I remember being really bummed when he left. i didn't remember that he was there for only 3 years. I thought he had the best standing in variety shows and was one of the most popular member overseas. So I didn't understand why he had left. They were raving about the number of languages he spoke. The fact that jobs still come for him even though he does not actively reach out, shows that he already had a lot of popularity. The company was blind.
Truthfully ukiss as a group deserve more. They have nice songs. It was also a rumor that after kibum left, xander left along bcs he felt it was unfair.
Sweet Escape well now we know that he was basically asked to leave. Thank God he had an imo to tell the Sajangnim off and let Xander go. Xander was blessed. He had a group the moment he entered and was able to leave cleanly when things turned sour. Angels are definitely on his side.
Kissme since 2008 here, I know for sure Xander was one of the post popular members at least among American Kissme. The member swap hurt the group more than it did help.

Well actually for male idols it's not as hard living as a kpop idol as female idols... But not every idol has the same difficulty because it depends on the companies and how popular you are

I am actually shocked at the way a lot of idols are treated and I personally feel that the companies shouldn't be able to have so much power over them. They are still people. And the issue about idols private lives is a whole issue that gets me cross to another level. Nobody should have a say in that other than the person themselves. If you're a fan, be a fan, do not try to control someone else's private life. It is quite literally none of their business. I have big issues with this. It could be a cultural difference but it makes my blood boil.

I'm so glad you did this interview segment with Alexander. Ukiss was definitely one of the 2nd gen groups that really brought me into kpop. I watched their arirang english kpop shows and their variety shows, like the cooking show that showcased their chef skills. Alex may not have been popular in korea, but internationally he would attract overseas fans. One of the reasons why I was intrigued at first with Ukiss was because he was a foreigner and had a unique look about him. His humor quickly won me over. I hate how the company just threw him aside. I never did believe he left voluntarily to pursue his studies, and this interview just proves how shady companies are. The member changes never sat well with me, and my interest in Ukiss's direction decreased. This talk was enlightening. Thanks for sharing! Hope good things are lined up for Alex in the coming future 😊💜

U-kiss was the second ever kpop group I learned about. First was SS501, initially I thought Kibum was Hyung-jun from SS501 & was very confused. Then I learned that they were brothers lol. U-kiss & Xander will always have a special place in my heart.🖤🦊🖤
I definitely agree - these idols need psychological support, just to make sure they're mentally and emotionally well. They're in a very cutthroat business that takes the best out of them.

god i remember how im soooooo obsessed with ukiss back then, i literally cried when xander and kibum left but continue to support them after aj and hoon joined, omg let me tell u tht ukiss is just the best and talented group out there! they are definitely a strong group with top notch choreography with powerful vocal ngl, they can go far with their career, they got the potential to be big in overseas, but their company give no shits about them, they deserve much better :( now, most of the members left and we only got soohyun, jun and hoon... im still gonna support them and im sure i still gonna support xander, kibum, aj, dongho and the rest for what they want to achieve in the future man, the KISSME in me will nver die! :D

U Kiss was the first ever Kpop that I fell in love so deeply with. I live in Jordan and asked a friend from the Philippines to buy for me an album from them. I used to watch all of their mvs and videos and my ringtone would be of their songs. I still believe that they were the most underated under-appreciated idols and one of the most talented of all time in Korea, although they did very well overseas.
It was good to catch up with Alexander, I'm happy he's doing well, I'm one of those few Kissmes that has been with U-Kiss. since their debut till now, I never stoped to care about all the member even when they left, all of this Shut Up and Man Man Ha Ni coming back into media even as cringy and relic as it feels, it's also nostalgic, even if is for the meme, I'm to go down the memory lane
When I was younger, I was obsessed with kpop and my favorite band was U-KISS. I remember on Twitter, Xander replied to one of my comments and I was sooo excited. It really made 14 year old me happy.

I saw you are not depressed or went worse even though the situation such as ex ent. company's treatment to you was horrible. I remember my sister and I were always imitating his role in moorim school.. Honestly I dropped it because my 12 years old brain didn't understand the story even after watching like 10 episodes of it. I usually forget about support roles(especially with dramas I didn't even finish) but my sister and I have never forgotten him because he was just too iconic..😂 it was very nice to see him in a video like this👍
I hope that Alexander is happy with all his achievements, I really hate it when companies do such horrible things to their people but the important thing is to move on and keep on trying and enjoying their lifes, U-KISS is my first ever kpop group that I knew back when I was 15 years old and I'll forever be grateful to them because they opened a whole new world for me, love you always ^^

U-kiss was the second ever kpop group I learned about. First was SS501, initially I thought Kibum was Hyung-jun from SS501 & was very confused. Then I learned that they were brothers lol. U-kiss & Xander will always have a special place in my heart.🖤🦊🖤
I definitely agree - these idols need psychological support, just to make sure they're mentally and emotionally well. They're in a very cutthroat business that takes the best out of them.
I am a ukiss fan since 2010, and i really love all of them, I always thought that Alexander has an amazing personality and he deserves all the good things in the world

god i remember how im soooooo obsessed with ukiss back then, i literally cried when xander and kibum left but continue to support them after aj and hoon joined,
omg let me tell u tht ukiss is just the best and talented group out there! they are definitely a strong group with top notch choreography with powerful vocal ngl, they can go far with their career, they got the potential to be big in overseas, but their company give no shits about them, they deserve much better :(
now, most of the members left and we only got soohyun, jun and hoon... im still gonna support them and im sure i still gonna support xander, kibum, aj, dongho and the rest for what they want to achieve in the future

U Kiss was the first ever Kpop that I fell in love so deeply with. I live in Jordan and asked a friend from the Philippines to buy for me an album from them. I used to watch all of their mvs and videos and my ringtone would be of their songs. I still believe that they were the most underated under-appreciated idols and one of the most talented of all time in Korea, although they did very well overseas.

Honestly I dropped it because my 12 years old brain didn't understand the story even after watching like 10 episodes of it.
