The chorus actually sounds better here than in the original :)
Loved it! 😀
Nice work ! We plan to play it with some friends, your video will help :)
Damn pal, you sound fantastic! Very clear vocals, grand guitar and bass work. Kudos!!!
This is rad! Great chops, too - nice!

great cover bro!!!!
So cool, man! Congratulations!!
gran cover
Nice cover dude!
just love it!!!!
Good job man!
Cool voice!
Thanks!! :)
Sweeet cover dude
tocas y cantas muy bien ,saludos desde España ******
Wow
Good job done fella, you should be doing a PT tribute (i know I would)... 👍👍👍
Thanks! :) I did in fact have a PT/SW tribute band, ruclips.net/user/InnerWilson , but we're not playing anymore, and if you check on my really older videos there's a full band cover of Sound of Muzak ;)
There needs to be a PT cover band. There's more cash to be made in Pink Floyd cover bands but PT is better.
in berlin there is not much cash to be made with covers at all :P
Doesn't Steven usually play a green PRS, except it's a single cut? Sounds really good, man...
RobTackettCovers he used to play mainly an emerald green custom 22 just like mine, except with artist package so gold hardware, but still double cut, now he mostly plays a goldtop single cut I think, but he has a few obviously :P switching them based on tuning... I think he plays the green one for drop and low tunings in general
That's right; it's a gold top...yeah, the keyboardist in this cover band I play in is a real big fan of Steven (especially his live performances) and a few of us went together here in the Portland area...man, such a great show...thanks for replying back!
RobTackettCovers actually I should say that I bought that guitar a few years back BECAUSE it was just like Steven's in the porcupine tree era :P
On this album, he plays mostly a telecaster...
I only got two thumbs, but I give them to you :D
Nice work! Could you share the MIDI of the drums?
NICE! Alex can you share the tab for the solo :D?
Jesus, that's some performance, ripping vocals... 👏👏👏
Very nice man!
Just mix it a bit more, the frequencys are all over the place.
Other than that, great job!
alloyfactory thanks! I'm trying to learn more about mixing but I haven't really progressed much lately... Do you have any suggestions/tips that I could try?
Alex Pedini
Wow, making a good mix mostly requires good ears.
You need to know first how to use the EQ, which frequencies to cut and which to emphasize according to the instrument.
Start there.
But my best advice is too import to your project the original track you are covering (but it must be a high quality file - like from an original CD), and to try to listen, compare and make it as similar as possible.
Scusa ma...sei italiano?
si, di Perugia :) ma vivo a Berlino da qualche anno ormai
Why are you playing electric instruments in an isolation booth?
ehehe, good question... in a few words, I'm LAF :P
Inside the booth I have an Audient ID 14 wired to a Presonus ADAT preamp, all mics are already connected to dedicated channels and I have dedicated channels for electric guitar and electric bass... All is connected to a macbook that sits just outside the box, but it also is always connected. All the recordings are synced with little delay with another computer in another room which I use just for mixing...
So a few reasons for this would be:
* convenience :P as I don't have to change my recording setup when I record "silent" instruments...
* I used to have a roland cube inside the box to do direct monitoring while recording, so in that case I could record electric guitars and bass without headphones, just using the mobile cube at a good volume (so the isolation booth comes in handy)... but I recently took out the cube to lend it to a friend and I still have to put it back in the box... because I'm LAF :P If you check this video: ruclips.net/video/QngOyBqV-Vg/видео.html I was not using headphones with electric instruments because I had the roland as monitor...
* also this way I always place the videocamera in the same place inside the booth, which makes for a "consistent look" in the video, AND I don't have to clean the other room when I shoot videos :P (again LAF :P)
