Hey great video! When you’re doing the block graduation sections on the sides closest to the parietal ridge, (1:30), how do you know the appropriate length? I’m wondering if I’d accidentally cut too much and have the hair spike out. Thank you!!!
Thanks very much! The length of he block graduation is up to you, it depends on the style. For example with this haircut, I knew we were scissor cutting the sides short. So I pulled the sides out to match the length I envisioned for the sides. If the hair is super straight and it grows outwards, I would suggest leaving extra heaviness on the sides to weight down the hair. For a clipper cut, I would generally cut as close to my knuckle as possible and then Ild run a grade #3 into my block graduation. Hope that helps?
