This is the first review that answers my question about clear vs. amber. Thanks for getting all the glasses to compare all of them!
The clear ones are they just as good for gaming?
2:27 you can tell that they reflect much more blue light which is agreed upon to be the more harmful light so it really isnt a placebo effect.
Good job reviewing these! It was almost impossible to find the answer of which lenses are better! I think I am going to go with the Amber lenses.
SOMEONE ONE PLEASE ANSWER DO THE CLEAR LENS WORK THE SAME AS THE YELLOW ONES? BY THAT I MEAN LIKE DO THEY STOP HEADACES AND STRAINED EYES THE SAME?

The difference is black lens 100% , amber lens 65%, crystalline 10% (so, no), work-play lens goes from amber to black depending on if sunlight hits it. Cheers!

I'm kinda picky on colour reproduction even when gaming and anything i'm doing on the computer, but I want to know how much they (crystalline) will help with eye stress. You said that it was slightly less effective than the yellow tints, but I want to know how much is "slightly less effective". Thanks!
Hello! I have a serious question.
I bought the Gunnar Intercept Crystalline Onyx today without any lenses prescription and when I put them on right off the bat I notice I'm having trouble reading text.Everything seems slightly blurry.
Do these glasses have a diopter by default?
Gunnar only seems to be boasting about how good these glasses are on their website without giving any significant info on them. I'm still waiting for a reply from them.I feel scammed ...
Yes they do. I think they have a +1 diaoptor to help enlarge the screen when you wear them while using the computer. You can test this yourselve.
I have a question, I only can buy one gunnar and i want it for study design and for gaming, what is it better crystallyne or amber?

Which is better? Quit all gaming due to eye pain or use gunnar glasses?
Would you think Amber or Crystallin is better for someone who is Gaming but also getting the Prescription version? I haven't worn prescription glasses in a long time, so i'm thinking of getting the prescription Gunnars both for gaming (i do work on computers too, i do podcasting, video editing etc..) and for prescription use outside etc.. too.
it depends on what kind of games you are playing.If you play any first person shooter games, I recommend getting the crystalline lens. I have both the crystalline and the amber from Gunnar. the amber lens make everything on the screen blend in, which is bad if you want to spot enemy. Plus the amber look silly if you want to wear them everyday.
The amber one would be better if you are worrying about eyestrain and fatigue. It will reduce the color contrast within the game, which might take some getting used to.

Minecraft_First Gunnar has stated that the amber tent do work better for controlling eye strain than the crystalline ones. Crystalline are for people who need colors to be accurate but also keep some strain off their eyes.

I have the black framed Gunnar glasses and they're heavy as hell. I can't wear them for more than an hour.
So, the crystal ones are the same as the Amber ones except the yellow tint? So what is the yellow tint for then?

They claim that they have a coating or something so they still do something. But I agree. They're pretty much useless compared to the amber ones.

no they work alright, i still wear them in public, but im always on my phone, on my ps vita, and gaming, or even watching movies at home. when i didnt have these, i wals always getting eye strain and couldnt read, atleast like 3 times a day and when i get eye strain i couldnt use my phone, or read at all, but they do work, for me

How much do the amber distort colour?
+Vozella they distort the color a bunch but they up the contrast so for gaming they are amazing but for photo editing or anything that deals with color accuracy they are something you dont want so gaming color distort doesnt matter much but color accuracy in bad

"Placebo effect" You either feel better or you don't that's the bottom line.
Not really, it filters out blue light which is harmful for your eyes if you spend a very long time infront of a screen.
So how did i get migraine attacks after gaming a night, but after using the glasses i dont get it?
The one thing I can tell you about these glasses is I don't get my migraine,s that I've had all my life
