While I cant afford it, ive immediately fallen in love with this ship. ESPECIALLY because of the FF Copperhead. Really glad to see the design being updated and used in a game -and even better? In star citizen!
I was thinking about this thing, and I think it would also make an acceptable search and rescue ship. Now, when I say that, I'm talking about someone going down in very hostile territory (Vanduul space for example) and needing to get in to save them without being noticed. It's no Cutlass Red, but I could see it being fitted that way. Also, spyplane. What better way to look into hostile (or restricted) zones than a ship that's hard to spot.
I was thinking the same thing. I would not use it for a drop ship. I would use it to scan enemy territory close up and look for vulnerabilities and then report back. Also, stealing small but priceless values from dangerous areas. Finally, I could escort VIP or top general from one location to another. My only wish is they would create a variant without the seats and simply a convert cargo ship.
I could see it as a solid black-ops ship for an organization or mercenary outfit, somebody's ship needs to be taken out/commandeered and redirected discreetly? Prowler. Take out an authority on a station? Prowler. Factions can use this as a poison-edged scalpel to quickly and quietly remove certain opponents to their authority.
I don't know why everyone was expecting it to be some sort of ram, slice open the hull and board ship. It's been said since the very beginning and as recently as the art contest that it was designed for EVA-style entry. The ram and board ship is going to come with the Vanduul. "The Prowler’s effectiveness as a rapid personnel deployment vehicle was mainly due to its silence. The boarding was constructed using a variety of techniques to minimize its signatures and get close to unsuspecting vessels before quickly deploying their boarders via EVA."
This was a great video. I own a Prowler, and can't wait for it. I'm my Orgs only dedicated Dropship pilot. The thing about the Prowler being fast was explained a bit. They said it will have a slow acceleration to keep signatures low, but a high top speed. Also, it will have a very strong boost for those times when you just gotta go. Here are a couple more interesting tidbits about the ship (subject to change of course) - It has been stated by the SC team that the Prowler will have some of the best stealth capability in the game, and has all 3 types of defensive measures (chaff/flare/decoys) - The Phalanx shield is capable of forgoing coverage over the ship in order to create one impenetrable (even to the Prowler) shield wall in front of the Prowler. This can be used to protect the ship when your coming head on into a hot spot, protect troops as they de-board, or even protect other ships on approach. - Ever wish you could attach a Marine to a missile and launch him at a ship? Well, according to the issue of Jump Point that covered the Prowler, you might get that chance. The Prowler will have a beacon that it can launch that attaches to an enemy ship. This will probably be the main component of the "boarding" function, and I want this sooo bad, lol. As a dedicated Dropship pilot, there are certainly more versatile options out there. The Vanguard Hoplite, the Redeemer, and the Retaliator (with dropship mod). All those ships have more firepower, and are likely better in a stand up fight than the Prowler. Here's the rub...in a game that promises (quasi) permadeath, do you really want to be in a stand up fight when you have 6-12+ other players on board? I don't. My job is to get my troops to the drop safely, so they can complete the mission. When someone has firepower on a ship, they tend to want to use it, and that can turn bad quickly. Now sure, the Prowler can be spotted, and may have to defend itself. However, knowing that I have stealth and not firepower, I'm more likely to drop countermeasures and Quantum Jump out, than try to take everyone on. Yea it's a bit more boring than everyone jumping into turrets and fighting but they will, more often than not, make it to the destination in one piece.
I'd also be really good for Sabotage, not for just sneaking in troops, but once boots are on the ground they can sneak around and take out the power plant of a ship/station for their friends outside. That way after they take out the power plant they can lock it down to stop the enemy from fixing it while your friends come in and either mop up the remaining fighters, or demand their surrender.
Humn. As a data theft platform, load up a data spike package on it, approach the target on the down low, make contact, hack away, get your info, get out of dodge while dropping off an EMP to shut them down long enough to make your escape.
