Thanks Tom, your video has given me food for thought as I'm looking to buy my first 3d printer, the P1P definitely looks like a contender but I'll check your other videos also
Thanks for the video, really appreciate the video. I'm also getting the issues with the pull back on the AMS. Still no solution. Bambu didn't send me replacements. Only issue I've had.. otherwise an incredible printer. Absolutely incredible.
I love my P1P/AMS setup - I was/am a new 3D printer user and this was my 1st 3D printer. I'm still very happy with my decision to go with Bamboo Labs. Great video.
With the P1P costing only $599 now. I just don't think any printer on the market can beat it at that price while being feature rich. I love my X1C. No issues with it yet and I'm at close to 700 hours now.

Just ordered the P1P for myself yesterday, your vid comes in pretty handy right now. Keep up the good work! Edit: Gerade gecheckt dass du aus DE bist, umso mehr freut mich dein Video! Grüße aus Mittelfranken ;)
I own a X1C with AMS since March. Made nearly 100 successful prints. I’m so happy with it, but was curious of what you had to say. You made a super review, touching on all the important points, and obviously based upon a lot of use. Thank you. I’m subscribing for more!
Great Video!!! I'm looking at purchasing a second printer I'm torn between the P1P and the X1 carbon. Your video is very helpful. I like your presentation style and your personal experience with this printer.
Thank you a lot for your feedback Paul!👏 Well if you dont need the few things the X1 has like the screen, chamber fan and...lidar (😅) you can safe around 3/4 of an AMS unit with the P1P -when its upgraded! :) I will get a second P1P i think😅 Thanks a LOT again :)
LOTS of great information here! Thank you! I publish a magazine for a local non-profit that assists the blind & visually impaired. I myself am legally blind and hope one day to obtain a P1P to write an article on how well a person with vision issues might be able to enjoy this machine and the 3D printing hobby! ✌🏻Jerry
Tom, I really enjoyed the video. As someone who got an X1C on the Kickstarter, it was fascinating to watch you do all the customization and the upgrades to add a lot of the functionality they stripped out in making the P1P. A lot of other RUclips content creators talk about what can be added, it was very interesting to actually see it happen step-by-step! I am curious how uch you spent on all the upgrades, and whether it was still less-expensive than just going with the X1C to begin with? Once again, great job!
Thank you very much Peter! Esp as a "small" guy in here compared to others its hard to make content thats valueable esp since i am not an editing or filming nor speaking-professional haha😅... That music-intro for example took me ages🤯 I am rly happy that you like my video!😊 I will upload a youtube shorts soon regarding that question but yeah. Its still def. cheaper :)
This was so rad! The camera angles and details about where things are and tips were really great. This video will be super helpful for any bambu owner for their maintenance and part replacements regardless if they upgrade their printers or not. I'm so excited to get my printer. I think I'm going for the X1 Carbon with AMS because i know i plan to print with ABS and CF and other fancy filaments right away... But man this P1P upgrade was so cool and helpful. Subbed for sure
Thank you a LOT for your feedback Benny! :) Super glad the work "payed off" qualitywise 😊 Yeah changing the AUX-Fan, extruder and hotend for example work 100% the same for X1Cs :) I get that point. You can still print abs and asa-cf for example without any issues but having a chamber temp controll might be the "safer" or easier bet :)
@@tombeardy4833 i may still go with the p1p and add some upgrades like you did. Just nice with the x1c already built. If i do the p1p i might try an enclosure on printable and use polycarbonate for the sides and door, then get x1c glass roof. Lots of good options in your video
Very informative video. You have given me a lot to think about. Was just going to get the x1 carbon but i really like the idea of customizing my own machine as well.
Its pretty great! Biofusion akd standard geeentec might struggle on super fragile things but otherwise they work great. The PLA, PETG, TPU and ASA lines for example are massively used in our german groups and are pretty beloved :-)
Thanks for all the effort you put into this video. Since I have no printer yet, the P1P is on the top of my my list. Only the print size is holding me back at the moment. Your video helped a lot! Now I have to see what the "up to date" status is, since ordering a lot of extra from the beginning makes sense to me. As long as they are not already included now :D Have a nice day!

