I am a 65 year old lady who discovered Moby through the Bourne films. During the COVID pandemic I was diagnosed with lung cancer. My only family are in Italy, I live in the UK and felt very alone. Throughout surgeries and treatment Moby’s music gave me such strength and comfort. I am so grateful there are artists of his talent in the world.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts, they have touched me deeply. I wish everyone good health, happiness and peace. ❤️
all the good energy for you
Touching read. Hope you make a full recovery and enjoy the new album
I want to hear Porcelain when my soul leaves Earth.
For that moment he wrote another song: when it is cold I like to die
@@amandailborn9865 I love that one as well. And God Moving Over the Face of the Water.
I heard it when I came
I fully agree……….this song means so much for many people….
Who are you?
It was 2000 and I was in year 9 (Aussie here) and I bought the PLAY CD at HMV... I would take a train to school everyday and for an hour I would have it on repeat. This song alone would be played at 6-7am sitting on the train watching all the houses go by thinking where I’ll be when I’m an adult. I’m now 36 with 2 boys and this song still gets me every time. Thank you.
Beautiful.
Remember Y2K when everyone wanted to commit suicide ?
Love that
If in 2000 you were 9, now you should be 30 not 36
@@muhamedbattiekh2291 Year 9 in Australia, i was 15.
Oh Moby, if you knew so much time I spent with you. I was a child, then I became a youth. Now I am 32 years old, and you are still with me. Thank you Moby! 🧡
💟
Aw! I felt this comment could've been mine 😁 I'm 33 now and Mobys work is the soundtrack of my life since I was 14. His music is absolutely one of a kind and always recognisable as his, immediately ♡
Same for me 💖
Porcelain is like a rewind button; takes you back in the past, when you were mulling over how the future would be.
You're right... pasr and also future... with Moby's music world seams open, easy, beautifull, magic is in the air
It always takes me back to the first time I did magic mushrooms lol
amazing !!!!
My disabled son loved Porcelain when he was a baby, it would relax him. This beautiful song will always forever brings back memories of us enjoying Moby's great talents.
A friend of mine has an autist son, and whenever he listens to these songs, he starts snapping his fingers in signal of happiness and comfort. Music is magic.
Hurts my heart all over again in a whole new way.
Amen.
See a cardioligist now :)
Stay healthy bro!

Hoping that your heart will heal. Mine is broken too. This song says it all 💜💜💜 💔?
My wife and I met on the train in 2000. Your music has been the soundtrack for us ever since. Porcelain reminds me of the first time I saw her. 20 years later and the memories are burned in my mind. She said yes and we say thank you!
Omg I love it
Your description is like living the scene again with you!
Nice;-)
I love this....
This was my brother's favorite song before he passed away 😢
Omg....this is really sad.... i give you a big hug