Love the look of it. I know they say bird but in it's landed posture it looks like a wyvern when it's landed to me. As someone who will probably be playing almost exclusively solo it's disappointing that this wont really fit my purposes. If it could remove the seating for cargo room then I'd be more willing to jump on it. Also from the look of the guns I'm wondering if the size six gun will be restricted to firing rear only.
Reminds me of the 'Hunter Killers' from the Terminator Movies. Hovers instead of lands on the enemy vessel, very clever. A must have for the nefarious.
This will probably be a ship i would use for Special Operations or stealing cargo vessels as a pirate with out the ships crew even knowing your there until its too late.

They seemed to be keeping with that as well when questions came up more recently about how to stop a ship you have disabled in order to board it. Their answer was tractor beams. The correct answer is you match velocity, pitch, yaw and roll with your thrusters and then board.
Youngblood could you do an update video on the modular ships and what modules to expect if they go into any more detail about the caterpillar and similar ships.
I love the ship, but with all of it being seats I'm worried it won't have anywhere near the versatility of the Redeemer, or even the hoplite. though those two don't carry as many troops they can go farther and operate semi independently. will definitely be cool to see what long term plans they have for the prowler
im hoping the advanced modularity that they have spoken of allows us to replace the seats in the middle with cargo or a planning table. ultimate goal for me is to make it into a guardians of the galaxy esc ship
Say I have enough people to fill the seats, would there ever be a demand for a ship like this? There are uses for it but I mean as it's intended purpose, a military drop ship. I am looking at the pic at 0:26 and it is dropping them into a battle ground. Could there be a scenario like that? All I can think of is a civil war and you could be a freelancer for either side being paid to transport troops.
Cool looking ship.....and that cool factor is, IMHO, the #1 reason it's priced so high. If you could pull out the drop module and replace it with a cargo module this baby would sell 10x better.....heck, I'd buy one if I could pull out the drop module.
Not a transport actually, just specifically not always as a drop ship. Once you free up that space it can become vastly more. I simply don't see a whole lot of uses for this ship, at this price point, to justify it's purchase. I am a PvP player at heart, and I have over $1200 invested in the production of this game. I LOVE the look of this ship and I'd love to have one. But for how much this costs, it NEEDS more than one use.
Imagine this ship with a roaver in it....pretty outstanding. Or with holding cells for bounty work....pretty outstanding. I could go on and on. Damn cool ship.
Guys you don't understand the point of the price. The ship cost that much because a) hard limit, that not every person at start has something like that b) getting ships now isn't for "because i want that ship for that and that!" it is to help funding the game you will get the ship later ingame for probably much less ingame currency. And don't be the guys who be fooled with the price of the ship later ingame.
compared to the other ships of this size and use this ship is expensive. when the game comes out ships will be more expencive ingame per chris roberts and yeah i do want this ship for "that and that" stealth and crew capacity.
I would like to see tools and specialized equipment to manually breach a hull or airlock, so you can have a specialized teams being dropped to breach a ship.
Once you have the money for it, buy it and then: 1) Mount it with powerful emp guns 2) Lower the shields to allow full use of emp guns and lower the signature 3) Fill it with pirates (hackers and fighters) 4) Sneak into space in research of a small/middle size ship of your interest 5a) Take the target's ship down with the emp guns 5b) Drop the hackers/fighters crew on the target's ship so they take down weapons and people from the inside 6) Rob the ship and, well, own a new ship for your piracy activities ... ...Mmmh... YEAAAH I'm sure I'm gonna make a lots of friends with that one
Indeed it looks pretty much like it lol, but as ppl are saying, there are many concepts of ships like that, i don't mine at all, actually CIG should take a look on any ship design they could find...
oh dont get me wrong ive always wqanted to fly a dropship that looks like the copperhead. The only issue I have with this ship is I think it should have cost around $300.
