Forget the tablet, they needed to add a stylus to the pixel fold lol
YES. That’s the only reason I didn’t buy one 😂
YES!
I've had an used my pixel tablet since launch day last year I love it and use it docked daily it's a fantastic device imo
Your video made me super excited Shane! The Pixel Tablet is pretty sweet!!! And I would love to get a Keyboard and Stylus for mine.
Way too expensive even with the flash discounts in the UK. It was never going to sell well at £599. Worth about £350 with the dock included IMHO.
I would love if Samsung did a good dock for it's premium tablets.
It doesn't sound very intentional. They should have launched it with accessories in the first place. More like the Pixel Tablet had one foot in the grave and they decided to take one step back for now.
Sadness. Even their Pixelbook was a really good piece of tech that they abandoned. Hopefully we'll see a second model for both of these. I'll still be sitting here lamenting Surface Duo and Neo.
I have and use my Pixel Tablet. I'm going back to school later this year and have actually been planning to get a USI2 stylus to go with the tablet so I can use it for note-taking.
just upgraded to the pixel 9 pro fold and you should talk about different tablets how well they work with each phone because i’m lost rn haha
We rarely used the speaker dock... Only to charge it... Sound is muffled with dock in my home placement
With foldable phones becoming more capable. It makes sense to focus on tablet form factors, if developers start making those apps better again it also benefits the apps running on foldable smartphone devices.
Great blog sir keep them coming very useful 😊
I like the Pixel tablet BUT.. People say, well, I don't need the Pixel tablet to replace my Nest Hub Max. Those people are wrong. A better dock that's able to do something without the tablet on it is a must. My Pixel tablet doesn't get a lot of use because the outlet I selected for it is in the basement. Things would be different in a perfect world where I have unlimited AC wall outlets. I know I'm not the best person to explain why the dock has been a disappointment. Still, there are many different ways they could improve the dock. Eventually for everyone, there's only so many outlets and so many power strips.
Selling it without the speaker dock is definitely a good ideal. If you want the dock you can get it later separately.
I've had the tablet since launch and would take the dock over the stylus and keyboard any day. When I had a samsung note I never used the stylus and I have several laptops (no need to formally type anything on a tablet). My tablet is docked on my desk next to my monitor. I use it as a second device for music, video, web browsing, texting, video calling and ect while I'm working on my computer. I don't use the hub features at all. I'd just like to have a upgraded dock I could buy separate that has more base and better sound quality (the original is plenty loud). Converting the hub max's speaker to a dock would be fine.
Also 120 hz refress rate
I was able to buy a used Google Pixel Tablet for $257 on eBay and I am happy with the stand charging port if they released a pencil and a keyboard I would totally buy it
I sold my Pixel Tablet and picked up the Tab S9 at a great price - no regrets!
If my phone was a Samsung, I'd probably have done the same. I feel more comfortable with a Pixel phone but I think I would love Samsung's Dex. There's also parts of Apple's ecosystem I like but unfortunately the mix and match never works out for me. I can't stand the iPhone. I could maybe switch to a Samsung Galaxy phone at some point yrs from now. My problem with Samsung is I felt like the phone had too many choices in settings and so I felt like the ease of use could be better.
Anyone know when Google are likely to release a damn keyboard?!
It feels like Google released this just so they could say they have the complete "ecosystem".
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad device... I just think if Google tries to market this for productivity they will be laughed out of the room
Google pricing is gross. It does measure up to the competition. And the keep going half-ass'd with the hardware.
I would love a tablet and dock setup. 1. I don't trust Google and it's support 2. I'd rather have the setup with a mid/high end tier tablet. I carry an iPad mini with me that is not the best screen but it just runs.
if they can get the tablet alone close to $300 I would likely buy it as my Galaxy Tab S3 is so slow now, but I just find tablets too limited use to really want to spend much money and while cool I really don't need the dock so I just keep dealing with the slowness when I do use my tablet, or I guess now more often than not just use my Pixel Fold instead of the tablet, though for media consumption that's where the Pixel Fold's aspect ratio is not good and I would rather a tablet with a 16:10 ratio panel.
A tablet in a dock is great for me. Just take it out when you want to use it. Kind of like a nintendo switch. But it's simpy too expensive for me.
With the tensor G2 😅😂
Relaunch? A 2-in-1 tablet just not going to work. Google should separate the tablet from the smart display in the first place...
$100 per item is way too much money!
Google could be the leader and outdo Samsung if they tried harder!
RUclips Music podcasts great for my Google nest hub max 💯
So the Pixel Slate? 🤔
