I have always just used DJI default setting but I want to step up my drone pictures and videos.. what program do you use the luts in ? thanks.. sorry I have zero knowledge in editing
The default settings are still good, but a few tweaks can give you a little more to work with. Like shooting in DCine-like. I use Davinci Resolve. It’s the best editor I’ve used for color grading. And they have a free version.
Clicking “alt” “S” is the shortcut that gives you a new serial node - which is what I did here, and is why you didn’t see me click anything. The other option would be to “right click” in the node area, and select “new serial node” from the drop down.
Thank you so much for the color grading demo and LUT. One thing I found by trial and error is that I could only use 4K H265 in MOV container from DJI mini 3 pro 10-bit D-Cinelike. DaVinci Resolve refuses to import D-Cinelike 4K H264 or MP4 containers. Can you confirm your source video format?
so true, I shot fireworks in the night on d-cinelike, MP4, and hadn't switched to H.265 and I wasn't able to import it on Davinci Lite. I figured that it's best to transcode the file into an intermediate codec like prores and used shotcut to do that (i already had it installed so) this made my editing smoother because of lesser compression and also made it compatible with davinci, retaining the 10 bit color quality. I've made sure to use H.265 by default then on with d-cinelike. Still would work on prores while editing, over H.265 though. This issue seems to primarily be on windows versions and works fine on mac. mov is better for mac and mp4 is good for windows. the containers aren't the issue here. it was the codec that caused the issue.
Hi thanks a lot for the lut. However I noticed a lot of "banding" in the sky. Usually this happens when I try to push 8bit files but the one i tried to use it in is a 10 bit D-Cinelike.
Very interesting video mate 👍 Thank you so much for the video 👍
Thanks for the conversion lut! great way to start editing footage and save time, only light adjustments, maybe some color grading and it's good to go!
Thanks for the comment! 🙌🏼
thank you so much
Nice video....link to conversion LUT is no good....
Hey, sorry about that. I changed web hosts and I have some links not working correctly. I believe it’s fixed now, check it again. Thank you!
i really liked the free Lut so much that i end up buying your mini 3 pro lut pack. thank you!
Thank you! I appreciate the support.
I learned so much and just watched 2 minutes :-)
I hope you go back and watch the rest 😂
10 bit vs 8 bit difference is huge. i shot one footage with normal profile today and was almost puke when tried to manipulate it at resolve.
Wht a video man, i just wanna a bit of your talent 🥹
That’s really nice. Thank you!
Thank you for your nice and clear tutorial and the free LUTs !! 🙏
Thank you! Hope they help.
Very useful!
Awesome! I appreciate it!

@@BoGaines at 07:47 you add a second node but how do you do this?

Tried the free LUT works great!
Sweet! Thanks for sharing.
When I clicked the link for the Free LUT, it came up as $17.99? Are there any free LUTS? Loved the video btw
If you click the first link in the video description: “Free conversion LUT” then click the first button on that screen “download”.

Sometimes if saturation is high, even 10-bit color will band a little. There are so many shades in the gradient of the sky.
@@BoGaines thanks a lot for the reply. I'll keep an eye on the saturation.
Could you send me the original file and let me see if I have the same issue?
Sorry but I also get bad banding issue in blue sky....unusable for me sorry.
Downloading LUT is not working.
Let me check on it, I haven’t had any issues with it so far.
+1
