Rhys/Reese is one of the rare few reasonable creepypasta protagonists, staying calm, rational, and cautious, not ignoring even seemingly small anomalies, and having a strong enough will to resist 22's temptations.
"It seemed a bit weird that everything outside had been replaced with a featureless, smoky void. But I shrugged it off and went to take a nap."
As soon as Reese said he was feeling elated at taking charge, I knew the whole thing was a hallucination. Good on him for catching on, though!
That's the most "almost gotcha didn't I" kinda vibe I've felt from any story lately. Mere moments before a breach from containment
Rhys is actually so underrated as an employee. His colleagues barely seem to notice him, but he was critical here in preventing a breach from 22, he doesn't shout for glory or recognition, as much as he clearly craves it- and in 'Object 16' it's mentioned that he actually goes BACK into the complex to try and rescue the politician Prichard after the outbreak, even despite how rude and unhelpful the guy was being as Rhys was trying to show him around.

I saw the ending as a small victory.
He gained knowledge.
He experienced the Objects abilities thoroughly and released himself from it's telepathic illusion. Therefore, those subtle details will be easier to spot and 22 would have to be a little more on guard as well if another incident occurred.
But....the MC is a dreamer.....that small victory means nothing to him, unfortunately.
I normally don't like "it was all just a dream" twists but this story did it really well. Also love Rhys as a protagonist, logical and just the right amount of sass

At 27 minutes I really realized the true horror.

Object 16 probably should have been destroyed when it metamorphosed. This facility is awful unsecure and populated by fairly incompetent staff for some sort of secret government facility that contains these otherworldly entities.
This might actually be one of the most reasonable creepypasta protagonists

I enjoyed this sequel, it was fun even if predictable.
That was an awesome creepy pasta 🍝 not many can get me to totally 💯immerse myself in the story not realizing the twist until the last minute when Reece or Rhys is handed the remote to override the doors I woke up seconds before he finally figuring out 22 has high jacked his brain 🧠. I’m sure thinking the same thought he did in away “good job “22” or shall I say the author of this story snd one of the finest 😊story tellers of the creepy pasta world 🌍. Thank you

You think they wouldn't understand estimate any of these objects being that they're unpredictable but you know chaos has to happen some way or another. Also never shoot the glass ever no matter what

Rhys is a good main character and Object 22 is a reasonably strong mindf*ck object that does indeed work in a (somewhat) realistic enviroment.
HOWEVER, that dumb random politician from last time is not needed. The mention itself hurts the story.