Don’t underestimate the LiDAR in the X1C! If you’re printing in different materials from different manufacturers, it will really help you get it right on the first go 🙌
Well surely it helps for a more or less good PA-value (except transparent or black filaments and so on) but then also just at the first layer :/ Firstlayers are squished - thats why for a PERFECT value, you need to look at it at a few layer high object without toplayers :) But youre right! Mostly it can save a bit time or save some "work"😊 But each PA-test will take like... 5-7 minutes which you have to do one each roll maximum :) For me (subjective take)....i rly dont miss it, esp for the price :) Plus its weight at the toolhead haha🤣
This is probably the best review of the P1P I have seen. It certainly tends to sway me away from the X1C. Although I'm still using a Ender 3 S1 Pro I picked up for $270, the amazing speed of the Bamboo series is compelling. A Delta might be better for speed but the color change system is another big plus. Still undecided, only room for one more printer. Thanks for a great video.
Very well done, I agree we need to see your cost worksheet. I thought the X1 had a larger volume too. I also thought the LIDAR was cool tech I have struggled with some 1st layer issues on my CR 10S Pro. I need to consider the screen too as i am much older I enjoy a larger screen. old eyes. Also it would open me up to use more specialized materials for my Model Train parts. Well done, see you again. Dennis
Hey Dennis! Thanks a lot! First layer issues arent a thing with the P1P either :) To be honest you dont rly use the screen, at least i only do for stopping a print if something goes wrong and i dont have the time to use my app or laptop :) But everyone is different :) The costs are EU based €801 for the printer and roundabout €215 for the Upgrades. So considering the X1C is at 1349 you just need €100 and can already get the AMS in that price :) Thanks a lot!😊

@@tombeardy4833 Probably the P1S with the AMS.
Thanks for the video, seems I will go for a P1P after all - really nice overview on upgrades etc.
Hallo,
Tolles Video! Hab mir jetzt schon sehr viele Videos angeschaut und muss sagen das ich mir den Drucker auch bald holen werde!! :)
My P1P will arrive in a month... I am very excited
Just ordered the P1P for myself yesterday, your vid comes in pretty handy right now. Keep up the good work!
Mine just arrived !! Can’t wait to setup !
Awesome! Let me know how it works :)
I own a X1C with AMS since March. Made nearly 100 successful prints. I’m so happy with it, but was curious of what you had to say. You made a super review, touching on all the important points, and obviously based upon a lot of use. Thank you. I’m subscribing for more!
Thanks a LOT for your feedback! :) Hope you enjoy your machine! ;)
Thx for video! Actually learned something new about my p1p 😂
We never know everythint haha Glad i was able to provide some "watching-value"!😊
Great Video!!! I'm looking at purchasing a second printer I'm torn between the P1P and the X1 carbon. Your video is very helpful. I like your presentation style and your personal experience with this printer.
Thank you a lot for your feedback Paul!👏
Well if you dont need the few things the X1 has like the screen, chamber fan and...lidar (😅) you can safe around 3/4 of an AMS unit with the P1P -when its upgraded! :) I will get a second P1P i think😅
Thanks a LOT again :)
Great video. This is definitely going to be my next printer. I'm tired of having to work on my printer before I can start printing.
Thanks Jamie! Yeah thats a huge plus. Also beeing able to monitor your print whereever you are (able since the last update) is quiet handy aswell!
LOTS of great information here! Thank you! I publish a magazine for a local non-profit that assists the blind & visually impaired. I myself am legally blind and hope one day to obtain a P1P to write an article on how well a person with vision issues might be able to enjoy this machine and the 3D printing hobby!
✌🏻Jerry
Hey Jerry! Thank you for coming by! Oh wow that sounds SUPER interesting!
Would be awesome to hear from that story :)
Best wishes!
That music-intro for example took me ages🤯 I am rly happy that you like my video!😊
I will upload a youtube shorts soon regarding that question but yeah. Its still def. cheaper :)
@@tombeardy4833 Thanks, Tom. Just keep at it and your channel will grow no doubts. I look forward to watching that happen!
:) Super glad the work "payed off" qualitywise 😊
Yeah changing the AUX-Fan, extruder and hotend for example work 100% the same for X1Cs :)
I get that point.
Nice to hear rumors of qc on the heatbeds and making sure they’re level
12:20 Those are some final boss level tunes!
