A AirTag is meant to be hidden away from others’ eyes so they won’t know it’s on the child. A kidnapper can easily just take the AirTag off and break it. Therefore, having the AirTag on a visible bracelet is not a good thing.

Also that ridiculous scenario you just mentioned proves you watch too many movies. Firstly you’re under the assumption they can just see the tag on their iPhone which is not the case if it’s not in a moving vehicle. Secondly you’re under the assumption they even have an iPhone.

the best option is to be a responsible fucking parent and keep track of your child. i know you might be like "how do i keep track of my child if they're still a toddler , and i have to go to work?". well, hear me out: no matter if you buy a pointless ass airtag bracelet, or hide it in your child's shoe, a kidnapper will just get a notification saying "an airtag has been found following you" and will give them an option to ring it to find it. from there they can just go to some random place and take out the battery. doesn't matter if they use an android or iphone. lol.
