    How can one provide proof of accommodation if you have no Visa to enter the country in the first place? Seems weird to me

    • @trying2adult
      @trying2adult  3 года назад +1

      You have to organize accomodation for yourself before entering the country. There are a couple of websites you can use to find a place to rent or you can reach out to an immigration agency to help you as they specialize in these types of situations.

    • @trying2adult
      @trying2adult  3 года назад +2

      Oh yeah it most definitely is. Especially considering that you are outside the country, it can be pretty easy to scam you. That’s why immigration agencies can come in handy, but those can be a bit pricey.
      I also just realized that alternatively, you can get a Visitors visa or a tourist visa which shouldn’t take long to come out, then visit the country for a few days or weeks to organize some accommodation yourself maybe? This might be a good option if you don’t know anyone here and you skeptical about organizing things online.

    Is there universal health care in Cape Town ?

    • @trying2adult
      @trying2adult  3 года назад +1

      Technically Yes. South Africa has universal health care, however, it's not the best health care and it's short-stuff and under-funded, corruption, etc.
      However, the private health care sector is very good and you should be able to find decent options at reasonable prices too. Look into some of the most popular medical insurance companies like Discovery and Momentum to get a rough idea of what you should expect. Perhaps I should research on this more it could make an interesting video.

    • @trying2adult
      @trying2adult  3 года назад

      So sorry to hear about that. Which version of the CSV did you have before you applied for renewal?
      From my understanding, if you get the one year CSV (the one which you use to look for a job) and you are not able to get a job within that one year, they won't give you another CSV again. In such a case I think you have to apply with a job offer in order to get the CSV. Nevertheless, your rejection should have come with details about why they rejected you. You may be able to reach out to VFS or the Embassy to give you details on why you were rejected.

    As I understand and please correct me if i am wrong here before applying for critical skills visa, need to validate the educational documents via SAQA and then get professional body to validate the professional experience. Then apply for visa
    So now for me both the steps are done, However when i want to file the visa application I am facing few doubts
    I believe for critical skills visa ,one can enter south africa without job or search for job before entering the country.If I want to search for a job before entering the country then while filing the visa application what should i do for the following questions on the visa application form
    1.Expected date of arrival into country -Do I put an approx date when I intend to enter south africa
    2.Expected return date from country -I am confused here since I am not sure how long it might take for me to get a job so what date do i enter here
    Also since i intend to search for a job i still dont have employer to sponsor my visa I assume i leave those fields blank
    But any inputs on Q1 and Q2 would be much appreciated

      I can't say for sure because I never had to do the SAQA step since my degree is from a South African University. I think you need SAQA accreditation in order to register with a professional body. I would imagine the professional bodies rely on SAQA to verify that your degree is actually a valid degree. However, it's best to contact the professional body themselves and verify the documentation you need to apply.

I have a friend who did bacc and submitted her application in Sa but they never asked for their experience letter .
      My question is will this discredit my application in any way
      2. When you apply for a visa in Zim do they process the visa at the embassy or they take the applications to DHA SA in Pretoria?

      Oh yeah VFS does that unfortunately... I was also told it wasn't necessary to include Reference letters on my application but VFS insisted that I add them... I ended up just adding a few because fortunately I did have the letters. I'm not sure just how much this will affect your application. However, VFS are meant to be the middleman to facilitate the applications, they are not actually the people who process your visa so hopefully the Embassy/Home Affairs are in sync with what SAICA is saying to you. I have come across a few accounting students who got work visas with little to no work experience so I guess it's possible.
      2. Sorry I'm also not sure about this one unfortunately.

    Hello , the job that you get should be in relation to your critical skill ?

    • @trying2adult
      @trying2adult  4 года назад

      Hey there... Yeah kind of. The job should be a critical skill... and you should be qualified to do that critical skill job.... so for example, you can't apply for a critical skills visa as an engineer, and then get a job as an accounting clerk.

      Foreigners are allowed to own property in SA you do not have to be a resident. However, if you want a home loan (mortgage) then that's where problems start. If you NOT a citizen or a permanent resident then most banks will not give you a loan, if you are lucky, some banks will ask for a 50% deposit for the home loan. If you are a permanent resident then most banks can give you loans of up to 100% depending on your credit history.

    Hi, do you know if it is necessary to have experience in the area of the job in the critical list of South Africa? I will graduate in June of next year in chemical engineer and I would like to know if you think if would be possible to me apply for the Critical Skill Visa in the next year without have any experience? I just did a research work in my university, but I did not have and opportunity to work in my area in my city until now.

      Hey Kraft. So sorry missed your comment.
      First of all, if you studying in South Africa you can actually straight away apply for Permanent Residence. Check out my article on this here - trying2adult.com/applying-for-south-african-critical-skills-permanent-residence-permit/
      It is very hard to get ECSA to give you the documentation you need if you don't have work experience... However, research work sometimes does count as work-experience if it is significant, industry research (I used my research to supplement my work experience). Unfortunately I don't have much insights into how people get around this issue but I recommend you reach out to the these forums (they helped me a lot):
      - www.expatforum.com/expats/south-africa-expat-forum-expats-living-south-africa/
      - Facebook Group called "South African Visa Forum"
