Their live performances are emotionally draining, sweeping you from one extreme onwards to the edge of a cliff, breathless.Needing to collapse into a chair from sheer exhaustion.Then having an overwhelming compulsion to blindly smash that chair to bits, over and over x.o.x.x.
When I saw them several years ago, at the climax of BBF3 when they all come down _hard_ on the dominant at the first beat of the bar, Philippe switched all four projectors in perfect synch to the same footage but with colored gels over each one-red, blue, white, red from what I remember. It was mind-blowing.
Saw these guys in Vancouver during summer of 2018. They are probably the loudest band I have ever been to and they are absolutely brilliant. The show was sold out as well so I was lucky to get tickets to see these guys. Fantastic show, pretty much the video showed the entire set list of what they played here. It's really an experience like no other seeing GYBE
Most regrettably,if I had been born two years earlier,I would love them and meet them live in 2016.Hoping they come to china again.There are more and more people getting to know and love them.
I saw them in Vancouver at a sold out show at The Vogue last summer. GOD DAMN They play loud. Loudest concert I've been too. But it was amazing. Would definitely want to see them again.
Yeah it's loud alright, I saw them back in 2011 while delirious with food poisoning, I didn't want to miss the show. It was borderline torture, all the songs with 2x drums I was on the verge of collapse, but luckily I saw them again a few years later and it was glorious.

They toured extensively from 2011 to 2018. Some members are playing on their own music now, not sure when they'll be back on the road as a collective.

Live versions of Fam/Famine / Undoing a Luciferian Towers are so incredibly better than the album.
"Fam/Famine" and "BFF3" are like all rage, chaos and madness in the world condensed in half an hour.
