Amy, respect. I, myself, being Chinese, don't have the courage to eat such food, unless I don't know what I am eating😁😁😁. You are a real foodie...🙏🏻
SAME. I will happily let the non-Chinese try all these "unique" snacks on my behalf. LOL
Me either…😅 used to be in Xiamen, didn’t dare to try …OMG…
ya right, being chinese doesn't you covers/represent other chinese that resides in other region. it is regional delicacy.
Yeah,I admire Amy for her courage😹
same, never heard of it, don't think I will, but good on you Amy
amy, being Filipino Canadian I have a lot of respect for you. these days I lean more towards eating vegan but growing up having people yuck my family's traditional food, I grew up with some shame surrounding it so to see you being so adventurous, respectful, and educating others on Chinese culture & foods that are "weird" in western culture yet traditional to them, is very refreshing & warms my heart in a way. though I prefer not to eat animals myself, I have full support in your ventures & admire the way you go about it all! take care!
Your interaction with the lady regarding marriage and guns was so funny - I wanted to hear more of the conversation. :)
Omg as an American, I diiiied when she asked about guns. As a Chinese American that enjoys watching Chinese variety shows, I can’t say I didn’t see that coming. Even if people don’t necessarily name a country, everyone knows the “foreign country” that have a gun problem is the US Dx
机器人?
你明显就是亚洲人
Could be Sweden too
@@AmelieZh Not really. They’re pretty responsible.
It’s mean American already famous for barbaric attitude worldwide
Wow I had no idea such thing existed in China!! It's eerily similar to the British jellied eel, which is also cut up fish that's been boiled and allowed to set in its own gelatinous soup. Kudos for trying it!!
You're right, I forgot the Brits have jellied eels.... And I like eels... So I would probably try these sandworms... Might be easier if the jelly wasn't so clear😂
@@stouffvillegunggung443 the jellied eels definitely don't scream "eat me", but neither do those sandworms. But i think i can eat it with all the topping and dressing
Hhaa
The fact that the auto captions call Xiamen “Salmon” made me laugh so much 😂 Brilliant video! 👏❤️
8:01 This granny here has got one of the best Maci in Xiamen. So glad you tried it and I'm so nostalgic but I just can't have that ten thousand miles away here in the US😭
Love these videos as usual! Especially the conversation with the lady, as the questions might seem rude to many Westerners but Amy just know that they're normal and the people asking are with good intentions(most of the time ofc). You're becoming a true Chinese Amy!
@6:56 shop lady: "how about marrying a Chinese guy? " 🤣 that was a close one Amy ! Your laugh response was so cute. Shop lady was pretty forward and direct. Then, thinking you were an American with the gun reference. LOL
I admire your adventurous attitude towards food🥲
Growing up in fujian that was one of my fav treats… I’m homesick now
I was super resistant to try 土笋冻 due to its look but somehow seeing you enjoying the food makes me drool lol
wow i love how enthusiastic you are
Seeing you walking around with something savoury in one hand and deliciously sweet in the other is great. Kudos to you and mystery camera person. :D
Amy!! You should try fried sandworms.. they are on another level... It's like eating a chip full of umammi.. so addictive
炒沙虫,下酒菜
I felt like you are way more Chinese than me, Lol, I have never tried to or even dare to take a bite of it
Just found out you're almost 30. Wow, looking at how young and how full of energy you look, not to mention how young and fun your mom and dad look, I can't imagine you're almost 30.
Even I wouldn’t try sandworm jelly (土箏凍), both savory and sweet tastings from the sauce can make the tasting of the jelly even divine.
The thing you had is Xiamen style Mochi. You should try the wenzhou version, which the Japanese one is based off. The names are same thing in Chinese or Japanese. No idea the mandarin word for it.
7:16 A question from the very inside of soul😁
I would love to see Amy's parents reaction when they have the same opportunity to try this.. LOLS..must be fun though. :)
that’s brutal 😂
I don't even know or even want to try this. Amy, you are the best food adventurer! So energetic and enthusiastic and strong too.
Omg you are soo brave for trying this! Soo entertaining to watch :)
That's so cool, thank you for sharing these sandworms with us! 🙆♀️
Love this video!! Thanks Amy. I have been following you for over a year! Your video is always fun!! The juice lady's question is really funny!!
I told you. Amy is brave enough to eat any food in China. 😅😅😅
Thanks for expanding my food knowledge and brightening my day.
Amy, you’re literally the best ❤️
I know for sure that you are gonna try that.
Something about how you describe these foods is soooo appealing. I’d never normally want to try chilli coated worms but gal you got me feeling it!
Another great foodie enlightenment adventure. Thanks Amy
Mad respect. Blondie is a beast!
You are Brave !
Watching Amy’s videos make me wanna go back so badly !
That market looks like it deserves its own series.
my gosh that 油条麻糍 looks just amazing, cant wait to try it myself. good job Amy
Wow you are amazing to try things that are so different. Well done you.
Adventurous eating is how to live life! Being Chinese myself, I'll try anything once - sometimes I just gotta try it with the eyes closed though 😂😂
Love this video, awesome food adventure.
