Hey DemiGob. Got a question for you, but also got a rule, so i'll get on with that first. This is my rule: When writing a comment to the channel owner of one with less than 100k subs, its rude Not to sub. So you just got one more. Congrats (And i reccomend this rule for others. Show support. So, my question for you (and all others as well, if they wish to answer): What role/purpose do you think the Goblin race should have in TTRPG settings? I know, it gets muddy and each setting is unique and all taht, but if you had to give a General answer? So i was asking myself this, and found some hard questions tbh. Mechanicly, and in Player Interaction, there almost never exists a difference between Goblins and Kobolts. They fill the same spot. Cowardly numberfighters that can be surprizingly cunning and devious. Or they are Small Orcs. Or they are the Minions from Despicable Me, for Orcs. Due to Warcraft they are from time to time also Gnomish Engineers. But rarely have a culture or tradition of themselves, or a unique and compelling origin. So what should they be? In my setting im leaning into the Mythological Goblin/gnome/tomte. They are magical fae creatures that appear in places of Making, and where its either done with high or low passion. In short they are a Reflection of the Artisans Creative Spirit and drive. So if you have a smith that realy realy lives for smithing, there will spawn Goblins in his smithy who'll be beneficial. But if you have a smith that just does it for the money, does shabby work when s/he could do it better, chooses to lower the quality of their wares, then the smithy will spawn Goblins that are troublesome for it. These goblins are not "real" creatures yet. In a good smithy, they become real (and Good Aligned, if you run DnD) when their master accepts a created object of the Goblin as a Masterwork. For a Bad smithy, they become real when the artist gives up and/or destroys its own smithy. (And then they become Evil aligned). From Sweden with Love - Kami
I like Pathfinder first editions book on Goblins. I forget the specific name of that one, but it went into great depths about there lore and culture, including the reasons for why they are as evil as they are. For one they have a fast metabolism, so they become adults by the age of 11, and require about half there body weight in food each day to survive. Given that they do not have the intelligence or reasoning to farm properly, they tend to rely on hunting, foraging, and stealing food from other species. Goblins in Pathfinder are just feral children with insatiable hunger, that lack human empathy. They die of old age usually around 30 to 40 years of age, although almost none of them make it that far, the average goblin dying usually around 14 years of age. They worship Barghests, mostly because Wargs (which are wovles with intelligence and can speak) worship Barghests and warg culture started bleeding into Goblin culture. Oh also fun fact about Goblin Riders in Pathfinder 1st E, its the Warg that's in control, directing the Goblin Rider, not the other way around heheh. Another key feature about goblins is there pride in sharp pointy teeth, since they eat so much meat they actually have a time where they communally brush there teeth together with hairs, wires, and junk they stole from other races. They also have a thing for songs and limmericks, since they don't have good memory, they tend to sing and chant whatever they are doing, to basically remind themselves what they are doing. They also have a culture of fear towards dogs and horses. They fear dogs immensely, mostly because dogs have a good sense of smell, and despite Goblins being sneaky, dogs (which are common in human villages) tend to thwart and reveal goblin raiders. In there beliefs, they think that if a Dog kills them, their souls become bound to the teeth of the dog forever doomed to gnash on the flesh of their bretheren. When it comes to horses, it's mostly because how numerous they are in human settlements, and the fact they can easily trample a goblin to death. If such a death befalls a Goblin, again they believe their souls become infused into the hooves of the horse that killed them, dooming them to forever trample over other goblins.

Goblins. Only have short-term planning ability.
Just like women! 😂🤣🤣

Screwing isn't *ALL* goblins are about...
...just like, *95%* of what they're about
like they also have stealing, stabbing and trinketing
also stealing gold
@@larsthememelord3383 That'd still classify under "screwing" as "screwing people over".
...the other 5% is gold
And that honesty is one of the few good things about them.
Absolutely love fantasy demi-human girls with tails.
do you love fantasy demi-human girls even more when they have multiple tails?

@@ham_the_spam4423 Personally it becomes a numbers game. I think you need to get into 6+ tails to be as good as 1.
YES MA'AM RIGHT AWAY
She is so adorable 💚
😭I need her so bad
Tox's stuff is pretty good
I also notice how phallic the map tokens are lol
Thats just the leaning dick of Piza
I was wondering where I'd heard Ame's voice from, because it was driving me crazy, and then I realized "Oh.................nice."
Has anyone noticed the pieces on the board?????? just wondering if anyone had a closer look......
First thing I noticed! LOL!
Beautiful
Never seen a gobogrrl with a tail, let alone a tail with a fluff tuft at the end like that one! Some kinda variant?
....im pretty sure the artist had an irish accent in mind with that dialect.

Your inflections are a bit off, but overall, well done.

Why do people always think so little about goblins?
Because you have To look down To see them.
