What a wholesome video and a great initiative. Lots of continuing small steps by ordinary people are what makes an impact, not the occasional bigger effort of a single (industrial) company. Looking especially forward to seeing notpla whenever I'm ordering deep fried stuff instead of the ubiquitus plastic. And if the green house is indeed saving as much water as claimed, then that would be a gamechanger in Africa
Stunning collab to get the message out wider. All three winners will be a boon for the global poorest. The vast amount of garbage dumped in Africa where I now live, especially plastic waste, can be resolved by innovative products such as the non plastic takeaway boxes and the increasing volume of biodegradable packaging. Thumbs up!
Those prize winners deserve every bit of recognition they get and more. All of those ideas are brilliant, and I especially love the stoves. I'm not sure of exactly where you sell them, but I could see them selling in the US by the tens of thousands, and you could charge $50 each at least and use the profits to fund the manufacture of more stoves for other countries. I’m from Kenya & we use those types of stoves across the country so this is a great alternative. I’m making beef broth tomorrow using this exact stove (I bought it after I found out about them through Earthshot) and I’ll leave the bones simmering all day to get a rich broth. It’s wonderful to have cleaner options.

It’s very uplifting. A lot of the climate discourse is either fairly pessimistic or it offers solutions that most people aren’t comfortable with. I’m glad that this video is promoting ways to support those who’d be affected most whilst also keeping it very accessible.

I’m not a huge fan of the royal family, but this recognition is so well-deserved. You guys could easily have gone down the route of just being a goofy group of friends who put out recipes, but you have always made it a point to learn and share about the globally ecosystem around food production and keep conversations about sustainability and affordability at the forefront. I’m guessing Ben, especially, has a lot to do with that because of the types of books he likes reading! Congratulations to all of you on so many years of hard work and can’t wait to see more!

They're not some indifferent and aloof symbol who's lives are dedicated to representing the UK at sports events and in charity. In the UK, the reigning Monarch is still listened to in political affairs, and while their opinions and advice isn't heeded at all times, they're heeded at some times. This entire mechanism in by which the political leaders are obligated to meet and discuss current affair with the monarch needs to go. Even if framed as just being advisory, it still needs to go.

I’m not a huge fan of the royal family, but this recognition is so well-deserved. You guys could easily have gone down the route of just being a goofy group of friends who put out recipes, but you have always made it a point to learn and share about the globally ecosystem around food production and keep conversations about sustainability and affordability at the forefront. I’m guessing Ben, especially, has a lot to do with that because of the types of books he likes reading! Congratulations to all of you on so many years of hard work and can’t wait to see more!

Although I will say as individuals I dont think they are awful people particularly William everything I have seen of him he seems relatively down to earth and nice given his upbringing but that could easily be an act

The problem is with the institution. The absolute worst and sketchiest part is that the reigning Monarch does actually impact politics. They're not some indifferent and aloof symbol who's lives are dedicated to representing the UK at sports events and in charity. In the UK, the reigning Monarch is still listened to in political affairs, and while their opinions and advice isn't heeded at all times, they're heeded at some times. This entire mechanism in by which the political leaders are obligated to meet and discuss current affair with the monarch needs to go. Even if framed as just being advisory, it still needs to go.