Nice, admire your courage in trying this. 😬 Have you thought about a collab with some Chinese food vloggers?
This video encouraged me to continue studying Chinese, 谢谢!
Hi Amy!🙋🏻♀️ That sandworm jelly🪱🥣 looked so cool! Actually it’s my first time hearing this unique street food!🤩👍🏻 Awesome to see you got to check out the factory and tried a variety of authentic dishes in Xiamen! Wow, you really are exploring the limits! Good for you!
You do a great job showing true China and its people.
LOL! first time I've heard that from a Chinese too... "do you all carry guns"
Hey gal, you said you're nervous, but excited was written all over your face! Respect!
being Xiamenese I didnt like it when I was a kid.. but left hometown for 10+ years it reminds me everything about Xiamen. Welcome to Amoy, and wish you a nice trip there! ☺
土筍凍好食,是我小時候的最愛,而且清熱解毒。標配:蒜蓉、醬油、鎮江醋。
土笋冻 sandworm jelly was the best one of only local snack I love when I was visiting Xiamen 😂
thrrrrrrr
delicious snack indeed. 1 is never enough.
Blondie....we miss you sooo much. Nice to see you back again....! I wish China opens up soon, I am raring to go...👍
Love Xiamen and your sunglasses

Dang, you keep on opening my eyes with more new foods.
wish all aussies in my little grocer were like u (being open to try things of all types including the non-common stuff to them)
You are one adventurous Aussie and crazy eaters.
Would be stoked for daily blondie in China uploads
Oh my gosh I can't believe you actually tried the sandworm!!! I'm also Chinese but have never had it but you totally SOLD it!! Watching you try it does make it seem a little less scary so next time I come across such local "delicacy" I think I'll give it a go as well!!! Can't wait to see you new videos!!! Is Derk gonna join you in the video soon?! I can't wait to see his reaction to the food there!!! cheers!
Looks very similar to jellied eels and I love those
Hooray 🦋
Well when I was little, my family ate this every week as a delicacy and I had no idea they were made of sandworms at the time but YESSS I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM:)
Sandworm in porridge is the bomb!
Looks delicious 💕👍
Thanks!
A so brave girl!
You're very brave Amy... I would eat/try almost anything... Except this! 😂... BTW what animal was the little brains from when you tried brains? We love watching you introduce and try so many different dishes... You're so cheerful and upbeat, makes it a pleasure to follow you😊✌️
Smart. I got very bad diarrhea when I ate this. No medicine could cure it for days. 😫 Everybody react differently. My mom was totally fine.
Usually it's pork brain if you don't specify the animal.
She said pork brain on tiktok
@@Beyondarmonia Thanks

The subtitles crack me up! Tucson dong! Your towel!
i am right nowon the subway back to my house after more than 4 hours of overtime work, thanks for your video which helps me relax and have a moment of joy
I ate this sandworm jelly 土笋冻 during the trip in Xiamen and i think its taste good, just like the taste of clams.
i love u🥺
Didn't dare to eat 土笋冻 when i was a kid, got to try it when i am an adult and it is amazing, especially together with the sauces!
so.. REFRESHING! 😂 Haha Amy you are such a true hearted person
my respect! I would never try this in my life
I love the mochi
Blondie has got a video man
love that Aiyi
Glad you like the sandworm jelly! I grew up in Xiamen, Tusundong and the mochi with black sesame are my favorites!! Definitely not for everyone though, even some of my friends in Xiamen don't dare to eat Tusundong 😂
Ooh those sandworms gave me the creeps! 🤣🤣🤣 But that 油条 was next level 😍😍😍
❤️So interesting and amazing 😻
Amy, 沙虫算是一种人工养殖的海鲜,在湛江广泛饲养并且很受欢迎,我们通常做白灼沙虫或者煲汤。
That's so nice! As a Chinese I've never been to Xiamen, this beautiful city near the coast. Hope you can have a pleasant journey!
By the way, are you still in Xiamen? I mean, the situation near the southeast mainland China and Taiwan has been deteriorating rapidly. Military conflict is likely to happen in the next few days (even several hours later) So the safety is important. Remember to take care.
Love& Peace.
Hi Amy. Are you still in Xiamen? I recommend you to try some “烧酒档” (A bit like the Xiamen version of izakaya). Here you can taste a lot of Hokkien-style food. I can give you some recommendations if you need.😆
Maybe I'm not as adventurous as I previously thought 🤔
you should try 花生卷冰淇淋 it's amazing!!
Sounds amazing!
Welcome to Xiamen, I'm also in Xiamen from Foshan of Guangdong in June
艾米,你真的很棒,太喜欢你的视频了!你的微博 抖音 我都全部关注米啦,加油
Haha. the lady vendor was funny, its my first time to hear that question about the gun.
I have heard sandworm is very delicious from my colleague who comes from Beihai Guangxi, and I look forward to try it
Cant wait till i can get a job in a Sandworm factory 😆
Right? You can snack on them while working!
You are very brave in trying any food which are not known for normal food. I won't dare to try them.
Stir fried dried sand worms is a great snack served with beer! You gotta try it.
