Why does PES ruin everything that they had in their previous games? Formation screens etc all look way better in previous editions. It's really sad to see them removing good features over and over again.

Sensational game.PES's roots ended here. When patched properly,it is the most realistic football game ever produced.
After PES 2014 was patched up thru the DLCs, the gameplay and the AI was not bad at all. The problem was that it was released incomplete and with errors. That tarnished the reputation of PES 2014 and also of Konami's. Good video.
I always said PES14 is the best most realistic football game ever made and i always get so much hate for it. After 2015 Konami just messed up the feel of the game. 14 and 15 were amazing for me. Especially 14 amazing physics.
Best looking pes game for me. The in-game player models feel more life like(movement, running, walking) , newer PES editions feel more robotic in comparison. Every player on pes 20 just looks and runs the same on the pitch.

2014 certainly had its problems but in terms of realistic momentum, foot planting and movement it was unmatched. Imagine if they kept 2014 as the base and continued to build on that.. imagine what 2020 would be like.
I remember getting this game a month early and it was far better an less broken then the game on release date

This is what I was always talking about, PES 2014 had the best potential and they ruined it, it looks so realistic, even more than PES 2020, yet when you get to play it sh*t hits the fan... BEST BALL PHYSICS AND BEST PASSING ANIMATIONS, PERIOD! Just look at that crossing animation on second goal, amazing! And one more thing - this is the only PES that has 360 degree sprints!
The problem is when we press shoot or pass, the player still does nothing to shoot or pass... Otherwise the running and dribbling are amazing... I dont know why people don't notice this, this is still my best PES/football game... Until then I hope PES 2022 will top this one even better
I still remember how shocked i was when i see the leap from PES 2013 to PES 2014. Because from the previous years, not a lot of graphics updates besides face updates(if you know what I'm saying). Ah, good memories
Realistic pes game ever. But it got bad reviews due to famous players too have same faces. But when compares to another pes, gameplay is so pure and two players fighting for a ball is way more realisitic.

I remember playing this demo and think how incredible it was especially coming from FIFA. What struck me the most was how players like Pirlo and Ozil played almost exactly like their real life counterpart

Lolz. That's a joke. Fifa has this gray filter shit, but PC users can use sweetfx or reshade.
Pes 14 was good gameplay wise and it looked great for the time. It wasn't a finished game of course which was an issue, the ML was bare bones and no rain of course.
The unique thing about pes 14 is the player spirit during the game. If you look closely there is some sort of heat map on each player besides their condition. During the game, the players performance affects their spirit meaning if say Rooney misses a chance of a goal, his spirit decreases but if 5 mins later he scores a goal, that will boost his spirit.
Obviously, if the spirit is low or blue, the player won't play well but high spirit or red will enhance the players performance.
Just amazing! The movements are very smooth and realistic. I forgot how good this game was. Even in the penalty, the goalie dived even better than pes 20. This pes 14 looks better than fifa 20.
Pes 20 is the best simulation of football yet.

What's a penalty ? That's a big problem in pes games since forever. I've played 90+ matches and had 1, just 1 penalty ?
Who else is og and remembers him watching the fifa 14 and pes 14 trailers and thinking the pes would be amazing and the Fifa would be boring, it that pes was one of the worst and that Fifa was one of the most played and loved

Why does playing at night look so much visually better than pes 2020's yellow tint?
The tint is from Europa League matches, they've kinda overdone it

Well this is Allianz Arena. I’m pretty sure it is like this in other stadiums as well. Depends on the stadium I think. For example This is like Dortmund’s stadium that is slightly darker and similar to pes 2014. But I think the lighting in 20 is more preferred even though it’s not perfect

The camera angle at goal kicks, the freedom of the ball, it was all better
Player models are fantastic looks like they really paid attention to a players body, you can tell its Pirlo for example from a mile of just buy the way hes body looks ect.. now its like all players have the same models just in different heights with a face on I want these player models back.

It was a delight to take control of Nacional and try to win Libertadores with Alvaro Recoba in this game.
Does anyone remember Pes 11 Master League Online (MLO) ?
No micro transactions. Just a slow but rewarding grind. My best football game experience ever. Pes 12 and 13 had the same concept but those games got ruined by the speed merchant trait.
Really wish they would scrap MyClub and go back to mlo

I remember when this game came out, I played on my friend's gamer PC, 1080p .. My eyes glowed and the game was hella fun.
It was my first pes, I loved it so much, trying to beat bayern on superstar 😂
I feel like they focused too much on the graphics and player models and movement on this game. They didn't spend enough time playing it and testing it. Because the gameplay was very raw, the tactics also didn't really work well and the shots, especially one on one were just hilarious, especially the animations.
I feel like Pes has made great games over the years. But they seem to have amnesia. In older Pes games, like 5 and 6 the game was always fluid, no excessive cutscenes and skipping. You'd take a quick goal kick and see the players still trying to get back to their positions. Celebrations were fluid. Cutscenes didn't magically force them to a different spot for a specific celebration
I never noticed before that,in this game, Bayern wears their usual League kit, not their European kit. You can tell which which because of where the player name is on the back. On the European kit it's up by the sholders like a traditional kit, for their League Kit the player name is on the bottom while the team name is up top.
I played iss pro evolution on PS1 last night and still loved it. Love classic PES!!