CRYSTAL AND PORCELAIN...
So many people here remembering their youth.
Same age, same feelings.
It’s weird and beautiful how good music have similar effects everywhere.
Good music dont care about sex, religion, money, skin.
Good music just care of your heart.
Thanks Moby
I can't breathe, I've been thrown back in time, before life fell apart, when I was innocent and hopeful and naive. If I could only...
I remember my childhood. I was 4 years old and had a DVD player. I had a CD with a collection of cool songs and there were 3 moby songs. We lived poorly, but we believed in work. now we have our own plant nursery. How long have I been listening to this song. A very soulful version. Thanks for the good songs.
Everything about this was beautiful, and I'm happy for your success with the new plant nursery.
Here's to a lifetime of even greater happiness and success, both in health and finances.
@The New NKVD Get a new life, and profile pic because it screams beta male. Thanks for chiming in.
This should be the pinned comment
You ought to play it for your plants. They would love the energy.
I sat with my girlfriend in the sand of Maya Bay. When the sun went down we heard porcelain. I will never forget that feeling. Difficult to explain, everything felt so "right" in that moment.
So sweet 😭
Like leo di caprio
Not all heroes wear capes. I was listening to this song when I was in the belly. Listened to it when I came out and am still listening to it still today. Thank you Moby.
Moby your music touches my heart!!!!
This man has made me cry with this whole new version. Can't believe the artistry behind this man.
This is going to be an amazing album ❤️
Thanks for doing it!
I agree with you. I cried as I listened to this while driving. Magical
Totally agreed!!
Yes Oswaldo absolutely ♥️
We love you moby, thank you for ever.
The first time I heard this I was watching the Beach in 2003. That movie is so incredibly beautiful as is this song. With so many pieces of hell out here I'm so thankful we have slices of heaven like this. It really helps me picture the world in better light again after going through something emotionally painful
I think The Beach was a way in for many to the genius that is Moby!
Geliebtes Schwesterherz! 1Jahr schon ohne Dich , still und heimlich bist Du gegangen! R.I.P
Man it's really weird, this song brings so much memories and emotions. It's really weird .... I don't think there is a song out there that just reminds me of the past like this song. I love you Moby
Oh wow. I thought I was the only one...
That song really just reminds me of the good times of the past
And I'm naturally a very nostalgic person
And whenever I hear a song from the past
I instantly feel those feelings really intensely. It's a hard feeling to describe
Because since it's so specific
But what you had just described
Is EXACTLY how I feel about "Porcelain".
If I had to pick a song that describes me, I'd most definitely pick that song. It's one of my favorite songs of all time.
This song is older than me, but now being an adult while hearing this and various other songs at random points in my life feels a bit strange... although I never feel strong emotions with music like some other people do it definitely feels nice to hear something you used to hear in the past again. It's almost comforting when a lot of the world is constantly changing and evolving around you.
Moby, you create the music. You were born for this.
I am a 15 year old teenager, I have been listening to Moby since childhood, I really like his music, this album turned out to be very good. When I ride a bike and listen to this album, I feel very good at heart. Thanks Moby! Hello from Russia!
This is sick nice “reprise” 👏🏼💯a classic favorite always
22 years later, and I still can't get enough of this track.....IN another 22 years I'm gonna feel the exact same way. Thank you, Moby.
Moby, are you ok? The picture and the this version are too, melancholic. We love you and your music. I'm about to cry.
He’s ok! This music was made in a sad moment but he’s good now so he can play it again 🤍
@@annezemmour80 Thank you, Anne.
It's 2000.
It's February.
Open Air.
It begins to snow.
A bald-headed guy steps on the stage, topless.

An experience of a lifetime.
I've been listening to the song porcelain for more than 10 years and for me it is and remains one of the best there is. I admire you for your music moby, thank you very much!
I wish more people listened to Jim James.
Hands down the best reprise ever
Hard to believe you could make it even more epic! Testament to the heart and soul of a genius composer that Moby is
I dream of playing some of his music
I just realised this song is actually about a heartbreak... jet When you listen to it, it feels more like a song about life and death, the true mening of existence, the universe and reality itself.
Moby reminds me i am still alive. Simply listening, helps me tune out the unexplained and irrational anger i constantly feel. Thank you so much Moby!!!
Porcelain was one of the first songs that made me truly relax and start reflecting on myself.
Thank you for decades of meditation Moby.
I replayed the play album hundreds of times (mostly this song) when I was very depressed.. 14 or 15.. and I have loved you ever since. Im so happy for this new version.. I love orchestrated redone songs. Thank you!!! 💜💜💜

This track hits me so hard with bitter sweet emotion.... my fiance passed away in front of me after a year of watching him wither away from pancreatic cancer...Moby's music has saved me from so much darkness. Thank you Moby..4everLoveU 💙
I'm from Kazakhstan, and all music that I heard was from the MTV channel and it was the only foreign channel in our country And I still remember that day when i found that song and the style have been extraordinary and not similar to the usual playlist. That was "LIFT ME UP" that so lovely but that was very hard to find that music because there were NO INTERNET )
But it's ok after 2 years i started to discover MOBY s sound. Thank u SIR

