Most informative video on using callas in a wedding that i have seen, thanks so much (especially about the nail polish, sounds much better than someone else's suggestion of wax)
Thanks so much for watching our show, Patsy! We also love the idea of nail polish to seal the calla stems because it is so easy. We hope you will join us again soon, and wishing you all the best.
We are delighted to learn that you found our show on the calla bouquet helpful, Sidonie! We do hope that your wedding bouquets were absolutely gorgeous too. Thanks so much for watching our show and we look forward to seeing you again soon when you have the time. All the best to you!
We hope your calla lily bouquet was a marvelous success, Miriam! Thanks so much for watching our show and we hope to see you again one of these days for more wedding floral design with Leanne. Wishing you a peaceful week!
Nail polish is definitely a winner when it comes to floral design, Luis! Thanks so much for watching our show, and we hope you enjoyed the calla hand-tied bridal bouquet that Leanne created. We hope to see you again soon, and in the meantime, have a lovely week filled with flowers!
Callas are such a happy and elegant flower, Carolyn! We love to share them with you in wedding bouquets and floral arrangements. The yellow ones that Leanne uses in this design are particularly beautiful. Thanks so much for watching our show and we do hope you enjoyed it. Look forward to hosting you again soon and do have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for watching our show, Yanipooh! The nail polish tip is indeed a winner and we are so glad to hear that you found it useful too. Look forward to seeing you when you have the time. Wishing you all the best!
did not know that the Calla secretes the toxic stuff.. wow good to know here i was thinking of adding them to my wedding cake as the decorations.. lol. glad i seen that!
Yes, callas have a sap that can cause issues with skin or clothes so it's probably better to leave them off the cake. Thanks so much for watching our show, and we hope that your wedding celebration was a lovely one. Have a beautiful week and all the best to you!
That's marvelous news, Ernesto, and we hope you were able to create a beautiful calla bouquet at home! Thanks so much for watching our show and we look forward to seeing you again soon when you have some free time. Wishing you all the best!
Thank you very much, Blanca! We love sharing floral design and Callas with all of you. Thank you for watching our show, and we hope we'll see you again very soon. All the best!
wow. had no idea they had toxic "sap"... thank you so much for letting us know! every other video i've watched on here about callas said nothing about that at all!
Yes, callas and daffodils both put off sap that can be toxic to other flowers so they need to be processed separately. Thanks so much for watching our show, and we hope that you will join us again soon, Bluecutipy1. Have a delightful week!
So delighted to hear that you enjoyed this lovely calla bridal bouquet, Zyra! Thank you very much for watching our show and we hope to see you again soon for more wonderful wedding floral design with Leanne. All the best to you!
I absolutely love your videos!!! I will be doing the wedding flowers with callas cascading in the holder with loamie foam... in this case what do I use to trap the sap in the stem Thank you!
That's an interesting question, Darlene! It may be a little more challenging to do with just callas, but this video about building a cascade bouquet may help. As Leanne mentions in the video, this design combines a hand-tied bouquet with a hand-wired one for the cascade effect. You many need some foliage to help cover mechanics, especially if you plan to use only callas. We sent you the video from the Flower School Video Library because it has a transcript below the video and that will help you walk through the steps more easily. Here it is: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/flower-school-cascade-wedding-bouquet.html Remember that callas can be manipulated to give that curvy effect, which will help achieve the cascade look. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch our show. We hope that you will join us again soon and wish you all the best in all that you do! P.S. We found another video that might give a similar effect to the one you desire and it features callas specifically: ruclips.net/video/-GULTck8cXc/видео.html All the best to you!
Great question! You could have them sit in a vase of water prior to delivery then treat the ends allowing them to fully dry before delivery. You will have 12-24 hours before the callas begin to fade, making them a great flower for event work.
So happy to hear that you found this show on callas helpful, Lucianna! This bridal bouquet is one of our favorites and we hope you enjoyed it too. Thanks for watching our show and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

I absolutely love your videos!!! I will be doing the wedding flowers with callas cascading in the holder with loamie foam... in this case what do I use to trap the sap in the stem
Thank you!
Great question! The cut portion of the stem would be in foam so there is no danger of the sap damaging the bridal gown.
@@FlowerSchool thank you Leann for the quick reply and information! Your awesome!
Delighted to be of help, Jana! Thanks for watching our show.
How do I take this technique and make a calla Lilly tear drop cascading bouquet.

@@FlowerSchool i am happy to be alive after ten years
We are glad you are with us, Ernesto, and we hope to see you soon. Wishing you a peaceful week!
How does the flower hydrate after adding the nail polish?
The nail polish is a last minute treatment. The flowers will not rink after treatment.......
your way is much faster than the way I learn how to do one.....
We are delighted to hear that you found Leanne's technique faster! Thank you so much for watching our show, and we hope to see you again very soon. All the best to you!
Bellissimo Bouquet , ma che cosa hai messo sotto i gambi? ,a cosa serve quel lucido?
Thank You. The nail polish is used to seal the stems and prevent the staining of wedding dress fabric.
FlowerSchool I understood correctly It would practically serve, to protect the stems from the bride's wedding dress
That is correct...
oh no, i accidently pressed "dont like" when i tried to favorite it :(
Not to worry, Stine! We are glad you joined us for our show on Callas and we hope to see you again soon. P.S. We appreciate you making it a favorite! :)