I recently started playing this in PS3 again,since a few guys hyped it on Evo web.
I haven't enjoyed Pes since 17,18;was ok (no physicality though) but I really enjoy this for what it is.
No TS dumbing down your players,no overpowered and crazy ass scripting from the CPU.
Pace is quite good, I'm really liking Pes again.
Bought it a few years back along with 10-11-12-13 and a used PS3.

Although it causes response issues, the animations on this are second to none. If they could figure out the right balance it could look really good. Great animations aren't all that's important but they do add another level of immersion. Even the animations in 2020 are more robotic than this.

One change I want for future Pes:
Return to the old formula for stats: Gray (Worst) - Green - Yellow - Orange - Red (Best) it was kinda iconic for Pes games imo
The players seem to move about the pitch more when off the ball. This is one of the things I liked about PES
A few months ago I picked it up for my collection and I wish my old 360 had wifi to download the patches, but I also played it back in the days on ps3 (I think it was a free PSPlus game) and it wasn't too bad with updates
How do you play always at night in master league? If i am playing under sunlight, it's very uncomfortable for my eyes if the ball is around the area where the sun is shining
Like all PES games the demo is the best version then they brake it.
Demos are to get the diehards to jump on board. The final release is to make sure every casual gamer and pick-up and play FIFA type to stay with the game. They know the die hard will come back every year because FIFA is shite and we want a good football game.
I have to say, I've never played a football game where controlling a player felt like the real thing than when I played with Juventus and was controlling Pirlo in PES 15, pinging lofted through balls all over the pitch.

The demo build was the best iteration of football ever. If it only had more animations and varied shooting it would beat any pes, also there is so much more freedom in defence that whole engine was destroyed, u could jostle tackle, push someone off you

this whole thing of Konami switching to Fox Engine for the 8th gen was a pretty big shot in the foot. not only they lost Kojima because of that, they also didn't quite know how to work with it and found out that its high demands meant they had to cut a lot of things from the game (such as the stadium editor and even the rain). if they had kept the engine they'd been using for the previous four games and just refined it for the next gen, this game could've been so much better.
in fact, have you noticed that since the X360/PS3 era, this transition's been shaky every time? it's not the eye-catching beauty it used to be until the early days of the PS2.

Maybe you should start from PS1, I know that there are a load of ISS Pro Evo 2 mods. That's a really fun game. Maybe even play ISS Deluxe for fun lol. I liked PES 11 for full freedom, you really had to concentrate on what you did and aim the passes. WII versions of PES were fun too.
I think it'd be great if you could play all PES games from 2015 to 2019 and in the end give your opinion on which game was the most fun.
I've been playing PES 13 with pass support 1 for a year or two and it's much bigger freedom.
After a few patches this game became actually very enjoyable

Last week i was playing PES 2016 on my PS4 and it is a great game.
Really don't know why they removed the possibililty to do low driven shots and downward by pressing triangle, instead developing the inintuitive advanced shot
The best thing in PES2014 is/was...COACH MODE
Find yourself..
I always use it during Master League.
I can go to toilet or do what ever I want..But the game still ONgoing..And It handle by COACH(CPU).If I want to play it back, just switch off COACH mode.
Not like current pes..Before match select coach mode, and cannot override it till match ended.

Your first goal shows exactly why pes2020 is ten times better, sure the pass support might have been better but goals like that and the awful way players have no reaction at times in this shows we’ve moved on to a better game. My opinion of course. Edit - forgot lol we now have a broadcast camera angle that these earlier pes’ s didn’t have which was always my absolute big bear on this game
TTB u can get full pes 2014 in ocean of games for pc..i think pes 2014 was a big step back after the great game pes 2013 was..my fav pes after ps2 era pes 5,pes 6 is pes 2013..i didnt enjoy pes 15,16 on pc...pes 17 i liked..
Here fox engine entered i think..but there were glitches,heavy touches,too slow..crossing was op..keeper was a big problem in this game..Also i forgot the ai dont attack often & occasional slowdown in consoles while taking shot specially.
Plz tell what problem u are facing in pes 13?if on pc download from ocean of games and u can surf pes 13 windows 10 in youtube..zee gaming video is there or try compatibility settings..while installing the games from site i mentioned plz switch off anti virus and install..btw do check ur drivers once..

PES 2020 is the most frustrating football game of all time. It could be amazing but it suffers from numerous issues, especially the crazy cheating it does on the superstar and legend settings. IMO PES 2017 is an absolute masterpiece in ever way. On the highest level it is 100% fair and it would take me all day explaing how every part of football is near perfectly recreated in this game. This is my favourate PES of all time and highly recommend anyone to give it a try who hasn't and anyone who finds the latest version unbearable or frustrating to return to it. I returned to it after playing 2020 and was blown away by how much more fun and enjoyable it is. 2017 is the GOAT!!!!

Too bad the PS3 version option file kit updates and licenses doesn't work :(. This is great on the PC though.
back to end 2013 when my cousin said this game was shit, wasted money bla bla, i tried 2 matches and started to like gameplay, new experiences, and future PES will be like this (with more fitures obviously), i still wonder, even in this days, so many people stick with PES 2013 (with new season patch)
i remember after kick off, you can just straight run and make goal chances, defenders freezing short time, and then konami released patch to fixed this, i just miss those days man

Pes 11 was probably the best since PS2 and anything after it. 14 was poor, but maybe looks better because of what happened after.
