Happy 10th Anniversary to OpenRCT2! 🍰
EDIT: I contributed the Loopy Landscapes scenario difficulty changes and assisted with the Wacky Worlds difficulty rearrangement. Time Twister rearrangement pending!
I always like it when you do these informative videos! And a happy Anniversary to OpenRCT2, the devteam and the community! 🎉
You're welcome! These monthly releases help me keep them short :)
Thanks for visualizing these updates ingame 🥰
These are literally all things I have asked for the past week. Walls through slopes is a very welcome change
The Hybrid/Wooden fix was a bug discovered by me and got it fixed
Nice!
@@Deurklink I should clarify that he discovered it, made the bug report and tested the fix. I made the actual fix ;-)
Good job gymnasiast!
I've been ignorant about the secondary viewport, but it sounds like it would have been annoying. It's gonna be a game changer for support placement/alignment between different angles!
It's a feature that is easy to miss!
7:45 Probably 32,768 was the cap (assuming it was stored as a signed int16, and that's the highest value it would be able to hold). So my guess is they either made it an unsigned int16 (since conceivably there should never be a point where you have negative guests) or a larger int.
32,767, to be precise. Signed 16-bit integers can represent values from -32,768 to +32,767.
The value that saved this limit was already an unsigned 16-bit integer, but the value used for drawing the checkbox value was not. We changed that to a signed 32-bit integer, as it needs to represent a lot of different things, some of which _can_ be negative.
@@gymnasiast90 Right, 32,768 would be the point it would have flipped. Forgot how signed ints worked at max
The walls through slopes and support pieces are huge imporovements! The half support would have come in handy many times!
Fully agree!
2:12 Finally! I can build stuff under wooden supports without making the supports look ugly thanks to those new wall pieces :D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OpenRCT2 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 viewport rotate should keep the section of the map you are viewing in view.
It does! You can see in the video it rotates around the ground level that is in view. It doesn't rotate around the tower because it is very tall and very high above the ground. It works the same as how it normally works when you rotate the view.
Hey everyone
Hi squares4u!
Build through slope would have been nice for my last build. I made a Shire/Bree inspired park and the hill buildings were a pain in the ass cus I HAD to raise and lower every piece individually get to them appear as if built into the hill
Damn I misread the title and thought it said "Addictions" like people could get hooked on rides lol.
On a side note- you’re almost at 15K subs man, any plans to celebrate?
I didn't have any plans, but there may be some livestreams soon!
Deurklink, you should’ve just played the Monty Python clip that the name came from, literally all of the version names are from Flying Circus or one of the movies
I will consider it for the next one
installed update - new wooden support pieces and the flipped post still not showing available in object selection menu 😥
Have you set the filter for OpenRCT2-official objects?
@@Deurklink bingo, was set but still had to manually select those items, thanks
I installed this update and now I get the error that my version of windows isn't supported by openrct2. I'm on windows 10.
I recommend showing the specific error you get on the OpenRCT2 discord. The developers should be able to help you out with it! Also, make sure to install the correct game version for your operating system!
I can't believe they removed the legacy footpaths as well as custom made food/beverage/shops and roller coasters...What the freak.
Are you sure those were removed?
@@Deurklink I think they are, it might be on my end or something, I don't know.
@@SuperFlashDriver it sounds to me like you didn't enable Custom in the filter in your object selection.
@@Deurklink The weird part is that ALL of the filters, when selecting object selection in the cheats menu, unfortunately doesn't appear. So I'm not quite sure what the issue is.
I recommend you make a screenshot and ask your question on the OpenRCT2 discord. Also, make sure the filter for "Selected Only" is off.
Alright
These are weird names for these updates 💀
They’re all Monty Python references. This particular one is a quite obscure sketch for season 4, episode 3. We needed something that referenced our birthday.

Totally smegmal dude
