Vailocity Bike Park! Ridin' DH - Big Dawgs, Vail Lake Jumpline & 4114

- Vailocity is a pedal up bike park on the east side of Temecula, CA. There's fireroads and singletrack for climbers. The climb up is pretty easy and doesn't take long for how much riding you get on the down.
Big Dawgs is a brand new jumpline that we luckily found right away. Since it's brand new it wasn't on trailforks yet so we were stoked that we went right up to it. They just have a top section built and looks like it'll eventually keep going, possibly into the Vail Lake Jumpline. It's fun and fast but I wouldn't say the jumps are big dawgs or a double black trail. They definitely have the land for some big dawgs so maybe should've saved the name and build another jumpline with some actually big jumps. Sick line though and should be pretty cool once it goes all the way down.
The Vail Lake Jumpline is pretty weird and tiring. Jumps are cool so it's fun but could built a lot better. The draw it's on is only about 3% so really gotta pump and throw some pedals in. Some jumps are easy to over shoot and some were really hard to make. With some more rollers in lulls and getting the jumps spaced correctly it could all flow. The lips all had pretty nice transition though.
We also road 4114 (a double black) which was sick! Love me some raw and rocky tech! There were sections that were pretty rutted out which made it a little sketch but it's a tech trails so whatever. Had a lot of fun of that one.
Would've been cool to have more time there to explore more trails, there's a lot there. Cool place for sure and definitely suggest you go there if you're in the area.

That jump trail on the ridge line looks sweet but I bet it gets a little dicey in the wind.

SoCal trails look amazing, I’ve seen a lot of trail footage in that region on the Tommy Huynh/Twrex MTB channel! Not a bad place to escape the winter and shake off the rust. Vailocity looks like a lot of fun, but as you said gotta nail the pumping and pedaling to carry the speed throughout.
Yeah it’s super fun there for sure. I was so gassed on that bottom jumpline haha. I was also out of shape though. Lots more trails there that we didn’t get the chance to hit. Plenty to ride 🤙🏻
Yea dude, Looks pretty warm from where I’m sitting. Trails like that take a bit to dial in, didn’t seem super consistent or intuitive, mellow grade requiring a lot of peddle strokes. Still though, I’d take right about now.
Big Dawgs was pretty intuitive. But that bottom one was so damn tiring haha. Can’t complain about the weather there for sure

Those jumps are tricky, not really hard they are just weird the first couple times you ride them lol.

How does 4114 compare to trails like Matco and OG?
man it all looks so flat! gopro effect is real on this one. I think because you can see all the way down the hill and because there aren't trees to show what vertical is.
