on the limited space. Right now I just kind of store things together depending on what it is. Shoes with shoes. Wigs with wigs. A few props/plushies here or there but in easy enough places to remember. Longer or bulkier items hanging up. Everything else in a large suitcase. (Much more organized and kept together than my husband's things lol! Then again a think I'm a little more of an organizing freak than he is but any who) Do you have any suggestions for if I want to use the same method for keeping cosplay all together in their own protective bag but 1 or more pieces are used for multiple cosplay s. For example I have a pair of calories that I use for 4 cosplay s. Grant it 3 of those are from the same series and very similar but yeah. Love your videos by the way.
I have a closet that is very very small and barely has enough room for me to crawl in it and we don’t have a basement and my room is also kinda small do u have any tips on where I can put my cosplay things? Also with styrofoam heads, do they fall easily cause I’m thinking of getting some but I will be putting them in a kinda small space?
I am blessed to be moving into a new house with my boyfriend soon were we will have an extra walk in closet in the guest bedroom. Witch is going to become a cosplay closet! No more hanging my complex costumes (like armor or leatherwork) off of my closet door! (I haven’t been able to close my closet since I made my franky costume!) where was this video 2 years ago! 😭
not sure if you've already answered this, but is there anything you do when you are transporting your hawkgirl wings to a convention? like anything you put them in or put over them?
I've only transported and worn them once and I just put them in the back of my car on top of everything else so they wouldn't get ruined. (I have a hatchback so they fit with my back seats down) in the future I'll probably put a garbage bag over each wing to help protect it.
This is kind of a random question but is your snow white hoop skirt made of plastic boning or metal boning? I just thought it might be plastic because of how flexible it is and I was wondering if plastic boning would hold up in a hoop skirt for my own projects.
i was sexually assaulted last week and my family have talked to the police at first everything was great until things turned bad. i am telling you this Alex because you are the only person i can speak to right now, currently i have been feeling depressed because the police have taken another side in this and the are looking at the assault differently. that night i felt hopeless i had nobody to go to i did not know the family or the area i was in. the morning after i was asked for i ride home but i was never told this information until 3 hours after the offer and now the police see that i wanted to stay because nothing bad happened that night but the do not know that i was told the information 3 hours after and if i was told then at the time i would not have a say in that. the time i am typing this i am still crying somebody please help me in this i do not know what to do HELP ME.
If you see my room youll pprobably be jelus of how big it is but tye backstory of my room would actually suprise you im living in my garage sory for bad spelling
Lowkey impressed that you fit all of Snow White in that one bag. That’s impressive.
Lol I know right. I'm still impressed with it myself 😉
I also have a tag hanging off my garment bag saying what the components are for the costume and a photo of the costume for easy selection
That is an excellent and professional habbit that I need to do as well

Noice lol the size of your closet is like the size of my room
Oml same

Dang... glad to know I’m not the only cosplayers who does this bag storage idea

You may be into Cosplay and DIY if you say Mod Podge instead of hodgepodge! lol 😂😊
Wait there are people who say "hodge podge" instead of "mod podge"?
This makes me feel so much better about my (similar) not-so-glamorous ways of storing costumes. 😂 May we all get a glorious large storage space one day
I love the way you store your cosplays in bags, I'm gonna steal your idea for my own costumes, because this is super practical!
....I definitely need to buy more garment bags.
Loved this, thank you! The Snow White “reveal” was super impressive too!!
We all dream with a storing space like the one Kamui has. Dreaming is free, haha!
Oh gosh! Your hair looks AWESOME I love it!!
I feel you on the limited space, I got one of those like cloth closet things, and keep all my wigs on top of my library either on wig heads if they are styled or in the box next to it if they aren't.
where is kiki's bag from ?! I love it
I was at dollar tree today and saw some outfit bags and didn't realize how great they are... definitely going to get a few next time
Ooohhh the dollar store has garment/jacket bags?? Yay! I can afford that method of storing costumes!!
Also I love the kiki-bow slide into frame, you crack me up. I love this! Didn't even think about those bags. I just went to a con and forgot 2 parts of my Cosplay cause it's all in different boxes and closets. So using this idea. That was meant to say capris not calories. I hate auto correct sometimes.

I just made a cosplay corner in my room so I just have random costumes hanging on my wall. (It actually doesn't look that bad)
The more I watch your videos, the more I love you & your cosplays. That’s a fact. 🙄
I am blessed to be moving into a new house with my boyfriend soon were we will have an extra walk in closet in the guest bedroom. Witch is going to become a cosplay closet!