COMMANDERHAWK22 i drop like 10 bucks every month upgrading my ship, right now i have a super hornet, that way my wallet doesan't feel much and i keep suporting the game, and testing a lot of ship on the way... but that ship is indeed too expensive. The polaris costs like 70% more but is a much bigger ship that will scare players in the verse...
i do love the design though, very alien fitting. Cant wait to see the race. could you do a video about the picture CIG tweeted about the alien race, maybe some speculation if they would be part of the NPC crew that you can hire
To me it shares the same shape language as the Redeemer, the tail fin etc. Now if CIG would just say that the Redeemer was made by Esperia instead of Aegis, it would solve the mental problem I with the Nutcracker Drive not fitting in with the rest of the line. Not really looking at SC for the soldier experience, however I do like the Prowler enough to reconsider that position.
To me it looks like a great dropship, but as for a boarding ship... not so much. For a boarding ship I imagine at least a cutting tube, which could extend and open up the hull of a capital ship. :D That would be neat!
I think the point of this ship is overtaking a ship without damaging it much to add to your fleet, vs the Vanduul ship that does cut into it's opponent but does major damage.
This is my absolute favorite looking ship in the game but it has no use for me sadly. I want to be a cargo hauler and it is highly unlikely that they will make the internal seats removable for cargo space and even though I like the idea of flying it for people, I only have 3 friends with the game so I can't really make use of the seats. I have thought about using it for smuggling/stealthy pirating like STL said but I can't really justify the price since I would have to melt my 3 of my 4 ships for it :(
Can someone explain to me the purpose of stealth when CIG is working on a new 3rd person view for ships? Would love to see them get rid of 3rd person all together, but from ATV 3.10 i don't see that happening.
Well, to me, when you fly in space, you head towards a direction. You rely on your radar to know what's around, you don't spend time watching behind you if there was a sneaky bitch coming to you. And then comes a pirate prowler that disables your ship before you have time to realize it, which drops a tenth of pirates ready to get onboard to, well you know, kill everybody and take everything you have. Prowler, almost a religion.
whats with the 5' drop getting out of the bays? I didn't realize the goal was to break the legs of the boarding party. Perhaps it is so they cant get back in, and so are less likely to run from a fight? Hahaha Beautiful ship though.
JACOB1556 To quote PT Barnum, there's a sucker born every minute. The Prospector's nearly $200 more than the Redeemer, and both do generally the same thing.
MISC Prospector released at $140 and is a mining ship. The Redeemer is $250 and is a gunship. I think you're confused on which ships you're talking about. Prospector is cheaper than the Redeemer. Also, if you think a gunship is anything close to a mining ship then all hope is lost. I do agree that the Prowler seems over price by probably $200 bucks, but the beauty of it is I don't have to buy it with money. Get it when the game comes out.
What people won't understand is that it's mostly expensive for exclusivity and for funding really, that's what they said, expensive ships are not for everyone. Later when game launches you should be able to purchase different ships in game as well not only in web store.
Hi with the Sale i wanna get in to Star citizen and finally buy my first Package. Would it be a good idea to buy a Mustang Package ( with SC and S42) And add a 85x as a LTI body that i can upgrade later? Maybe some one can give me some advice !=)
By all means grab a mustang alpha. However you can't add LTI to a non-LTI ship so when you upgrade to the 85x you'd lose the LTI (you always keep the starting version of insurance). However LTI is NOT a big deal, it's a minor cost saving in the game later, convenience only really. Lastly I'm not sure the 85x has a jump drive which essentially means it needs to be on a larger ship to travel far.
It's still possible to obtain "old" packages from the grey market with LTI, which can possibly be a better option for you - especially when you're not from the U.S. and have to pay VAT. But outside of this, yes, what you're planning sounds like a decent plan. Assuming a new Ship comes on sale as a concept, you could still melt your 85x and buy the Ship directly. (The Avenger Titan Renegade does sound like a very interesting Starter-Ship so far.)
you could, but remember you don't NEED to. But if you can spare the money and want to help fund the development than buy away. Also pay attention to our awesome content creators they do a bunch of giveaways and look after us.
