I appreciate how fresh his interpretations are even if I don’t agree with them. We need more of that in classical music. We need to be more open minded :)
I'm not surprised at all, as Lang Lang sometimes plays fast pieces at significant slower tempi than usual or slow / andante pieces at very slow tempi, even like largo. His choices of tempi are strange to me
This last movement first motif takes off and never touches ground, here Lang Lang labours laboriously taxiing but never even getting engines firing for take off. Try this this version and hear the difference: ruclips.net/video/MeJUju-VIAo/видео.html
May be this was the pace Bach played on the harpsichord. If so it’s appropriate speed. He only composed 2 pieces for piano. Anyone has recording of his playing ?
Quite nice (though a bit erratic) the way he hops around in bringing out the imitative voices. At least it breaks up the perpetual motion of the piece. I'd like to see how he handles the first movement which is equally relentless.
Weird … unnecessary posing , wrong voices conduction, he is not conected to the piece, he is conected to his acting. He is a huge pianist but sometimes this happens in his performances
Osceno, totale assenza di musicalità.. per suonare Bach non basta solo fare note tipo frullatore ma é necessario capire qualcosa di complesso.. qui non si é capito nulla se non i soldi
Classical Concerto whatever could you find disgusting about this, where you watching what I was, Lang Lang is so accomplished, and so enjoying the performance, as so many were, don’t get it!
Perfectly fine people can find a particular artist not to their liking. Even strongly so. But only a certain type of person will go to that artist's RUclips performance, which presumably they would prefer to leave alone in favor of one of the millions of other performances available, and announce to all of the people appreciating the performance how disgusting it is. You are that type of person, I see.

Exactly!
Agreed! We've been playing this stuff for centuries now. It's time for some new perspectives even if things go outside the "traditional" lines. :)
U don't understand classical music, the enjoyment is not like pushing everything not natural.
@@victorwong201 I am a classical pianist. I understand it just fine::)
Who knew Lang Lang could do this? Fantastic! Steady, peaceful tempo, all voices so clearly heard. And no crazy right pedal. And such joy!
I completely agree.

Me
I simply love to see the joy he emanates. It's like sunshine coming out of the keyboard. ☺️
Amazing. Bravo Lang Lang.
What a beautiful interpretation. The voices came out perfectly and there was such evenness to the playing. Much to envy!
Vernünftiges Tempo.Gut.
This is so weird that I hear half Mozart + half Beethoven sound in Bach's music lol
hi Lang Lang
I bet he can never stop grinning
He looks the same after farting in C.

Sorry, not a fan of lang lang’s interpretation
Even thou it's lang lang playing that performance isn't "lang lang" enough...
Starts well then drags the tempo way back. Struggles to play a consistent tempo.
not sure what you expect. This isn't Mickey Gilley or Elton Jon. Wish I could have studied with YOU.
Id say it backwards. Starts too fast and ends well

Un poco sobradete, ¿eh?

I have to say this is a very bad performance~~~
