When mindflayer sends homing orb attack, right before orbs spawn, shoot at mindflayer with any explosion (shotgun parry, malicious rail, god, even overpump will work). This way orbs are "parried" back at mindflayer, instakilling her.
Or just shoot it the normal way :P