You allready come with a good plan and you get worse ideas as an answer.... Yes, get a starter pack with a mustang alpha or beta and if you plan to invest some more money later, get the 85x with LTI, but not as an upgrade but a standalone ship. Later you can apply any ship upgrade to the 85x and keep the LTI. Don't even start thinking about buying something on the greymarket. To many scamers and CIG doesn't tollerate it.
Will there be a device that will slow your decent in atmosphere, like a parachute/Jetpack. If the combat on the ground is to hot and you can't find an LZ you need to find a way to deploy troops. They would have to jump out of the Prowler at high altitude and use this device to infiltrate an area almost completely unseen/unheard. And when extraction is needed send in the Prowler for evac.
Ya you could do that but let's be honest skydiving is way cooler. Plus if they add in anti aircraft weapons. Then it would be the most likely means of inserting troops. I just remembered an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, when they flew their gunships just over water and the clones started dropping in. It's one of those things that would be pretty cool.
Oh yeah no doubt it would be way cooler to do a halo-esque jump (high altitude, low opening) but I just don't see it happening for now....maybe in the future though
I understand some of the "Special snowflake rare alien fighters" being unique, limited, and overpriced to increase rareness. but those are fighters, and there are other options and alternatives. the prowler seems to be a little too good at it's role compared to the alternatives, if you can even consider the current dedicated dropship troop transports any kind of alternative. lore-wise this ship should be almost impossible to get in the full game. the advantages of a prowler over, say, a hoplite are massive in comparison to a glaive/scythe/khartu vs. Sabre/hornet/bucc
I feel being fooled. A bit. They said it will be a vessel for boarding. Not dropship, but BOARDING ship. They also said you need to board only when a prey is completely motionless, so first you need to power down all engines than try to breach airlock or hull. To do so they provided cannons like Suckerpunch but how I can possibly use them if this ship has so weak power supply? And doesn't have any missiles? As for smuggling - good option but there is no cargo room here. Even The Redeemer has some. The Prowler doesn't fit for Bounty Hunting - it doesn't have any prisoner cells... Sneak deployment of troops - is only option left :(
Only need one or two per org i'm forcing half of my org mates to chip in for one Edd demands we get a Pegasus when and if its sold so its a must buy for us.
COMMANDERHAWK22 Well its a specialized ship the redeemer can only transport 3-4 unless you cram people in its cargo space. The prowler carries 16 including pilots. So i guess that factors in, my biggest issue is its range and speed.
Redeemer is going to change *alot* because the metrics of redeemer don't match at all with how they are doing ships now and that is why we have not seen it in game yet.
What ship holds the most cargo that is reasonable to fly with just 1 person? Currently I have the hull b but I am wondering if there is something else I could get.
CaptainSimonster Hey, yeah I'm sorry your right. I had the Hull A in mind. In that case, I think you allready got the biggest 1 man Cargo Ship. Would make sence, since the Hull series is dedicated for cargo hauling like no other ship line.
Zelen Ilum I know the hull b is the biggest one specified as 1 crew but I was wondering if there were other ones that are possible to crew with 1 man that hold more cargo
CaptainSimonster Well, you could fly the Caterpillar allone or with NPCs, but that wouldn't be as efficient and maybe you have to make some detours, because the Caterpillar maybe doesn't fit thrue the same jumppoints as the Hull B. The Caterpillar is in sale at the moment, but its much more expensive then the Hull B.
if some1 cannot play a lot, he can buy things for real cash and have fun from the very first minute of the game. If he / she wanna buy this with in game credits, the limited play-time will force him / her to have less fun for weeks or months. Just imagine wanting this ship but making boring cargo missions in a crapy Aurora. Besides, Roberts said several times, that the credit prices would be as high as they should be. In some videos, you can see that a handgun costs several hundreds of credits, just like in the US today. And how many handguns could you buy with the price of a middle sized cargo plane in real life? Many, many, many. So if a handgun costs some hundreds space bucks, no1 should really hope that a Freelancer is 10 000. Not to mention the combat ships So buying for cash can be a good idea, even if a player plays 8 hours a day
Think there's any chance to secure a person in this for a Bounty Hunting ship to take criminals alive? With the ability to sneak up on things this would be perfect for "take them alive" bounty hunting.
