From Masham town hall, Leeds University, Harrogate conference centre to Newcastle City Hall for their Xmas shows my friend & I followed these guys through the late ‘70’s & ‘80’s. Every concert was fun, entertaining & exceptionally well rehearsed, musicianship was outstanding. Alan was taken from us far too early. So sad
I've seen the full Alan Hull docu from 2021 but do you remember a small docu/segment on TV bout Alan and his songwriting, I think it was in the 70's maybe early 80's, they filmed in his hometown/studio and he talked bout his songwriting
A nice piece of Lindisfarne history. Great quality for the time. Bloody hell it's 40years old, man !!! One for the collectors, though, in my pompous opinion. I'd rather listen to lower quality "proper" live stuff that contains the essence of the band. If only the BBC would let us have high-def access to the Christmas Concert at Newcastle City Hall.....

Jesus H Christ! ….I simply forgot how bloody marvellous these guys were…closed my eyes and I was there back in the 70’s again ….

I hadn't realised that Alan was such an accomplished pianist
one of the most underrated bands in the world
indeed

Brilliant gig. Alan sounds a bit like Ronnie Lane, another great artist..
This is a gem! Perfect imperfect! From the time when music was not autotuned and the perfomances were not streamlined to fit the marked.... love it!
Wonderful! Saw them in 1980 doing a similar show.
Greatly under rated, great English band.
Cheers that was brilliant , still the best band I've ever seen play live.
With the lovely bass ending to Lady Eleanor
Seen the original band 70s & still listen to them. RIP Alan ( from Benwell)
fantastic to hear again after all these years
Seen them recently (only Rod remains).. Still a class act.
This was the era when they restarted touring and I was so glad to have seen them in Cardiff Uni.
Absolutely lovely concert
Great band Love Run for home
Total brilliance!
Fantastic recording of these injustly forgotten guys. Although, it would be nice to see it without the advertising.
How professional a performance was that , can See why they were so big for a while ,
