Nicely done Jack, but JJF robbed by the judges again! The only way he loses at Margaret’s is if the judges decide to juice it. That layback was miles better than the air all on its own. .43 difference between the two waves… are you kidding?!?!

Agreed. But he looked rusty in this final. Tricky conditions. Robbo probably surfed better. But Robbo's 8.17 was so gassed up. He bogged rail on both top turns, so I dunno how that could be more than a 7
@@jonathanhalloran5350Robbo really only had that air then the 8.17 that was definitely more like a 7.2 compared to John’s 8.50. Judges gift wrapped this one to Jack.

He has lost Margerets twice in the finals to gimmicky airs. Lame

This was not remotely close. JJF had multiple 4+ maneuver waves and looked like a real pro vs an amateur. Robinson's ONLY 2 "ok" waves was the 2 maneuver one and the air he nosedived. The air he did land had 0 projection and luckily landed him on the soft cushion of the wave (like a floater).
JJF must practice huge airs onto soft landings and do a future Finals with ALL waves busting cheap and incomplete soft padded airs as a way to mock the judges for this contest.

Robo got the best waves but destroyed it. JJ had the heat on him and turned into Tom Brady under pressure.

Jack got out to the lineup first so he got priority if John got out there first he would have priority it’s how it works who gets out there first gets priority anytime in the heat unless there is already someone there