Speaking of smuggling narcotics..has anyone heard anything about a potential drug system? I was just thinking if I wanted to go the outlaw route, then being star citizen's very own pablo escobar would definitely be my choice. It would be awesome if you could smuggle in narcotics and sell to players and NPC's, and the more you sell the more criminals and overall crime rates raise throughout the galaxy, and the players who are the most successful get to fight for control of this new criminal empire. You could even take it a step further by implementing a control panel for those in control, where they can do exactly that..control the crime throughout the galaxy. Maybe even in the future be able to establish your own base of ops, and place stash houses everywhere so if you get raided by the police or a "good" player you don't lose everything at once..just like the real drug lords do. There are so many possibilities here, and with this game in general it's unreal!
Also as far as selling to players go, the narcotics should give you combat bonuses, like not feeling pain (pcp) or increasing damage in melee (bath salts lol)..which would give them incentives to buy.
Vtr Gott I assume it'll have extra strong shielding so it shouldn't matter, right? if not when this ship goes live, and gets its damage states updated then we'll have issues.
Raybeze Yeah, you are right, its said to have really strong shields AND strong armor too, but the connection cant really have a lot of armor, its really a big weak spot.
exactly what i was thinking, this thing is like those stealth blackhawks they used in zero dark thirty. I think the hopliete and the redeemer are closer to each other than this one.
It looks like they just stole the ship from Dues Ex Human Revolution and made it bigger. I hope the Redeemer rework turns it into a complete gunship with decent cargo module and leave the troop transport to this bird/bug thing. You think this will get a lot of sales? $400 for a little troop transport?
I guess, it will sell well for little teams of real life friend. If f.e a team wanna play space expendables, they can share the costs and then it is OK.
This is the first ship i don't like. No sorry I really hate it. Doesn't look what I've expected and much of the fan made ships looked way cooler imo. I thought its a "boarding ship" there are already much other drop ships. This one has stealth wow. But what ever I don't need to fly it. The rest of the show was pure awesomeness!
DonGonTheOne It is a boarding ship. Its purpose is to get close to other ships unseen and then get its crew on board the unaware vessel. Boarding doesn't mean you have to ram a hole into the other ship to get in. And a ship like that would be more in line with the Vanduul I would think.
DonGonTheOne I agree, but I'll let it pass because of those unique air doors. it'll certainly be closed to a legitimate boarding craft, then a drop ship with them IMHO. I've also heard that they dropped the idea of docking ships, which is sad but understandable..... it'd be incredibly hard to pull off. I don't have a link, or quote to back that up, just word of mouth from informed people.
its really overpriced imo! stats wise it looks less then the redeemer and basically the same function. Size wise its a pretty small ship and costs more then the carrack, reclaimer etc... This actually worry's me that maybe CR is getting greedy! just my opinion though
Nacho Libre that seems to be a theme with alien ships. ....and if that's actually the case, I see a HUGE price hike with the Banu Merchantman, that thing will be giant.
Wow, i like this design.
While I cant afford it, ive immediately fallen in love with this ship. ESPECIALLY because of the FF Copperhead. Really glad to see the design being updated and used in a game -and even better? In star citizen!
I wish we had the drop troop jell from they deployed with in that movie
I was thinking about this thing, and I think it would also make an acceptable search and rescue ship. It's no Cutlass Red, but I could see it being fitted that way. Also, spyplane. What better way to look into hostile (or restricted) zones than a ship that's hard to spot.
I imagine the deployment design would be equally good at extraction. Not a bad friend to have when things get rough as they most certainly will :)
I believe that SnR vessels need to have very powerful active scanners which this ship definitely doesn't have.
I was thinking the same thing. I would not use it for a drop ship. I would use it to scan enemy territory close up and look for vulnerabilities and then report back. Also, stealing small but priceless values from dangerous areas. Finally, I could escort VIP or top general from one location to another. I don't have any money for ships.
