My ZD28 is getting older so Ive been doing and Filming a lot of repairs to get it back to like new condition lately. Thanks for taking the time to video your efforts during this repair. Do you have a follow up video to let us know how the ol Kubota is doing now 2 years later. Kudos to your dad for keeping er so clean.

Dad is still mowing grass every week in the summer with it. I still mow 8 acres every every week with a 1997 John Deere F925. Got to keep the old mowers going. New ones cost to much. Lol

Glad I found this video. I have a ZD28 approaching 1600hrs, and my left side drive is getting weak. I’m afraid it’s on the way out. Did your’s lose drive completely or just get weak? I had found some discussion online I about this kit, and I’ve already talked to my dealer about it. Current cost is $2700, they said probably close to that much in labor to do it. I have the shop, tools, ability, etc. to do it. I just don’t have a lot of free time to do it. Seeing how big of a job it is just getting to it I know there’s no way I can tackle it myself. Hoping I can get through the summer with mine as is.

It got really weak on the one side but didn't stop pulling. It was a pretty big job. It took us a total of 3 days of really getting after it to complete the job. Might have been quicker if we had done it before, but there are some things you just don't know until you know. Lol

@@wrenchbenders that’s how mine is now. The right side pulls a lot harder. It’s kinda hard to drive it straight. Lol. Hoping I can limp it through the summer and take it in to the dealer in the fall. It’s definitely a bigger job than I have time to tackle on my own. Thanks for the quick reply! I enjoyed the video, I’ll check out some more of your stuff.

Hi! I plan to do the same service like you showed in your video. Thank you for sharing it. Regarding the upgraded pump I am not shure, which one is the right. It would be great, if you can share the article number.

The info that dad got for all of this was from a local Kubota dealer. I am not aware of the article although I am sure there is one.

@@wrenchbenders Thank you for your quick reply. My dealer and me are struggling as there are several variants for this pump. Maybe I find a way to choose the updated one, which you showed in your video. I appreciate your work a lot. Keep going 😊

How much did the parts cost. I need the same stuff for mine.

Dad said it was around $1900 through a local kubota dealer without the extra tank kit he put on and around $2300 with the tank kit. If you want any more information or pictures of the kit we can send them to you.

I recently purchased one that needs all of this done. So appreciate the video. I’m curtly waiting for a local dealership to get back to me with the parts list. I plan on repairing it all myself.

Is there a decent dealer you deal with that will give a guy a better deal on parts and I’ll just pay shipping.
