I was a single mom and I since moved on with someone who is not the father of my first 2 kids. I can say from personal experience in Amina's defense when it comes to requiring more from your ex/baby daddy, I'm sure she has tried but after years of fighting, arguing and trying to make a man be a better father, you become mentally and emotionally exhausted. I've even been back and forth thru court fighting for child support that my children are entitled to and trying to make the failing court system enforce payments out of him. Taking away time from my own job that pays the bills to fight for what rightfully belongs to my kids. To this day I have not recieved a dime in 2.5 yrs. Our youngest is 3 so most of her life I got nothing from his ass. But once you've developed your routine of doing all things alone as a single mother, it just becomes more about peace of mind. I became at peace with my life with my children doing everything for them and accepting that their father is just not up to the level that I am as a parent. At the end of the day you can't make a man be a man. I'm so at peace with that and owning up to the mistake of choosing a bad spouse also gives me acceptance and ownership. It's like you knew he was a piece of shit so expect the continuous shittyness from him,when he does something good, take it as a surprise but don't get comfortable expecting consistency from a man who has proven to be inconsistent. I've had friends tell me girl u better make him do this and that. But my peace of mind is priceless.

A part two? YES MAAM!!!! Well, I’m not gonna lie... that’s a lesson I learned when I noticed my own patterns when it came to men. I had to take accountability for my behaviors, find the origins of it and basically start intentionally changing with the help of God! Healing happens! ❤️

I always liked Amina and I love her open, sweet personality and way of expressing herself.
She's got great music. When I watch the old episodes of LHH I remember that her and Peter actually made great songs together.
I always thought that he really loved her. I like Tara too but they got together when she was a teen. I know people don't like Amina because of her relationship with Peter but him marrying her really had her thinking that he and Tara were cohabitating. Both women paid the price and deserve to be happy

Amina seems to be in a much better place now. She is gorgeous and glowing, she really seems to be a peace and that's an amazing start. I hope she finds someone that will love and treat her right and cherish her babies.
We have all done something that wasn’t the best choice for us, Especially when we were younger. What was she 20 something when she went on LAHH. She has grown, and she has fell in love with herself. Hell, she makes me want to go see a therapist to let some things out.

Like normal people will sit and sulk in their misery and not eat and cry and go into a depression and just not even have the strength to climb out of bed and brush they teeth but when u have two little kids that depend on you for their meals, depend on you to take them to the potty, depend on you to bathe them and every other little thing it kinda keeps u up and moving so u don’t have time to sit and be depressed and eventually u begin to feel better ig.. doesn’t mean u healed just means this person has no more control over your everyday emotions and then ig once the hard part is over it’s easy to start the actual healing process which still takes a toll on your emotions but you learn how to deal with it better ig

Man she is glowing and it's not from lighting and make up. Truly a butterfly personified!
You can’t force a man to be there. Sure you can be firm or “require” but you can’t physically put a leash on a man and force him to take care of his responsibilities. The only thing you can require and get back is child support...but that’s money and it’s not all about money. Kids need love, attention, affection, bonding, transferring energies from parent to kid. So that’s his lost🤷🏾♀️ she can’t be worried about him. She gotta keep it pushing and being her strong self. Kudos to her!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Thank you! Great interview! I always loved Amina. (She reminds me a bit of Aaliyah btw with her look here). She is a very kind hearted, loving spirit. Some may knock her for being too weak, but she is just a very sweet forgiving person who tries to see the good in everyone and every situation. This was surprisingly interesting. The interviewer did a phenomenal job of mixing the questions but also understanding the hot topics needed to be discussed. It's clear Amina has a huge heart and very idealistic about love. When she said oh me and Tara are friends AND she's always been the other woman, it's clear her boundary levels are lax.

Thats part of the problem with her and Tara , they never required any effort from Peter for anything. Everything came to him easy......he didn't have to do anything but say a few words , no action, and they both let him do what the fu€k he wanted.