I keep buying them though 😅
But for this one I WANNA BE CREW!!
join an org
I got one. I couldn't resist its looks. ...all glory to the hypnotoad.

This reminds me of the clone transport gunships in the clone wars with the side doors
I want a version of this ship with a bed in it and cargo for a single player build
same, the ship is so beautiful and I love the design, but I'm more into Cargo instead of military stuff like droping troops.
I'd also be really good for Sabotage, not for just sneaking in troops, but once boots are on the ground they can sneak around and take out the power plant of a ship/station for their friends outside. Great video. I agree this might be the ultimate pirate raiding ship. Deploy a few squads rapidly and takeover medium to large ships intact.
One of the pics of 2 of them landing and deploying troops made it look like how the stealth Blackhawk might have looked for the Bin Laden raid :3
Khartu-al was supposed to have a conceptually similar cockpit, but theirs was an holographic overlay with a no see-through cockpit.
just placed my order for one had the dropship module for the tali sold that and used the money towards this lovely looking and functional ship :)
Whoever came up with the design of that ship, needs a raise.
Dragon Templar4 until they use 3rd person, lol.
I get why it's in game, but it kinda ruins stealth IMHO.
maybe lock it to first in unsecured space?

great vid. I'd like to remove the jump out boyz , and have cargo instead. I'm thinking smuggling ...
Neat. If you ever need footage of unreleased ships, give us a shout.

I really like this ship brand. I hope there are more with this design. I want a small ship from this brand like the avenger Titan
Cool looking ship.....and that cool factor is, IMHO, the #1 reason it's priced so high. If you could pull out the drop module and replace it with a cargo module this baby would sell 10x better.....heck, I'd buy one if I could pull out the drop module.

Imagine this ship with a roaver in it....pretty outstanding. Or with holding cells for bounty work....pretty outstanding. I could go on and on. Damn cool ship.
Guys you don't understand the point of the price. The ship cost that much because
a) hard limit, that not every person at start has something like that
b) getting ships now isn't for "because i want that ship for that and that!" it is to help funding the game
you will get the ship later ingame for probably much less ingame currency.
It will... :)
Once you have the money for it, buy it and then:
1) Mount it with powerful emp guns
2) Lower the shields to allow full use of emp guns and lower the signature
3) Fill it with pirates (hackers and fighters)
4) Sneak into space in research of a small/middle size ship of your interest
5a) Take the target's ship down with the emp guns
5b) Drop the hackers/fighters crew on the target's ship so they take down weapons and people from the inside
6) Rob the ship and, well, own a new ship for your piracy activities
... ...Mmmh... YEAAAH I'm sure I'm gonna make a lots of friends with that one
Whit the hover pads it will make an excellent ground vehicle
Interesting ship. The design is a carbon copy of the dropship from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
this ship looks just like the copperhead drop ship from final fantasy the spirits within finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Copperhead_(The_Spirits_Within)
COMMANDERHAWK22 wow, sure does!
The general shape is nothing new. seen many concept drawings that looked similar.
Still a cool design.
Heah, like Mr Solo but instead of a Wookie, you have a Tevarin specialist aboard. "Ouch" they say
Do you guys know how long the Prowler would be available for sale?
For the cost, I think it's biggest appeal feels mostly aesthetic. Which is why I got the 600i instead. And I get a rover to go with it.
I think that with the guns, it really screams a hot pickup for the troops on the ground.
This is awesome!
To me it looks like a great dropship, but as for a boarding ship... not so much. For a boarding ship I imagine at least a cutting tube, which could extend and open up the hull of a capital ship. :D That would be neat!