Now hearing about P1S so gonna wait and see what that is priced at and what comes with it. 👍
Yeah i am excited too! Maybe a fully upgrades, enclosed and AMS containing set would be my guess :)
im looking to get a bambuu lab soon and enjoyed the video.
Thank you! Which version will you get? :)
@@tombeardy4833 I think I'll go with the P1P as I only work with PLA and I prefer the bare bone design of the P1P
Thanks for the video. I'm new to this and trying to decide which printer to buy.
Thanks for beeing here! which ones are on your list atm :)
Very informative video. You have given me a lot to think about. Was just going to get the x1 carbon but i really like the idea of customizing my own machine as well.
Great video! I just received my new P1P!
Thanks a lot! Oh thats great! Any upgrades in mind? The full upgrade to P1S will also be uploaded "soon" :)
This was perfect and help me making the choice between the X1C and the P1P
Which one did you get? :)
@@tombeardy4833I'm saving for the X1C!
Liam from New Zealand here love your content too quility !!!!
Thanks a lot Liam✌️ Glad you like it!
Thanks for the video. Its really indepth like the one about the kobra max. !
Nice video Very useful information. Going to try the filament.
Its pretty great! Biofusion akd standard geeentec might struggle on super fragile things but otherwise they work great. The PLA, PETG, TPU and ASA lines for example are massively used in our german groups and are pretty beloved :-)
Great video. I love 3d printer upgrades.
Thank you! Yeah me too😄
Hello Tom, From Brazil and love your videos. My first 3d print is ender 3 and now buy P1P. Thnk!
Thank you VERY much! Happy with the ender still? :)
As long as they are not already included now :D
Have a nice day!
Thanks a lot for your comment justus!✌️
Yeah now the P1S is about to be released which will also be a nice version of it.
True! If you need any infos or have questions let me know!
And yeah... a like 300x300 or maybe even bigger one would be a dream😅
If theres any new i will shoot out a video asap soooo...subscribing helps😜
Thanks a lot - have a great day yourseld as well!
@@tombeardy4833 Thanks for pointing out the P1S. Any glitch on a release date or further intel you could share? = Worth the wait? So far I didn't find further detail about it. Maybe some clickbait who has already a model for review, but can't share details yet...
I will also search for a personal contact, since I've seen you also do all this in my mother thoung german :D
Enjoy the heat!
Fantastic video!! I'm a huge Zelda fan as well, and I'm looking to get into 3D printing!!
Awesome to meet another Hylian! :) And thanks for coming by! Any decision yet on the printer? :) I will also get a sweet video tomorrow about current discounts so maaaaaybe consider subscribing so you wont miss out☺️
Already subbed!! And I'm not too sure on which printer ... A lot of people are raving about the Bambuu p1p, but I'll need to save up a bit for it.
Have a p1p coming, super stoked!
Oh great! I bet you wont regret :)
@@tombeardy4833 can't wait!
Thanks for the great summary.
Fantastic review !
Thank you very much!
Great video! You're explaining it very well, thank you!
Thanks a lot!🤗
Cooles Video! Ich freue mich schon auf meinen eigenen P1P 🤗
Vielen Dank! Bei den neuen Preisen schon zugeschlagen? :)
Very informative, thank you!
Thanks a lot! :)
Great review. Appreciate it very much!
Thanks a lot!😊
Your sick!!!!!!! I’m scared to do really complex and high detailed prints with this since my other 3d Printer can’t really do it!
Just go for it :) Failing is part of success🤗 Will post some bambulab slicer settingtipps soon :)
Great video and time to go shopping
Very well done, I agree we need to see your cost worksheet. I thought the X1 had a larger volume too. I also thought the LIDAR was cool tech I have struggled with some 1st layer issues on my CR 10S Pro. I need to consider the screen too as i am much older I enjoy a larger screen. old eyes. Also it would open me up to use more specialized materials for my Model Train parts. Well done, see you again. Dennis
Hey Dennis! Thanks a lot!
First layer issues arent a thing with the P1P either :)
To be honest you dont rly use the screen, at least i only do for stopping a print if something goes wrong and i dont have the time to use my app or laptop :) But everyone is different :)
The costs are EU based €801 for the printer and roundabout €215 for the Upgrades. So considering the X1C is at 1349 you just need €100 and can already get the AMS in that price :)
Thanks a lot!😊
@@tombeardy4833 yes the AMS would be a work saver.
