Susan, I'd like to publicly say how brilliant you are and to thank you so much. I am in Recallers, but what I learned there and with the podcast was not just dog training or the amazing games, I learned how to bring happiness to my dogs in training, in playing and in life.
My very fearful dog-reactive girl wouldn’t play with me outside, wouldn’t listen to me and wasn’t motivated to do things. But now she loves to play with her ball, engages and plays with me in many environments, she wags her tail so much, loves to train and is happier than ever. I even shed a tear today while she was excited playing with me in the park seeing how much progress we made. You, Susan, changed my mindset and made me believe I am capable of teaching my dogs with kindness and happiness and, most important, of having an amazing relationship with them based on respect and patience. We all thank you so much and send you hugs all the way from Brazil!

Hey dogs that team, I’m a dog groomer so I listen to the podcast all day everyday while working.
I’m a long time recallers, H360 and agility nation student
I did recallers back in 2012 I think they continued to the others. I also saw LOH way back when she came to Australia 🇦🇺 and also saw Susan when in QLD in 2016. Sick with me the back story was important lol.
Anyway safe to say I love Susan’s programs and have done my best to follow them and have had amazing results and success👌
But I think I’ve maybe if possible got more from these podcasts. Listing to them even though I didn’t think I was. I was still what Susan calls a balanced trainer since listening to the podcasts I’ve really tried hard to change that!
And well tonight I saw a glimmer of hope!
My oldest dog hype 7 yr old border collie has unfortunately a lot of baggage due to my balanced training and most of the time when I’m training my other 2 border collies Boost ( 4) and Arctic (18mths) hype is hiding under the bed in a another room to avoid my frustrations when training. Even if I try and call him out and give really good cookies he always says no thanks just train the other 2 I’m fine. Thanks anyway lol
After listening to the podcasts especially on mindset and belief loops, labels and that our dogs are doing the best they can with the education we have given them in the environment we put them in really turn my mind around
So tonight I was training my younger 2 and I see hypes little head peak around the corner and say um excuse me mum um would it be ok if I have a turn? I tell u I almost cried! I was soooo happy. He came out and trained and even more ENJOYED it.
So I just wanted u to know what an impact ur podcast make 😍
On a side note I listen to the about when LOH was making the transition to all positive and froze well that’s me sometimes now
I don’t wanna go back to balanced wad but my youngest is making it very hard! She barks at everything and I think I’m making it worse coz I don’t know what to do. Normally u would say no and tell them off. But in trying not to do that I’m just not doing anything. She barks when she wants something she barks at other dogs playing it seems like she gets over excited or frustrated and barks and continues to bark I know there are some podcasts on this and I trying my best but it seems to be getting worse.
Anyway I still wanna say thanks again u guys rock

On the 200th live episode stream you asked us to list our favorite podcast of all 200 so far. Boy was that a tough choice, I really send these podcasts to all my own students, and even people with no dogs who can take lessons from the episode anyways for work, spouse, or children relationships. If this episode was out earlier then it would not have been such a tough choice. We’ll maybe. Loved the story, cried good tears, loved how you tied it all together gracefully and the graphics alongside. Beautiful work. You never cease to surprise me. I suppose that must be how your own dogs feel. “Negative prediction errors” all the time if I got it right? Love you and your team to pieces

I've spent the last few years trying to unlearn my bad human behaviors and coping mechanisms. When I got my pup in September, I had no idea that trying to be the best dog mom I could be would bring me to Susan Garrett, who would in turn teach me so much about being a better human. Is my dog well trained, probably not. We have our moments 😂 is it her fault? Definitely not. I'm the inconsistent one if I'm being completely honest. This is probably one of the most powerful videos/podcasts I've come across in the last 9 months and was so impactful I've watched it three times in the last 9 hours since it came out and I may have cried twice. Not like I'm sad, but it feels like a breath of fresh air. My girl and I will get to where I can do all the wow fun things with her and not have to worry about that dog choices or poor human expectations. Thank you Susan and your team, you are helping in ways you may not even know 💕🥹

How can one podcast make me cry, laugh and have deep thoughts all at once? Since listening to it I have been trying to give grace in all parts of my life. It is not easy, sometimes I forget, sometimes I get abscessed with I mistake I made while walking my dog. I know better, I should do better! I can forgive my dog anything, I can give grace to the lady struggling to take my order at the drive through, but for my self? That's the hard one for me.

This wasn't at all what I thought it would be. My instant response to the thumb nail was "well, pick the thing that bothers you or the dog the most, and work on that". Instant improvement in the dog's and your own life. No matter how big the total package of problems is, just working on one or two gives a feeling of progress and reduces the pressure. Itsyerchoice has really helped my amped up working dog be less hyper so our daily training session goes more smoothly. Last night was the 4th of July and both my dogs were not happy; I already know they don't like thunderstorm season, so that appears to be a thing we need to work on now...I try to treat problems as diagnostic of what needs work. Do other people do this?

My last dogs best friend really did go to a farm. He's doing well, his former owner saw him recently. He was reactive to all the people walking by the house and as our neighborhood became a popular walking destination more and more people walked by and he got more and more anxious and reactive. He's much better well adjusted out with no one else around on a farm. I always feel like it sounds like a fairy tale lol. It's not impossible to train it out but it was just more work than they could do with kids and a husband with ALS and so many chances to practice the reactivity. I'm glad he got put in a better situation for him but I definitely know it's a rarity that it turns out like that.
