Sohyang came across more purely as spreading the gospel, befitting the message of the song, rather other stages, although more elaborate, where were intended as a show.

A lot of haters like to pick on her saying that she’s nasal. You can hear clearly here that her voice takes on a more twangy sound when she sings in English. It’s really just a language thing. It’s the way she pronounces her words in English. The way you articulate makes a difference. She places stress or emphasis on certain vowels that’s what causes the twangy sound which can come off as nasal sounding. She doesn’t have this problem in her mother tongue. This is just something I’ve noticed for a long time about her voice. I’m not a professional.
