And you’re right, he shouldn’t be upset or angry about it. I’d love to not have to answer to the council. He can now pursue his targets without interruption. After his fathers death he was raised by templars. Kinda like Haythem was too. His father Edward Kenway was killed by a Templar but still was raised as a Templar. But Arno didn't didn't stay Templar he decided to stay as an assassin. Would be interesting to see him as a Templar too. He could've done the same as Haythem. Joined templars, Kills Shay(if even possible) like haythem did berge and followed the order. Maybe then Elise would've lived and thing would've been different. I did like the love story between them and would've loved to see a duo between them. Kinda like AC Syndicated where you could play as Jacob or Eve. Except its Arno and Elise but a Templar story.

That's the irony of assassins and templars organizations. Assassins claim that they fight for freedom and justice, but severely limit the former for their members and often resort to tactics and methods having nothing to do with the latter. Templars, on the other hand, are presented as an opressive force striving only for their own profit and power, but they often resolve crises and help the society and their members are relatively free.

The assassins kicked Arno out because he joined the assassins for revenge. Well, most of the greatest assassins became assassins because they wanted revenge like Ezio and Connor. And let's not forget that the founders of Assassins, Bayek and Aya/Amunet worked in the dark to avenge their son, Khemu.

So what if Arno simply decided to join the Templars after this? He knows all their sectets and could be a possible threat to their cause.

Honestly, the colonial assassins during Achilles time as the mentor were hot blooded arrogant idiots. The French Assassins prior to Arno’s exile and reinstatement were a bunch of cowards. On top of that don’t they also realize that the 3rd Creed “never compromise the assassins brotherhood” they nearly broke that by firing Arno. He could’ve defected or started his own order. The British Assassins prior to the Frye twins taking control were also cowards doing absolutely nothing

The one thing I liked with the story is how it had the Templars leading the Revolution. You would think it would be the Assassins, with the whole freedom and liberty thing, but we find out its actually a power grab by the Templars to overthrow an Assassin-allied government. It's a neat little plot twist

Is it... is it bad that I actually agree more with Pierre? That it is only when the Assassins get mired down in bureaucracy and small minded politics like this that they fail so spectacularly. What was the downfall of the Colonial Brotherhood? Trying to become a government. The Levantine Brotherhood? Trying to become a government. Altïar had one goal, to make the assassins an army of the shadows. And it only fails when it tries directly trying to run government and becoming to damn big to control effectively. That was the fall of every brotherhood it seems. The Templars are the enemy, a diametrically Ideologically opposed enemy if that. Therefore they cannot be reasoned with, bargained with, and therefore must be defeated. In a battle of ideals, Any deviation from that goal of having your ideology be adopted and utilized by the general population will inevitably will lead to the destruction of your own group. Plain and simple.

It's not about compromising who they are, it's about the organization losing its way. Pierre IS correct, the assassins ARE an army. Sure, they work in politics via proxy, but when a political hierarchy replaces the military structure of the assassins, it brings with it bureaucratic red tape and ineffective leaders. Who were the greatest assassin leaders? Bayek, Altïar, Ezio, Connor. All of whom were men of action who kept the goal simple, defeat the templars. The assassins essentially must work upon trotskyist framework (only replace destroying capitalism with defeating templars.) A global army that's goal is to defeat the Templars. And petty beurocracy only gets in the way of that.

Unity had the best visuals, graphics and mechanics than any other AC games.
Assassins Creed 1 and Unity felt more fuller and bigger framed than the other ones which felt more small and arcadey.
It's like Assassins creed 2 to Odyssey had a grid like movement mechanic while Assassins creed 1 and unity had a more fluid movement mechanic, sort of like if you were to get hit by a moving object on Unity and Assassin's Creed 1, they'd fall over and tumble, while with AC 2 to Odyssey would have them only slide a bit.
Unity's environments looked nearly photo-realistic at times, the combat mechanics were natural and satisfying to get kills with, the fabrics were so detailed you can see the strands and patterns within them. The Lighting was close to real life, the world felt more larger scale than AC2 to Odyssey, the climbing and parkour was so very real looking, the way Arno moved and climbed.
People hated on Unity for the bugs when it first launched and only kept hating it because it was the popular thing to do. But as Unity is now, it was a very fantastic game, very much advanced than the other AC games even ones after it.

Arno being exiles from the Brotherhood always pisses me off.
Firstly, Arno know the location and the mean to enter the Assassin hideout, not to mention every Assassin grand masters. Secondly, If Arno wanted to join the Templar which he have full reason to do i.e the love of his life is a Templar and the Assassin have been treating Arno like a child, Arno could have gone full Shay Cormac and entirely destroy the Paris Brotherhood with his knowledge and the Templar resource. The Brotherhood should have straight up execute Arno instead of merely ban him from their treehouse club.

It can have two different endings & some choices that affect the gameplay. I've felt like this since I first played AC3. I find myself agreeing with the Templars at times & wanting to better understand their side of things besides their speeches before death.

@thomas brady the gameplay could be the same in a sense of combat, abilities etc they showed us when controlling Haytham (I think thats his name) from AC3 that Templars do pretty much the same thing as Assassins in terms of eagle vision & skillset. We can ignore the "choices that affect the gameplay/story" & just have it be the typical linear story but just being either an Assassin or Templar. The missions would have to be different in that for a particular mission you (as an Assassin) have to kill a Templar agent & you (as a Templar) have to save the agent etc. It could definitely work & I think revitalize the series bcz every game I watch seems to get worse & worse to me. Idk wtf this new one thinks it is but it is not Assassin's Creed for sure.
