being a Chinese and a lesbian watching this movie it is so relative to me and I believe a lot of Chinese lesbians. Alot of things happen in there I have experience myfelf. Even without the lesbian part how the parent reacts to your personal life and marriage as well as people who are not your family talking rumor about you it just so true. Things like this always happen and with the year 2020 it still goes on in some places. It such a great movie with great potential and this kind of movie is what we need.

Saw Saving Face last September and 3 more times after that, loved the movie. I remember Lynn Chen from Lake Terrance movie and I first saw Michelle Kruseic in Dulex and again in 2008 movie What Happens in Vegas. The plot for Saving Face 2 should take place in 2019. It should be about be about Wil and Vivian dealing with their own kids and also helping Wil's mom's daughter go though life. Hope a sequel gets made...soon!
I liked the movie; it was funny how I came about watching it. However, I thought the writer/director, Alice Wu, had a promising career ahead of her but she only made one movie. What a movie! I hope she makes more but if she is one and done, so be it. She told a wonderful story.
Well, fifteen years later she came back with another movie. It took a lot of time but it's out. You should take a look, it's called The Half of it, in Netflix. And it's soooooo good
@@taylorhill195 YES! Unfortunately I think it won't have a sequel just like Saving face. She doesn't seem to like sequels. But I have a feeling that Half of it has an opened end, you know what I mean?(english isn't my first language, sorry) So maybe we will have it.

What the point of having reunion when the show is so long ago, and no active production of any related shows to the original, sequal or prequal. No legacy created here, cause it just one time. Whats the point. But yeah i'd love to see them all again.
I absolutely believe this needs a sequel. It's definitely in my top 5 movies of all time.

when i saw michelle talking she looks like smart lady,cool and calm person. her personality like in her movie.. good director to choose her
