sam thought ray's hitbox was on its head, so spirit shackle was aimed off due to rayquaza being in attacking animation, making him miss 💀
unreal. just the thought that we could have had a better chance to loser's semis if this arrow landed, would have been secured for sure.

The name comfey is a pun on comfort and the rhyme/combo of lei (the Hawaiian flower necklace) and fay (fairy), so it's mostly just a semantics thing
I feel like the tournament organisers are trying to mess with Jake with all these weird pronunciations. 😂

It's been bothering me since its release that Jake and other RUclipsrs have been pronouncing Comfey incorrectly. The pun of the name is supposed to combine "comfy" with a Hawaiian "lei". I'm glad there's an official pronunciation now.
True about Comey, however nothing about Rayquaza refers to a quasar, but they still want him to pronounce it like that

I swear they changed something on Rayquaza's hitbox because I did the same thing with decidueye while practicing for this tournament. Barely missed its hitbox

This is an issue with Rayquaza. The objective is giant in size but its hitbox is invisible. Rayquaza looks like it occupies the entire pit but only a small section near the centre is the actual hitbox.
12:51 I think rayquaza moves ..that is why the arrow misses ….might be the same reason for wicked blow 😅😮

I mean why don't u see petal dance dealing any dmg? Why didn't bear punch KO it? There has to be some sorta explanation.
@@idunnowhatimdoin pretty sure petal dance was dealing dmg but just barely since it only does chip dmg, bear did the big boomboom dmg that u see and... spirit shackle missed
This is why they can't balance the final boss battle. Capping via last hitting in games is BS. It should be capped by standing on the defeated location for X time. A great example of this is in Heroes of the Storm. That way it's almost always capped by the better team fight and not a coin flip.
I support this, no MOBA ever touch HOTS great mechanics. Just why?

I gotta say, thanks to you my gameplay has improved and I now feel comfortable taking on a jungler role witg decidueye.
I had sone something like this opposite team doing regilekik and I blissey use x speed , and helping hand and just slapped the regilekik so hard to the ground

I had something similar happen to me once.
I was on a losing streak and we had pretty much lost the Rayquaza fight. Aegislash and I (Gardevoir) were waiting at the top of the pit to steal. We both use our Unite moves but the enemy Glaceon's basic attack took it.
I cried, like actually broke down in tears in frustration, and stopped playing the game for like two months when that happened.

Decidueye fired too early cause his team did not cover and he panicked when the Dodrio got close, one more second of charge and he would've secured that.
Nah the problem was that he missed because Rayquaza's hitbox is terrible
that pronunciation for comfey makes sense, i assume its comfy + lei... but its just one of those ones that feels weird because of how everyone else pronounces it
I believe Rotom Dex actually pronounced it as Com-fee in Season 1 Episode 4 of the SM anime, which caused some confusion for me. They changed the pronunciation entirely later on though to be com-fei like what spragels said
yeah idk theres really no standardization for pokemon pronunciations. arceus has gone through the wringer
@@youngsterjoey88 well, I think they're sticking with the new pronunciation. Comfey appeared in Journeys and they used the lei pun for its pronunciation.
But it's still kind of nuts that they kept the original "Com-fee" pronunciation for like 2 seasons only to suddenly change it on us

For me it's clearly dark bear, but dark bear needs to be close to the objective

Damn, similar things happened to me a few times recently. Maybe it's because Rayquaza looks so tall, but the hurtbox is more like the area under it?
I don't remember having this problem with Zapdos, which was a bit smaller I think.
First they make you say "Rayquayza" in this weird way, so I'm not sure how trustworthy the Pokemon Company US is in terms of pronunciation...
However Comfey seems to refer to something Hawaiian, so that pronunciation seems more correct.
I wonder what's next though. Blaystoos and Cherryzard?
If Arceus comes they'll probably call it Arkeus and not what it originally was.

The amount of abilities on that rayquaza is insane, venusaur petal dance, slowbro surf, comfey basic attack, deci arrow(not really on the last), urshifu wicked blow. They just mistaken the amount of damage needed i guess, i see a comment where the player said they missed the arrow which probably is considering they hear it, but probably. Just the amount of observation on this tournament just like dodrio going to take the spirit shackle first already reduce the damage so yes they didnt account for that

To be honest it looked like a bug to me. We can see the arrow damage, but not the urshifu damage or de petal dance damage. Very weird

i think this also shows the issue with decidueye now more so than ever, yes it deals a lot of damage but it doesnt matter cos the team can just heal it off because there are so many really good healers, its unite move also is useless doing nowhere near enoguh damage. that plus the whole fact its the squishiest pokemon in the game i feel like it needs some reworks
Nope, there are worse characters out there, what caused Deci issues was the Dodrio, that causes everyone issues anyway.
I think the main two problems with deci are both low mobility and low survivability, compounding into an extremely vulnerable character
In solo-queue, you need some good teammates to stop you from being dove on from the many all-rounders and speedsters (especially since zacian is running amok)
And in tourneys, it's just very vulnerable in this meta in general, with all of the dodrio's running around and comfey boosting the survivability of other pokes
Overall though, I believe It's just struggling in a meta that's bad for it (along with being a bit underpowered)
@@beakwooda.k.aadregallus8788 there are worse doesn’t mean it’s good. Can you give a reason why my points were invalid? You could literally see in the final fight decIdueye caught gard but couldn’t do anything else as gard just recalled. It also caught Dodrio twice with great shots but still didn’t take it out
@@micahfurlow2624 those are the two main problems yes but my point was in the past it could justify it’s use by its good secure and high damage output, but rn it’s damage output isn’t good enough and even for a secure it’s outclassed by urshifu.

Man , I honestly thought they were stronger , I've been playing Pokémon Unite all the time for fun these past two years, and I'm not a person to brag, but I think if I played on one of these teams I'd be able to carry the game without problems. Typical newbie tournament mistake from Team YT ngl. Rushing ray when 3 enemies are still alive with no one zoning the enemy away (what's the point of slowbro protecting a already safe venasaur that have an eldegoss instead of following deci? If he did, deci might able to kill dodrio earlier then they could secure Ray without being pressured). Btw, that's the combined damage from wicked blow and sprit shackle that miraclely well timed. But the execution damage for both skills are (10% + 10%), the Ray have 30% hp left. Wood hammer contributed 8%, 1 more from petal dance and the final tick by comfey

The fact that the basic squeaked through with venusaur petal dance and slowbro surf both active on rayquaza too just adds to how insane this is

Seeing the way the team protects Decidueye is really cool but also reminds of how sad it is playing him in solo Q...
This reminded me of a previous play of team yt (back then foreign famous) where i think sam or glocksic stole zap/ray with a blissey egg bomb, everyone was so surprised

Triple eevee invade was iconic for me.
I was able to defeat zacian when it was op, it was my first match against him and I was terrified of it cause it was my first time battling him I used a9
I was confused on how I managed to do it but it turned out to be a impressive battle with a9 also that match cemented my love for a9 has a pokemon dealing damage to a op pokemon
To me it was yesterday in the tournament when someone in a do or die match played Zoroark.
And I was like huh. Not the play I would have done but then again I'm not a pro so there has to be some strategy behind this. And I spent the whole game trying to figure out the strategy
