For potters in the eastern half of the United States, the most widespread species of juniper in this region is eastern red cedar (Juniperus virginiana). It grows all the way up to the headwaters of the Mississippi river in Minnesota west to the panhandle of Oklahoma. Where I live in Ohio, this plant is commonly found in abandoned farm fields, the edges of managed prairies, and along highways.
Howdy Will-O ! That video had quite a performance , Yu , yur “Pets” & Yur Bowl ! I shared yur video with my Girlfriend , as she really likes watching pottery videos & all Pets Keep up the great videos , as I’m still learning from every potter I can come across & watch ! 🤠
Glad to hear both of you enjoyed the video! You'll definitely be seeing more of Cibola and Red Paw in future videos! Thanks for the feedback and for watching!!
Good video. I dig your hat. You can use other materials besides pine needles. Just depends on what you have around you. Regular leaves or small pieces of wood scraps with too. I like the mascots too. I use mulberry because it's a hardwood and I have two mulberry trees. I also add little bits of eucalyptus to help start the fire because I have that tree too!! They burn easy. That's a problem with ca right now.
Thanks for the kind comment! Glad you enjoyed my new mascots! That's very true! You can use dead grass, wood scraps or anything that'll produce carbon. Thanks for adding that information! I bet those mulberry tree branches burn really hot. Thanks for watching!
What did you think of the results? Let me know your thoughts!
