Wonderful music memory captured in this doc TAKE ME TO THE RIVER www.imdb.com/title/tt3498950/ I look forward to watching the full length version! Docs are SO important, as the can be shared to educate and preserve history! I love music too, I was one of the 3 female percussionist :) in our grammar school band, back home in Chicago area and I learned piano and enjoyed singing jazz and blues inspired by some of these legends before me, showcased in this important doc - thank you all for bringing this to the marketplace!

I really feel today's musicians in this genre just don't have the soul of the earlier generations. Well, Ruthie Foster does. But most of them are just too damn worry about their image and being cool--the OPPOSITE of what drove the masters of roots soul/blues. And that lack is the KISS OF DEATH. You wanna get woke get woke to your own soul, and get off the damn merrygoround and your phones.