"in my dreams I'm dying all the time", "in my dreams I'm jealous all the time" "going out of my mind". Sounds like a new beginning.
This was the song I grieved with when my best friend suddenly died when I was 17. It always brings me close to him over and over throughout the years. Moby, thank you for all you have made and given the world.
The same note and the same text and so many years have passed. many years. We will not turn back time. But this music keeps it up to date and fresh.
Imagine someone saying "in my dreams I'm dying all the time" you'll never find a better song.
I've been listening to porcelain over and over again since March 8th. This was the song that put my twin baby girls back to sleep in the night when I held them and danced slowly. My heart is full of sadness and I just woke up myself in the middle of the night and this notification is on my phone. Goodnight Gem and Prize. 🌙☀️⭐

♡
Me hiciste emocionar ...🥺

I want this played at my funeral when my soul leaves my body and i fly around the beautiful planet and see the world which i have never seen.....such a beautiful song and tune it touches my soul moby is a musical mastermind love this 💜
Porcelain reminds me of a place I've never been, a song I've never heard and a poem I've never read. All focused on the woman I never had
This one brought me to tears; although it goes back to a time i didnt even exist , i dont know ,the magic of this track gets me every time.
Moby, your music triggers the brain's relaxation response and help to alleviate anxiety and depression. Your music should be prescribed to us all. Big Thank You for all of your amazing work!!!

I can't stand that this song is so awfully sad, it actually hurts to hear it, but I can't stop listening to it.
When I first heard the original in 2000, it made me yearn for something I never experienced..... Today, I heard this version for the first time, and it's like a bittersweet bookend to something I will never be able to explain. The zenith of Ecstacy, the nadir of Despair, and all that was in-between, before and after....
And now? Well maybe contentment, for the first time. It took me 43 years of existence, but it was worth it.
Moby 18 will always keep a special place in my heart ❤
I was listening to the radio (Aspen 102.3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) and they were playing this theme. I started looking for it in the web and put my ear phones on, it´s so beautiful! Thanks!

This song will always be a masterpiece of music, in each new version. 💚
This took me somewhere only we know.. Cheers to my. generation!!
Richard and francoise were so beautiful together oh my lord...
The musical intelligence of Moby is formidable. I bought the Reprise album at the second that it was released. Vinyl, of course. It is hard to not feel a single emotion at all at any of the songs, the Reprise album touches something deep in a person and takes you to a place uncharted in your mind for a little while. What else to say, than this is one of the best albums I have in my collection thank you Moby for this beautiful voyage and hitting me right there where I thought I did build thick walls, only to see them crippled by a few simple words and rhythms throughout the whole Reprise album and make it so special it edges my mind in ways I couldn’t imagine.
2020: Why does my heart feel so bad?
2021: Hold my cello.
Haha
Absolutely! ❤️
Greatest music man ever and best song and watching you live was one of the best experiences of my life! Love you Moby ♥️♥️♥️

Every time I hear this song I am automatically transported back to the first time I heard it. It's like it was yesterday. Few songs are so visceral for me.
Needed some beauty today, so here we are! 💖💖💖
It will remain a very reflective and melancholic piece of music - those strings take me back to the late 90's before 9/11, Terrorism, Corona, all of the craziness in the world, its sad but uplifting in a spiritual way. We are all leaving this place, but how ? let's leave it better than we came to know it. Peace to all.
Listening to this beautiful version and reading the comments, somehow it becomes tangible how transcendent the need to communicate is.
This song has been a frequent friend in my journey back to mental health. I first heard it when I had reached the nadir. I hear it now at the apogee, like breaking through the clouds into the sun. The sample (now live) from Exodus is the icing on the cake. This and My Weakness; great.
I found you in 1998 when I heard your music on X-Files. I've been a fan ever since! Love you Moby!!
Gorgeous and spectacularly beautiful no matter the rendition. Just brilliant.
OMG Its fantastic ❤️
Moby we love You 🇵🇱 ❤️
Beautiful as was beautiful the original. Ever-loving is full inspiration for me. Thank you for your music. Top of talents!

