A great pick me up video Kevin. Looking at it has helped brighten up a dull wet evening over here in Ireland. It's absolutely bucketing down rain here. ☔🌧 Don't complain about the heat Kevin. Enjoy it while it lasts. Keep those videos rolling in Kevin. Well done. 😎👍
Nice one kevin Gumbet has a beach if i remember, its small so you would get all videos done fairly quick but could have grown simce i was there cheers sgain
I need to stop watching holiday vids. Not been anywhere this year and quite depressed at the thought that WInter is just around the corner again after such an appalling summer in the UK. I wish I was young and brave enough to travel independently - it looks great.
I think inflation has gripped Turkey. On my last trip there I was lucky to find local bars full of local people with live Turkish music and dancing for all. I prefer that to the usual disco style . Gumbet is a clubland but not my style, more for youngsters. I used to eat the fresh fish which is bolok or similar rude name! I did also love the baked potatoes fluffed up with a fork and cheese.
Went bodrum about 8 times over the years, got to expensive, gumbet was alot cheaper, they had a camel on that promenade I took me and the kids on.looks more upmarket than years ago it was a 4 hour coach drive from airport years ago now only 45 minutes, bodrum airport has opened
The only thing that I didn't like about Turkey, is that the local market sellers pester you,for a sale. Bodrum was lovely, but very hot, that's why people go out later at night.
Do you pay for stuff in Turkish Lira Kev. I've heard that the locals don't want it. Prefer 🇺🇸 Dollars or Euro's. Inflation is incredibly high. Regards from Chester
They took lira when I went last year, that's all we used... You feel rich though lol because of the exchange rate giving you so many notes... They don't have the same culture with using a card like the UK or mainland Europe but there was a few places we paid with by card also... The tipping culture is massive... They expect a tip for everything all the time which I'm not a fan of but I gave tips anyway.

Nice promenade walk, €2.50 for a beer & lounger on the beach sounds like a great deal!
It really is!
We just arrived back to Ireland.had a week in Gumbet/bodrum
It's so beautiful this video doesn't do it justice
But a lot of poverty!
Lots more videos coming I cover every street
Nice video. Not too long back from Marmaris. Prices not too bad for a beer and then use of sunbeds etc.

Balık is the Turkish word for Fish. Sounds like ‘Baaluk’
Okay there Kevin, a wee Beer and a wee Deck chair thrown in, that’s okay 👍 get the Beers in .
Goombay used to have a dance band !!!!!
Your comment brought tears to my eyes seven to be exact.

Hi. I think the cruise ship is Marella Discovery
Thanks
Are the shopkeepers aggressive away from the marina area ?

@@ScotsmaninTenerife Thanks surprised at that.

@@davidholgate123 Thanks for the information
They have to take lira as it’s their currency don’t let them try and make you pay euro or sterling. Chancers.
Bodrum looking good.
