Ces 7 mn pour faire taire toutes ces vilaines langues qui voudraient faire croire que la flamme du grand Scholl vacillait. Poignant, pénétrant, soigné et pieux au possible...Serviteur absolu du plus grand des Kantor. Desservi par une acoustique des plus hasardeuse et une prise de son assez cahotique.
Scholl's expressive power and musicality, his way with words, are still to be treasured.

How you could know, that farinelli was better? Nobody has ever heard farinelli sing. By the way you can't compare an altus with a castrat.
@@evelinepeterhans4873 Yeah, if anything, he should be compared to Nicolini or Senesino. But I agree, he truly has a beautiful voice.
@@casperl.3891 no, you can't compare andreas scholl with either of the two singers either. Because you have never heard either of them and they were both castrati. Comparing a countertenor with a castrato would be like comparing apples with tomatoes.

@@casperl.3891 no, their voice types are not similar. Castrates sang high because they had small children's larynxes and because they had full-grown male bodies in adulthood, they had enormous air volume. That is why they could sing the longest coloraturas effortlessly. However, a countertenor sings high because he needs a different singing technique than, for examples, a tenor or bass. Tenors, basses etc. Sing mainly in the chest voice. Countertenors, however, sing mainly in the head voice, as woman do.
Scholl finde ich nicht toll. Eher schrecklich.

Das kann ich absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Andreas scholl hat eine wunderbare stimme, gepaart mit einer wohl grossartigen ausbildung und obendrein ist er kaum anders zu beschreiben als als musikalisches genie. Wenn man ihn hört, ist das, wie wenn er mit einem bein auf der erde wäre und mit dem anderen im himmel stände, als ob er die musik vom himmel eingespiesen bekäme. Ist es wirklich möglich, dass es leute gibt, die das nicht hören können??????????????

Nicht dafür, gerne. Mir scheint der Phillippe Jaroussky ein interessanterer countertenor zu sein.
To state that Jarousky is more interesting seems not quite the same as stating that Schõll is terrible.
