I'm 62....learned by ear at 9....been playing/practicing all my life as you say in the intro (learning tons of songs by ear)....and I still suck. But, getting better as I learn some theory, triads, inversions, playing over chords, jazz chording, etc....having fun. Regardless, love your playing and channel!!
I am 66 and have practised a great deal and am not great but have certainly gotten better over the years. I just keep telling myself to relax and always have fun. If it is not fun than it makes no sense to even play. Take care & keep playing.
65 here and similar story to yours and @rayross997. To me it's just fun and a hobby. Yes, I'm getting better with the help of a few on the 'net. Maybe I'll record a nice song just before my time is up here on this planet. But, to me, it's the journey not the end result. Cheers all.
I could watch Jack play all day…he makes it look so smooth and effortless!
When you understand there are levels which personally I am never going to get to, but will have a lot of fun trying. Thanks Mr Ruch for all you do for us guitar players.
Great lesson Jack! Love the way you break it all down. Thank you for all that you do for us.
Now we know what you bought this 335, Jack. It was to play THIS! What a GREAT solo!
Jack. This is a real help. Opens up a lot of doors. Thanks
I saw your masterclass Monday video, and loved it - your approach was spot on, chords first and all of the caged inversions, then arpeggios, and then scales. Great template! thanks for sharing!
Great, unusual choice of solo! Masterfully played, as always. And greatly appreciate the minimalist background with fantastic overall colour sense (goes so well with your guitar). Superb explanation, pacing and presentation. Thank you!
Great lesson Jack! Loving' the new course with Brett Papa too! 👍
As an intermediate I always wonder. How long should I spend on stuff like this? One session, a weeks worth, a month. It seems no matter how long I analyze something. I lose it all over time. My retention is really bad. And I find myself re-learning things I should just know. I hope this makes sense?
Thank you very much for that lesson and backing track!!!
Awesome education as always, sooooo smooth 👏👏
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day Jack 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Digging it
Super great.
Same question, a lesson on how and what you use for recording your tracks. Thanks
Love watching these lessons and noticing how relaxed the right hand is.
They are missing double feel in jazz phrasing. Sorry for my english
Are there any coupons for your courses at Brett Papa's?
Thanks 🙏
What is your guitar recording setup?
