I'm SO glad I ordered the mini-connector packs! For anyone thinking about getting them - get a few packs. They're inexpensive, and it's worth it to have extra connectors. Getting more than one pack is the way to go if you're considering different approaches to your design, or are planning multiple projects at once.

Another reason to order more than one pack is because not all of the mini connectors are usable (until you clean/round the holes).

WOW great video, I did however slow the video down to a slower speed as the guy spoke to fast for me. Mind you I wear Hearinf Aids, so a slower video speech speed was better for me. I am Super happy that I recently found Maker Pipe fittings. 👍

First time builder here. I’m using 1/2” emt and ordered the 90 degree and 4-way connectors with spacers. While measuring the amount to subtract to account for the connectors I put the spacers in the connectors as you did the 3/4” emt. When measuring as you did I am coming up 1/4” shorter than your measurements. 1-3/4” on the 90 and 2-1/2” on the 4-way. Are you just allowing room for adjustment or am I missing something?

I am seeing the same thing. My critical measurement is from the end of one 3/4" EMT conduit to the edge of the next in a right-angle connector. I put two pieces of pipe in an open connector and thought I saw 3/4", rather than the 1" mentioned in the video. Today, I attached a right-angle connector, bolted it down, and re-measured. The actual distance added from the end of one pipe to the edge of the other is midway is 1/8'" less than 1", 1/8" more than my previous measurement of 3/4". Bottom line: It's adds a solid 7/8" to the inside dimension. (For the outside dimension, I did indeed see 2".)

What's the connector list for this build? Maybe you could just overlay it at like 3:18

Hi there, thanks for the comment. That desk uses
      (6) 90 Degree Connectors
      (3) T Connectors
      (1) 4-Way Connector
      (1) 180 Degree Connector
Let me know if you need some help knowing where each of them is used in the build.

We have connectors designed for 3/4" Trade Size EMT which is .922" outside diameter and we have connectors for 1" Trade Size EMT which is 1.163" outside diameter. Thanks for the comment

How many inches does the ADJUSTABLE ANGLE HINGE CONNECTOR add to the pipe length? I can't find that on the website. My estimate is close to 3" but wanted to confirm (hinges arrive on Monday :) ) Thanks!

(context: I'm building a foldable soccer goal and the distance I'm looking for is when the 2 pipes are perpendicular, making a 90 degree angle)

I just measured and it looks like it adds 2" to the end of conduit when it is at a 90 degree angle.

Good luck with your build! That sounds like a cool project!

What is the scale on the mini models??

    • @MakerPipe
      @MakerPipe  2 года назад

We don’t have an exact scale for them unfortunately. Thanks for the question

@@MakerPipe Alas! Coffee stirrer connectors are a great idea to show a design to the spouse, investors, etc. And to see how many connectors & conduit pieces are needed. But one of the beauties of a scale model is the ability to determine dimensions that are difficult to calculate, in addition to visualizing the design. A known-scale set of tubes and connectors would be great for that. (It could be a product!)
