That relentless pursuit for perfection is why we love you John 👏👏👏
The passionate, but also non-selfcentered way John Hunter speaks about his work in this (and all the other REL-) videos give me goosebumps (I'm an audio professional for 15 years)
Now that is passion and commitment. Hats off.
Great 👍🏾The journey as story was excellently done.
Absolutely loving my pair of S/812’s!!!!
Thankyou John👍😄
What speakers do you have? I’ve been thinking of getting a pair of the 510s. Have you tried the 510s as well?
@@Novilicious I have vintage Infinity Quantum Line Source 2’s driven by PS Audio M1200 mono blocks.
I did not try either of them before I purchased the 812’s. No brick and mortar stores near me. They do offer in home trials.
I've got one T7i
And need another for stereo. Where can i get it in israel?
Thanks allot 💕
Love hearing the stories and getting the audio history lesson! 👍🏼
There’s a story behind every audio company and behind every product. Unfortunately, we don’t hear about them often enough. Being an Audiophile is more than just connecting boxes.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the video!
Rel subs truly are something special. Anyone know what the main monitors in the background are? Not the adams the big soffit mounted ones
The in-wall monitors shown in the background are ATC SCM300-ASL.
Take it from a HUGE REL fan . . . it's the ONLY way to go . . . and they LAST! I have a 15 year old STRATA lll and it's running LIKE NEW and STILL sounds amazing. The new REL's are ALL performers WAY BEYOND their price points. If there was ONE thing I wish REL would do is to calm down a little on the MULTI placement of their logo on their present day subs - it's ALL OVER THE PLACE! It's on the top, it's on the back, on the driver and even on the LEGS! I know they want EVERYONE to know it's a REL but believe me, once a person HEARS a system that includes a REL, they will ASK about what is driving the lower end of the sound in the set up. Example: my STRATA lll has but ONE REL logo imprinted on the amp in the back of the beautiful all wood cabinet. NICE! Subtlety is always in good taste : )
I love all three rel placards keff u don't get a cloth cover whats better u sound jealous
@@grantgranger5294 Huh ????
Cool 👍✌
Please send your subs to Audioholics. They are not fans of high level or running speakers full-range so please pay them a visit. I hope they will sing your praises like I do after they try it.
Shame the HL doesnt really work with Anthem systems.
RFL, please contact then to resolve the problem.
They dont like running full range and LFE at the same time.
Its an either or situation unfortunatly
Unfortunately, we have found that many Anthem AV receivers do not allow you to send a full-range signal to your main loudspeakers and send signal from it's sub-output at the same time. As a result, when listening to surround sound material if you want to send signal from it's sub-out you will need to apply a crossover filter to the main speaker channels. Typically the best option will be to set the crossover on the main speaker channels as low as it will go, which should be 40Hz. While this isn't ideal as far as the REL is concerned, it will still result in some benefit by using the High Level connection, since the subwoofer will still be able to blend with the main loudspeakers above that 40Hz crossover point, and everything below the AVR's crossover point will still be sent to the subwoofer through it's .1/LFE input. Then, when you listen to 2-channel music material you can switch the front speaker channels to full-range, since for music you will not need the receiver's sub-out to be active.
@@RELAcoustics yeah its a shame really.
You guys should work together to sort this out as in my opinion you guys are 2 of the best in this area
Many AVR companies are doing the same thing. Like marantz and denon for instance..
