      I’ve taken that trail a few times now. It’s become one of my favourite chill day trips to take the Monkey on that trail to the Train Station Inn, have a latte, and then take the trail back.
      The trail I hit at the end of the day was the trail you found on your Cape Breton series. It was awesome once I got off of the beach! 😂 Cheers!

    Too funny ! I was looking into these Monkeys a few weeks ago on RUclips . The thing about the Honda Cubs , Groms , Monkeys etc are they make everything about motorcycling seem so simplified and fun . Less miles probably per day but you see more . Transporting them on the back of your vehicle or inside a mini van seems simple if needed . On and Off the bike is so simple and quick . Not to heavy to lift if they go down . They cruise at an acceptable speed most of the time . They attract curious people ...Its funny how many Vespas , Scooters and small bikes you see people using in Europe . So much simpler and cheaper then having a vehicle . This series will be fun to watch as I grew up in the Pictou County area . Although I have a Honda 500 like yours I am still a bit pee-ed off at Honda for not offering the Honda Cub to the Canadian market . Even the 350 adv would be nice to see in showrooms here but notta . Thanks for sharing .

      It really is a great little bike. Impossible to get your hands on one. I lucked out because I told my local dealer in 2018 to call me if the Monkey ever made it to Canada. I forgot all about it but that same salesman called me the day that the bike was announced because he had a list and my name was at the top. I needed another bike like another hole in the head but I knew if I didn’t buy it on the spot I probably wouldn’t have another chance. That dealer now has a wait list of over 30 people and Honda can only promise them 5 or 6 Monkeys a year.
      I have my name in on the Trail125 and Dax in case they ever come here. Not holding my breath but you never know.

      @@506motoadv I came across a group of people online that started a list of people wanting a Trail125 . Its online somewhere . I think that they were going to send the list to Honda Canada to show how many people have an interest in buying one . I should put my name into my local dealer also , you never know eh !

    • @506motoadv
      @506motoadv  Год назад +1

      Yep, you never know! I think they’ll get here eventually. Canada is just a very small market which makes it hard to justify sending us a few hundred bikes when they can’t even keep up to demand elsewhere.

    Thanks, watching from Ireland 🤟

    • @506motoadv
      @506motoadv  4 месяца назад +1

      I have a Honda rear rack and a Takegawa side rack on mine. I mount a 30L drybag on the rear rack and an 8L drybag on the side rack, plus my backpack and tank bag. This works well enough for my typical 3-4 day trips that I do on the Monkey. If I didn’t carry camping gear or camera equipment I wouldn’t even need that much space. There’s plenty of options though with some people even rigging up a full set of hard bags onto the little bike. Cheers!

    Nice video, enjoyed the ride! I did this trip last summer and avoided main highways too but didn't find the gravel route like you did. That would have been a nice adventure on my ADV. Finding that campsite was a winfall. I want to do a lot more riding on rail trails like this but hard to find where you are allowed to go in my area. I have to research trans Canada trail and see where I'm allowed to ride.

      Yeah, the rules for off-road riding are different everywhere and ADV/Dual Sport bikes kinda fall in a grey area a lot of the time. I would happily pay for an ATV trail pass but here in New Brunswick it’s not an option for motorcycles. Snowmobile trails are ok to use though….. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
      I really lucked out finding these two trails in Nova Scotia and yes, that camping spot was about as good as it gets. Cheers!