@@richarddelpapa3826 Yes, I'm sure he is! Moby is great.
I was born in 1999, and had never heard the original version of this song until a couple of months ago. Thank you Moby, for creating this reprise album, and the treasure trove of phenomenal music you've made over the years that I'm only now experiencing
I discovered Moby in 2001 when a friend gave me his double CD where they are Porcelain, Natural Blues, etc and I always use his music for work presentations or as background music for a dinner because besides being an incredible music, it accompanies very well in everything ! Exactly a month ago today, my mother died in Argentina (I live in the UK) and I did not allow myself to listen to music or smile or anything like that because I thought I was doing it with guilt as I did not deserve to feel good in the face of such a loss, but Moby's music helped me to get out of that darkness and sadness little by little and accompanies this sad moment but seeing it from another perspective and I can't wait for his new work to come out because I think it's going to be great!

Beautiful song then and now Moby well done you.
I was 16 in 2000 and The Beach and its soundtrack had quite an impact on me that year (even though the second half of the film was rubbish). play is a fucking 10/10 album man.
I felt the same about this movie!
Moby is just a wizard. I love his vibes. He inspires entire lifes.
This song makes me want to go back to where I have never been.
So pure and honest.
I think this song is about the death of the selfish ego, and then becoming one with the living Cosmos. It is about this process happening during the breakup of a long relationship. By becoming nothing, you become everything.
that sounds like a psychedelic trip
This takes me back, glorious!
Yes in the most velvet silky smooth kind of way!😊

Thank you Moby. You are not alone.
Love from Turkey Gocek. The best song ever... You dedicated this song to our beautiful country in your concert in Istanbul in 2011. Thank you Moby for every beauty you gave to us ,to our lives.....
I associate this song with my dad, he lives in another country during one visit when I was eight at the time, there was a moby playlist playing in the background and out of many songs I only remembered that one. Unforunately I didn't know the title until many years later when I came across this masterpiece by accident since then I have been listening to it every day.
I was listening to Porcelain as a teen and has stigmatised one of my best memories, when i am listening to it i go back in time and remember those memories... This song makes me think that after the Life we live an Amazing AfterLife awaits for Us.... !! Thnk You MOBY.... !!!
congrats legend... i listen to you since 2001 from my x France girlfriend... you are inspiration, memories and part of my life. thanks.
When the piano starts, it made me cry. Beautiful, I usually hate "remixes" but this work is amazing.
Ich liebe dich,du hast mit deiner Musik meine Kindheit verzaubert,Danke dafür lieber Moby!
This is beautiful
Always been an amazing song. And what a surprise to see Jim James appearing here. I never would have thought. Never. Love it.
I was 20 when this was released, that Moby - Play, was the soundtrack of that summer. Remember working on a fast food restaurant making money for buying a ticket for a music festival with my friends by the sea in Benicassim, Spain. We were young, unstoppable, fearless, happy, innocent, nothing to lose, all green lights, exploring, discovering, the sea, the sun, the beach, love, sex, getting high, more love, living the present, absorbing each second, squeezing life... This songs always take me back to those particular and priceless moments like it was yesterday, I feel it in my guts. Actually, there were some moments in my life it was hard to listen to this song. It's one of those, you know what I mean. Even though I'm happy with my actual living some tears have rolled down my cheeks remembering those days. Thanks Moby for making so beautiful songs and melodies.
In my dreams i’m dying all the time🎶💟
"Porcelain" was always one of the most beautiful songs ever, and this is great too! 💚💜💚
moby thanks for the reprise and for the play but special thanks for the music
