on the back 2 mount points (each with 2 bolts), the factory nut's width barely covers the opening that the frame side's bolt protudes from. Meaning, i feel there should be a kit supplied washer which I did not see when I unpacked the sliders. On your video it appears the holes on YOUR sliders for those bolts is much smaller, which means a larger area for the nut to grab on to (no need for washer). I'm going to have to wait till Monday to get this figured out with DV8 :(
I have the stock one on my 2018 JL and am trying to find a rock slider that I like. Did you notice any difference in weight when you replaced this? Seems like the stock one is only about 10 lbs. How much does the DV8 one weight?
Not sure of the exact weight but they are definitely heavier and far more rugged. Not too much weight to really worry about though. Thanks for watching.
Great question. The isolator goes on before the slider as it was from factory. The bolt head and washer go on the outside of the slider and then through the isolator into the chassis. Thanks for watching.
I used to run DV8 sliders, bumpers and tire carrier but once word got out that they screwed over a handful of other manufacturers they were supposed to partner up with like Locked Offroad, I stripped it all off. I refuse to support a shady company like DV8.
Considering some DIY sliders for my JL 2 door. Nice to see how these mount.
Go for it! Thanks for watching.

Interesting. I wonder if they changed the design to allow for more tolerance and in doing so now need a washer? Curious.

Thanks for sharing
My pleasure, thank you for watching.
Did you have to apply any heat to the front bolts that have red loctite on them?
I didn't, they came off without heat.
Dv8 rock sliders still holding up well?
I sold this jeep, but they seemed to be rugged so I would think so.
Did you notice any less stone chips? I got my first two this past weekend. While in Ohio 🤢 lol. One on the door hinge and one on the lower driver door
I will say the tires tend to throw everything around! Thanks for watching.
I wonder if JL and JK have the same tub mounts ?
Not 100% positive, but although the 2 models look very similar I don't think they share any parts.
Do you know if you can mount the DV8 sliders over the rubicon sliders?
No, the rubicon sliders have to be removed first. They share most of the same mounting points.
Those look very nice. Do they make them for the JK?
Yes, they do make a model for the JK as well ( dv8offroad.com/collections/jeep-jk-rock-sliders/products/sr-1 ) Thanks for watching.
Did the isolator go back in before the slider or did it go on with the bolt on the outside of the slider?

Good information to know. I had not heard of this yet. Thanks for watching,.

These rock sliders are not worth any money, damaged with one hit of a rock and they won’t replace them. Highly don’t recommend this company.
I will say the powder coating doesn't do well with bangs.
