Glad I found this video. Just in the nick of time. I will be arriving at Sanibel Island tomorrow morning with the family and was looking into which places to go, try and visit. Great content and energy. Love your energy. Thanks Megan
We went to The Island Cow back in 2005 when we came to Sanibel Island. We had such a good time with watching the dolphins off the beach, doing some shopping, doing some shelling and we topped it off by going to The Island Cow for lunch it was so good . They have some great Fried alligator
It is also a very fun place to go, brightly decorated with lots of adorable Nick backs and signs. Everyone was friendly. Great experience, for a family.
So what interesting to hear Melissa’s comments about her restaurant Sweet Melissa’s. Some good pointers about how to best experience her wonderful restaurant. Good tips about other good restaurants on Sanibel.
I had not heard about Sanibel Island until your video. You're incrediblly knowledgable about the best things to do!!! I think I would like the fine dining restaurants, especially Sweet Melissa's and Captive! Btw, did you know cioppino originates from San Francisco? 😁
Norman Love (in the video) is in Fort Meyers. I also really love: www.lighthousewaterfrontrestaurant.com/ in For Meyers. Fresh seafood and a GREAT view!:)
I am going to visit next month. Do you think we will be okay without a car ? Trying to save money and would love if there's enough to do in walking distance
I would STRONGLY recommend a car. I know some people who bike. It would be very difficult to walk from Sanibel to Captiva. Without a car. Know also that the weather will be HOT and the sun strong. I’m sure there IS a way to do Sanibel without a car, especially if you’re in more of an all-inclusive resort such as Sundial or South Seas Plantation, and you plan on staying there. Sanibel is about 33 miles long, so that’s just a lot of walking if you want to explore a lot of the island.