I think the point of this ship is overtaking a ship without damaging it much to add to your fleet, vs the Vanduul ship that does cut into it's opponent but does major damage.
just got one, Its awesome!
oo fun sounding ship
This is my absolute favorite looking ship in the game but it has no use for me sadly. I want to be a cargo hauler and it is highly unlikely that they will make the internal seats removable for cargo space and even though I like the idea of flying it for people, I only have 3 friends with the game so I can't really make use of the seats. I have thought about using it for smuggling/stealthy pirating like STL said but I can't really justify the price since I would have to melt my 3 of my 4 ships for it :(
If you often play together, and have common goals in SC, you can share the cost. Price / 4 is not that bad
Hahaha
Beautiful ship though.
Hell yeah!
upgraded my Terrapin for this...I think it was worth it
Nice ship, massively overpriced.
Ariel Fetters and people still buy it
JACOB1556
To quote PT Barnum, there's a sucker born every minute.
Ariel Fetters when it was announced I bet it would be $390 and my friend said $120. The winner gets paid the price they predicted. I was closer 😌
What people won't understand is that it's mostly expensive for exclusivity and for funding really, that's what they said, expensive ships are not for everyone. Later when game launches you should be able to purchase different ships in game as well not only in web store.
about the ship being fast - it could be that the ship will have terrible acceleration but a high top speed.
Mustang Alpha definitely, but hold on to your cash till it becomes beta. you can get all these ships when the game goes live.
Yes, get a starter pack with a mustang alpha or beta and if you plan to invest some more money later,
get the 85x with LTI, but not as an upgrade but a standalone ship. Later you can apply any ship upgrade
to the 85x and keep the LTI.
Don't even start thinking about buying something on the greymarket. To many scamers and CIG
doesn't tollerate it.
Would be cool but I don't think so. If the area is too hot for landing, land someplace else or do a dust-off maneuver as close to the area as you can.
Looks like the Taru troop transport in Arma 3. Drop ships don't seem like money makers to me and at the price there seems to be better options.
I like the prowler!
Does s.o. know why we cant ccu to herald tho?
wait for drake sale later this week
My friend was having the same problem earlier. Try now, it appears so be showing up in the upgrade list now :)
they told me it was a mistake/delayed.
and it was corrected.
happy ccuing.
I am thinking about getting this. I can use it to smuggle or steal stuff and get away.
Love the design ! But i bought me a CAT ! :) Nice review STL, thank you
I desperately want this ship, but the price is just too much. Any idea how hard it will be to get in game?
You forgot to mention... Bounty Hunting. Its a Bounty Hunters Dream.
Sneak deployment of troops - is only option left :(
there is another "biarding ship" anyways
Dennis Premoli ??? which one?
Alexander Gorbunov One other ship they talked about in the stream, cant remember the name, but they mentioned that it was specifically fro boarding
Dennis Premoli do you mean Drake Cutlass? yeah, that's good choice indeed, except one thing - it won't be a stealth ship.
Alexander Gorbunov yeah...I guess
pair this with a few sabres, the ultimate unseen strike team
I absolutely love it but holy shit that price
Only need one or two per org i'm forcing half of my org mates to chip in for one Edd demands we get a Pegasus when and if its sold so its a must buy for us.
IKR I think it should be around $300
COMMANDERHAWK22 Well its a specialized ship the redeemer can only transport 3-4 unless you cram people in its cargo space. The prowler carries 16 including pilots. So i guess that factors in, my biggest issue is its range and speed.
oh I dont like the price but I still got one.
Redeemer is going to change *alot* because the metrics of redeemer don't match at all with how they are doing ships now and that is why we have not seen it in game yet.
Itll be good for base infiltration
i cant believe this was 1 year ago
6:24 "atleast allow you to compwete your mission" lol
any ideas yet on release date?
GG noice review 07
What ship holds the most cargo that is reasonable to fly with just 1 person? Currently I have the hull b but I am wondering if there is something else I could get.
Freelancer Max is your choice for that. Can be manned by 2, but is fully functional with only 1 pilot.
But doesn't the hull b hold more?
CaptainSimonster Hey, yeah I'm sorry your right. I had the Hull A in mind.
In that case, I think you allready got the
biggest 1 man Cargo Ship. Would make sence, since the Hull series is dedicated
for cargo hauling like no other ship line.
