Marlon crediting his brothers as his heroes and idols growing up makes sense. Naturally as children you will look up to your parents and your older siblings. The Wayans are Comedy Royalty. Honestly appreciate each and every one of them.
As you get older, you realize your biggest influences are literally around you.

Damon is probably the most underrated comic in History. Damon is hands down top 5 for me str8 up easily. Marlon keeps getting better and better if he keeps going no telling where he’ll land.

He’s humble! I like him, he’s stupidly funny. I like the fact that he’s given credits to the legends who came before and paved the way for him. That’s cool and it spoke valumes.
Here is the thing about being older you help your siblings out and have them avoid all the mess you went through, in return they give you that respect and acknowledgement of what you are trying to do for them. It's nice to seem him give so much credit to his family

I’ve been a massive fan of the Wayans family ever since In Living Color 30+ years ago. I’m a 42 year old white man and as a kid, I didn’t see that show as a “black show” or as a mostly black cast… I just saw it as a f**king hilarious show that helped shaped my comedic taste to this very day. I adored everyone on that cast. To see Marlon act so incredibly racist and hateful towards his cousin for being white and blame him for the actions of his great-grandfather makes me incredibly disappointed and disgusted. How the hell is that man responsible for what his ancestor did??? No one is responsible for what someone did in the past. I guarantee Marlon has ancestors that did horrific things just like pretty much everyone on the planet. No one is responsible for what some relative did before they were born! And went to work ASAP after that, couple hours later. Bc I just needed the distraction. Better than sitting home crying my eyes out for a week straight lol.
