Mark miller is a god of song writing I did not know his story till Bobby bones aired it.... My mother loved this song and got me hooked... Mark miller and the rest of Sawyer brown your music is timeless!!!!

I can remember watching these guys on star search. Then I got to see them in concert at a local fairgrounds in the late '90's. I love every minute of the show.

The lead singer has more energy than most but I truly love this song..
To me, it is nothing but a musical industry injustice that this butt kicking awesome band was never once even nominated for the CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year awards. (shaking my head in sheer and SEVERE disgust)

The first time I heard of Sawyer Brown, was wen I use 2 work as a housekeeper , he came on in CMTvideo,and he was singing the race is on. I had 2 dtop what I was doing and watched him sing and dance, I tried 2 keep up with his dance, I stopped and just watched him sing and dance. Man I fell n love with him. WOW!!!

I don't know whats more strange, the fact this song is decent or the fact that a wow & fluttery VHS copy of this is all that exists. I have literally never heard this song since at least 1994 in any public setting that I can remember.... odd.
There is one quick shot of Mark after the 2:31 mark of this clip and whenever I see it, I only have one question...could the man be anymore of a lethal weapon? (big smile)

I envy you. I have only seen them twice and the first time took place at a venue that didn't have as big of a stage. That was in either 1993 or 1994. My second time seeing them was in 2005 and sadly I was way too far away and so I pray that I am able to see them at least one more time some day.

P.S. Okay technically I've seen them three times, but my very first time was when I was only three or four and it was only for a few minutes because all that I did was cry over how loud the music was. (embarrassed)

This weekend is the gatornationals in Florida Gainesville I'd love to go 10 NHRA bent again a cost a lot of money to do that cost at least $2,500 to go to one you got to have hotel room and then you got to have a ticket to get into the race but every ticket is a pit pass and I would love to see Sawyer Brown on John Force's cars

I remember when this video was being shot. It was a big to do. You couldn't get downtown at all, (not like there was any reason to go downtown then). And then half of the shots of the town were cut out in post production. It really made it seem like a big build up for nothing. Good song by a good band though.