Zelen Ilum I know the hull b is the biggest one specified as 1 crew but I was wondering if there were other ones that are possible to crew with 1 man that hold more cargo
CaptainSimonster Well, you could fly
the Caterpillar allone or with NPCs, but
that wouldn't be as efficient and maybe you
have to make some detours, because the Caterpillar maybe doesn't fit thrue the same jumppoints as the Hull B.
The Caterpillar is in sale at the moment, but its much more expensive then the Hull B.
Whats the point of buying when u can get all these ship in game? but that's hot tho! BTW love your vids.
aaronseeker people are impatient, but they're supporting game development so fuck it right?
if some1 cannot play a lot, he can buy things for real cash and have fun from the very first minute of the game.
Not to mention the combat ships
So buying for cash can be a good idea, even if a player plays 8 hours a day
Think there's any chance to secure a person in this for a Bounty Hunting ship to take criminals alive? With the ability to sneak up on things this would be perfect for "take them alive" bounty hunting.
Got one... It's my private dark bird of prey....
What does a Taveran look like?
check the star citizen twitter
101chickendance Thanks!!!

they look like power rangers.
protoss
dmn STL why did you have to mention smuggling for this ship now I want it but cant afford it lol to day was my pay day but cheque was only $222 CAD :(
Speaking of smuggling narcotics..has anyone heard anything about a potential drug system?
I am not spending more $. It is so beautiful. Okay maybe this one last time ... You make it look so good. I hate you!
Karlofsky, lol
Man....this ship looks so exotic till it ain't funny! I caved in and bought one. I'll make use of it someway somehow LOL
btw, it should fit in the polaris...
;-)
No, unfortunately it's too high. For the moment, at least.
RIP Vanguard Hoplite
Esperia Shrimp
The connection between the engines and the rest of the wings are a HUGE weak spot, just huge, but its a game right? Gotta look cool.
Vtr Gott
Looks to be based off the osprey
Vtr Gott I assume it'll have extra strong shielding so it shouldn't matter, right?
if not when this ship goes live, and gets its damage states updated then we'll have issues.
Raybeze Yeah, you are right, its said to have really strong shields AND strong armor too, but the connection cant really have a lot of armor, its really a big weak spot.
Vtr Gott oh yeah, those arms are gonna fly off real fast. lol
its like the Mustang in that sense, not great design....but it's a game.
It's the republic gun ship of star citizen
makes this the hoplite and redeemee obsolete?
not at all, particularly the Redeemer, which is like a hybrid transport and gunship
Stephen Stine the closest "modern" thing i can imagine is a russian hind
exactly what i was thinking, this thing is like those stealth blackhawks they used in zero dark thirty. I think the hopliete and the redeemer are closer to each other than this one.
and the Hoplite is more a long range ship any way. This is a drop ship to bring troops into a area of conflict.
looks like the V-22 Osprey to me
It looks like they just stole the ship from Dues Ex Human Revolution and made it bigger.
Looks like they stole the exact model of the dropship/troopship from Final Fantasy Spirits Within.
bought mine .. cant wait to fly it and drop my Marines off
What good are these dropships in a 12man instance.......
Well I definitely wouldn't want to board one of these.
GET STAR CITIZEN & 5000 UEC robertsspaceindustries.com/enlist?referral=STAR-WGCP-ZWSL
Got mine for only $195
What about human trafficking like people with crime stats who want to get past authorities
if u want to spent money for the pledge? then yes. if u think the prowler is it worth? so no.
Ship is super cool. Thats it... not interested otherwise in it.
sniff sniff got a cold?
Mmm....another ship fit for a pirate....Good...
This ship looks amazing but feels absolutely worthless.
Too expensive for what you are getting.
Nacho Libre that seems to be a theme with alien ships.
....and if that's actually the case, I see a HUGE price hike with the Banu Merchantman, that thing will be giant.
It can't cut into ship hulls... boooooooooooo
